- Bruce (8/5): - Not a 5 star but adequate
- Sylvie (9/5): -
- Antoine (9/5): -
- BRIAN (5/5): Felt in a dungeon - Nothing much Too old, no check in or out at the place available, the hotel is too dated
- Nisali (8/5): -
- Guest (1/5): -
- Jill (7/5): - Breakfast was good value. Location of hotel is good, easy walking distance to other downtown locations. Updates are in progress, so some work still needs to be done.
- sukh (10/5): - Room very clean
- Angela (5/5): Excellent location. - Room temperature and bed are very comfortable. Itās hard for me to claim those stairs on crutches.
- Angela (6/5): Excellent location for a short stay. - Central location. AC and water works well. Thereās a broken crib at the end of the hallway which makes it look very untidy and not professional.
- Pardeep (6/5): - Old rundown place
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Rooms are small but clean and updated. Staff was friendly and helpful.
- Guest (8/5): Room was clean and comfortable and just perfect for our stay - The air conditioning was much appreciated after a day out visiting the Wine Village
We had a good dinner and our waiter was attentive and genuinely friendly
Loved reading the history of the hotel and we are so pleased that you have saved and improved it We had to leave early so missed breakfast at 9:00.
- Sanders (8/5): Comfortable and restful. Good value for area. - Good budget hotel. 100 years old, but in good condition. Great location for visiting wineries in area. Swimming lake 5 minutes away. Oliver is a quiet town. Sidewalks roll up at 9 pm. Still had a very quiet comfortable sleep. Good air conditioning. Kitchenette was unfinished. Sink not yet installed.
- Linda (5/5): - Nice breakfast for the price Bathroom was very tiny!
- Eileen (10/5): - Very quaint and unique Comfortable

- Trina (6/5): Itās frustrating the price you have to pay for a two star hotel. I had to keep reminding myself itās two star no matter - Locations is great. Itās kind of a neat old building. Pub has a decent breakfast and the staff were very nice (except one who was very unhelpful when we asked for a much needed table for the room) The room did not have a table like it does in the pictures nor does it have a microwave as promoted. It was clean enough but somebody really needs to wash the bathroom walls. Like others have mentioned the A/C unit is REALLY loud and they have the thinnest one ply toilet paper you can buy.
- Dean (10/5): - This place was fantastic very nice room ,everyone so friendly
Place was close to everything which was great
We ate in there pup and had the best fish and chips I have ever had
I would highly recommend this place
- Charles (7/5): -
- Brian (2/5): Would not recommend this hotel. - The most expensive room during our 8 day trip and possibly the worst place we stayed. The television did not work and the air conditioner remote didn't work. couldn't control the air conditioner at all due to it's location. The attendant offered us a couple of drinks in the bar as compensation. We don't drink.
- Carla (10/5): - Wonderful property. We stayed in Oliver for the night, and it was lovely .
Highly recommend
- Rommel (10/5): - Excellent location, quick check in check out.
- Virvicius (7/5): Good -
- Trisha (10/5): - Neat history and was very thankful the room had A/C. Lobby and hallway was warm but room was great!
- Candida (10/5): So comfy! - The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The personalized greeting was very much appreciated. When we came back to our room after a days outing the housekeeper left 2 swan towels on our bed! She did an excellant job of cleaning our room. Also the service in the downstairs pub was very good.
- Kathy (8/5): - Quick check in , spacious room
- Alma (10/5): - Unique building.
Difficult steps for older people
- Karen (8/5): - Nice employees, old but clean hotel
- Jason (10/5): - Old school made new school, nice upgraded rooms, pub Nextdoor with live music, nice place Iād stay there again.
- Hannah (6/5): - The hotel and room was clean but no one working reception when we checked in and had to wait.
Air conditioner in the room but too small and ineffective for temperatures
- John (10/5): - Friendly and professional staff, reasonable rates and very clean
- Lindsay (10/5): Cute Hotel! - Hotel was friendly upon check in. The hotel had an old charm that was special. The rooms were clean.
- Larry (9/5): Superb -
- Andy (10/5): - I enjoyed my stay. The place was clean, quiet and safe. The place is also over 100 years old. So although some items may be worn, it had that old world charm I would stay here again.
