Close proximity to supermarket and restaurants on the main road! Contrary to the description on booking.com there is no swimmingpool. There is a viewing deck near the river but it is outside the property. They will provide a key.

• Sandra (8/5): Boat cruise and game drive during 2-day pleasant stay at Kasane Self-Catering - Nice and cosy place with a special get-away porch at the edge of the Chobe river. Very conveniently situated close to a coffee shop, pizza-place and shopping centre. Mosquito net over the bed ensured a peaceful night's sleep. Very convenient that activities can be booked through the lodge and be collected from "home". At first I could not find USB ports to charge our phones and I was worried, since I just assumed it would be provided. But I found them the following afternoon. Perhaps it can be mentioned to the guests in case they also do not see them immediately. It would be good to have a microwave in the kitchen to quickly warm up a left-over pizza. The water in the bathroom was cold in the morning, and there was no plug for the basin to use water from the kettle for a warm wash instead.

• RB (7/5): Kann aber muss nicht, je nach Anspruch - Weiche Betten mit Mosquitonetz; jeden Tag neue Handtuecher, Basic Küche mit Kühlschrank und AC da Versteckt 30m von Strasse weg, was Abends ein ungutes Gefühl gibt. Nachts geht zwar grellhell die Beleuchtung am Parkplatz hinter der Mauer an; geht man aber im Dunklen direkt zum Appartment muss man im Dunkel durch schmalen, kurzen überwachsenen Weg laufen und hat keine Ahnung wo man hintappt mit im "Urwald"; könnte man wirklich besser lösen. Ausserdem lässt sich auf den engen Steinplatten, die überwachsen sind auf dem schmalen Weg, wirklich schlecht mit den koffern durchgehen, geschweige das man was sieht was sich dort versteckt. Unangenehm auf vom Sicherheitsgefühl, da Inhaber selber hinter Trellidor wohnt. Der Weg zur Aussichtsplattform bringt auch nix - gefühlt mitten durch Schlangen/Urwaldgebiet - sinnlos.

Kitchenette was well equipped for preparing breakfast and meals, and two restaurants were in short walking distance for lunch and dinner. The garden was really beautiful and fenced property safe.

Ook het pad naar het dek en het dek met zicht op de Chobe River zijn fijn. Lekker rustig en Sandy is een lieve gastvrouw. Niks negatief maar een paar ligbedjes bij het zwembad zouden fijn zijn om af te koelen.

• Gabriele (8/5): Zentrale Unterkunft - Sehr zentral gelegene Unterkunft. Küchenzeile mit Kühlschrank und 2 Herdplatten. Kaffeekapselmaschine, Wasserkocher, Mikrowelle und ausreichend Geschirr. Moskitonetz über den Bett. Ausflug zu den Victoriafällen wurde kurzfristig organisiert. Wäsche wurde gewaschen. WLAN war einen Tag nicht verfügbar und am zweiten Tag sehr schlecht. Personal war nur tagsüber vor Ort. Für Fragen stand niemand zur Verfügung.

• Simon (9/5): Very much worth a visit - Very well managed operation, extremely comfortable tented accommodation, small but very clean and cooling swimming pool, sunset cruise of 90 minutes with big crocs and many birds, well spaced out tents, great views on the river, including a very large croc.on the opposite bank, and lots of monkeys. Big, efficient mosquito net. Good bar food. Prices in the gift shop a bit high, but you don't need to buy! very noisy bird disrupting sleep, but you are in Africa....

• Paul (8/5): Central location - The location is central in Kasane which made it easy to walk to Coffee Buzz, the supermarket and the pizza restaurant. The room was a good size and the garden area was pleasant. The staff were all very pleasant. We were in the Family Room which turned out to be the one closest to the main road with no means of blocking out the road noise. Unfortunately, this starts very early in the morning. Also the garden, which was lovely, was also noisy because of the location. We walked to the viewpoint on the river which was very disappointing and not worth doing. Parking is very tight.

• Luis Pascual de la Torre (9/5): An amazing solution in Kasane - The room is totally independent, so close to an apartment than to a room in fact. The garden is extremely nice, and the attendance was superb. In fact we had a problem with the transport and they assist us to provide a great solution for us in a record time. Their advise were excellent and we felt very comfortable. There was a problem with the electricity (not an issue of the apartment) and they assist us extremely quick giving some additional light. The sofa-bed is not so comfortable as the main bed, and it has no mosquito protection, but it is recommended.

It might need a better sign outside to make it easier to locate. There is a sign, but on the opposite side of street.

We loved our time staying there. I really can't think of anything. We were completely happy with our stay. We would definitely stay there again if returning to Kasane.

• Soc_19 (1/5): Not recommended - The cruise booked by the hotel was nice. The photos don't correspond to reality. The accommodation is not clean and requires urgently renovation. For us it was impossible to sleep, it's full of mosquitos and spiders and despite spraying the room it's almost impossible to make sure you get a relaxed sleep. After killing the third spider we decided to leave and spent the night in another accommodation in Kasane.

Trish the owner came as we were discussing and we agreed I pay jn the morning because clearly the girl was unhappy to be there as it was after 6. Place was very badly lit. Too many mosquitoes and even though they knew I was arriving no one drew the mosquito nets and sprayed to ensure the room was without them. Slept so badly. For the price the owner can afford to put bottled water for guest. But only borehole treated water was there. Not my thing. Everything in the kitchen undesirable. Much as I couldn’t sleep well by 8 the same girl was at my door asking me to pay. Had no coffee and was slowly waking up. I left feeling like a backpacker. Sorry even though Trish was nice to talk to doesn’t change the fact that this was business. I truly wouldn’t recommend anyone looking to chill quietly.

The pool is a welcome bonus as is the dock overlooking the river. One can organize game drives and river tours from here.

The plants around the walkways could do with some trimming as very in your face, and not so pleasant when wet.

• Helene (10/5): Exceptional - My favourite selfcatering place in Botswana. Extremely convenient, kitchen in perfect condition, basic supplies for breakfast such as coffee, sugar even milk provided. Bed is good and mosquito net functional. Bathroom clean, good shower. Walking distance to supermarket and restaurants. Garden and path to the viewing deck full with birds. For the swimming pool you have to go to neighbouring premises, which is in fact not a problem at all.

• Chris (8/5): enjoyable time and comfortable stay. - lady on duty was very helpful area around Braai needs to be cleared of vegetation. difficult to get to the braai area and found it overgrown.