- Supun (9/5): Superb - The room had everything we needed, including a small fridge, microwave, and a coffee maker. The staff was nice, and the check-in/check-out went seamlessly. Great value for money!
- Mike (10/5): - It was a great stop over on our way to the island. Has character and history. It was a great suite for a family of six. The staff was friendly and helpful.
- William (9/5): Wonderful staff and clean modern rooms in a heritage hotel. - The manager was very kind and helpful. The heritage hotel has kept its charm while the renovated rooms are clean with beautifully renewed flooring, modern bathroom, and a very comfortable bed. Next time I'm in Oliver, I will be sure to stay here again.
- Susan (8/5): - Centrally located, quiet for being on a Main Street.
- Wayne (4/5): Next to no sleep got up early and left - Good location A/c was so loud that it sounded like a train in the room all night. So loud you could not watch tv due to the noise. Bed was old and uncomfortable.
- Pat (8/5): Very good -
- Sally (8/5): Very pleasant and relaxed, perfect to stay and crash after a day at the wineries - We picked this property based on location, which was great. Would say it was great value for your money. An older looking building and some aspects need updating but the Room was clean, cool and quiet. And it had facilities you need for a short stay. Parking available right outside. Staff were friendly. Decor looks a-bit dated but to be expected with an older building. But appreciate that the rooms were clean and all linens look new and fresh.
- Christina (6/5): Pleasant - Location was good. The smell of the room. Stains on the mattress which was very uncomfortable. The room was clean other than cob webs on the inside of the window. But that smell was not pleasant. The lady at front counter was a bit rude and we didn't see much of staff at all. Being such a old hotel it wasn't that bad. Could do better in the rooms though.
- Marcel (8/5): Great place - parking was close...room was clean...good air conditioning Unfortunately we could have breakfast at the hotel - although it stated it opened at 9 AM it was locked.
- Gina (8/5): Very good -
- Greg (8/5): Very good -
- Andreas (8/5): - Overall a good stay, it was comfortable and quiet. Rooms and bathrooms are a bit dated, no other complaints
- Marlene (5/5): Great Location...rooms clean. - Great people managing/own the property. Very friendly. mini bar was a nice touch. Live music was great.... The room facilities are tired.....needs more in the unit in terms of glasses/cups/silverware. The menu at the restaurant is typical quick bar food, prefer healthier choices.
- Loretta (10/5): - Good value. Clean, older but kinda charming and had everything we need. Nice amenities in the room. I would stay again.
- sandy (8/5): - Central location. Pub is Great! Very Historic. Love thst
- Georg (10/5): - Great little place to stay!
- Miguel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Don (9/5): Superb - Very convenient location. Pub attached had great food at reasonable prices. Room on second floor with no elevator which makes it difficult for us seniors to get ourselves let alone the baggage to our room. Instructions for Air conditioner would be helpful.
- mike (10/5): - It is close to the event I was attending
- Verified traveler (6/5): Room for improvement. - Overall a decent stay and a good location for central Oliver. The service was good. I have to say that the shower head is terrible, I have never experienced such a low flow of water from a shower.
- Michael (8/5): - I was pleasantly surprised. Itās an old hotel but the rooms were very clean and surprisingly quiet
- Michele (8/5): Hockey tournament stay - Good spot with a pub attached so super convenient right in the heart of Oliver
- Keith (10/5): Nice place to stay - Nice hotel, right in town with a restaurant attached
- Steven (6/5): Pleasant -
- Anne (10/5): - Quaint place. Just happened to book for the same day of the Howling Coyote Pubs grand opening. Attached to the hotel.
- Laura A (10/5): - Very good room and clean
- Gordon (8/5): - Room was clean and a decent size.
Bed was comfortable, decent shower
Reception was a bit different and the pub/ bar was closed. All said a good place to stay. Centrally located. The hotel sign could use some TLC.
- Larry (10/5): We loved it - Very cool 96 year-old building that is recently been renovated. The rooms were immaculate. The desk clerk was extremely friendly and easy to deal with.
- Vanessa (6/5): - Nice service
- Michael (10/5): - Consistently great service. Super comfy bed. Clean, fresh, safe, Nice lines and stocked mini fridge
- Kelli (10/5): Pleasant surprise :) - Itās an older property , but it reminded us of places we stayed in Europe and loved that! Loved the snacks and the welcome :) super nice staff , excellent location , easy to walk everywhere we needed to go We were super happy ! Great value for price!
- Alice (8/5): Good value, good location friendly staff - I really liked the character of the hotel. It is almost 100 years old but has been renovated to keep the hardwood floors and the charm. It was very quiet and clean. The staff were all very friendly. There was a short note, in my room, welcoming me to the hotel. I thought this was a nice personal touch.
- Jim (10/5): - All good!
- Leigh (9/5): Superb -
- Kathy (10/5): - Didnāt look like much but once we got in it was very clean . Small note in bedroom to welcome us. Very clean
- Patricia (5/5): Overnight stay in Oliver - Character building in a central location in town. Walk to great Indian restaurant for dinner and a bakery for breakfast.
Clean room and adjoining bathroom
Small fridge and good tea selection.
Off street parking provided Window was not openable so could not allow some fresh air into bedroom so had to keep a very noisy air conditioner on
- Matt (8/5): - I gave it a 4 out of 5 because it is an older facility, otherwise, everything else was a 5. It is so clean you could eat off the floors.
- Natasha (8/5): - No staff on site after 8pm so had to make a reservation for a late check-in. St off was pleasant though and email communication was good.
- Ming (8/5): Very good -
- Virginia (7/5): Good -
- ęµē¾å (6/5): Pleasant -
- Larissa (8/5): Very good -
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Scott (10/5): - The friendliest staff Iāve ever met. They even let me push my motorcycle right next to the front door! I loved my stay and will definitely stay there again.
- Flowers (10/5): Highly recommended - Clean N/A
- John (6/5): Pleasant - Good location
Good price They locked the door at 6pm
Rooms dated
- Glenn (10/5): very accommodating -
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sam (10/5): Super cozy and central hotel ! - The room was very comfortable and clean! Staff was very friendly, communicative and helpful. The main area needs updating but I assume thatās in the works since the rooms look more modern.
- Norman (10/5): - Friendly customer service. Good dining and shopping options in the area. The room was clean and the mattresses are good quality.
- Suvam (10/5): Mandeep was very helpful - Supplies in the room
- Wade (8/5): Very good -
- Keith (8/5): Very good -
- christian (8/5): - Downtown Oliver, all nicely redone inside and very clean. However the air conditioning was noisy as was the fan in the bathroom and the windows donāt open. Staff was super nice.
- Colliss (9/5): Very convenient and comfortable - I liked the spaciousness of the room and that the mini fridge was stocked with snacks and non alcoholic beverages. I wished the pub was open.
- John (8/5): Very good - Although they had a fairly early close to their check-in they went out of their way to point this out to me and to ensure that there was in fact a staff member available when I did arrive later that evening. The rooms are very clean, there is a welcome note, there's a coffee machine that is well stocked. The room was clean and I had a good night sleep. Certainly would go back again. When I parked my vehicle with U-Haul trailer on the road a police officer stopped to suggest that I back up the trailer against a wall or another vehicle, because of concerns about recent break-ins to trailers.
- Ron (8/5): Good location but this whole town closes at 9:00 except for fast food - The place is old but good shape There was a pub below but it was closed for Reno
There was no elevator.
- David (9/5): Very good stay - We liked that the hotel gave for free little extras like bottle water, coffee, tea, kettle, coffee maker, and a lot of toiletries and towels. The room was also very clean. Just wished they had an elevator although person at the front desk offered to help with the baggage. Wished they had elevator and not see trash like old mattresses when I looked outside my window
- Meli (9/5): Superb -
- Brittany (10/5): - Great place would stay again
- Noman (5/5): Passable - I was stuck in US and reached the hotel around 11:30 pm in the night. I informed the hotel through email in advance. They charged me extra $29 for taking me in. :(
- Varinderjeet (10/5): - Everything great
