• Shannon (2/5): Do your self a favour and don’t stay here. - Location. Cockroach’s were in the kitchen daily. Air conditioning leaked so badly it was unusable. Everything was dirty from the elevator to the stair well.

• Housam (1/5): Digusting dirty filthy for the first time I didn’t want to be on a holiday - Nothing Well we booked this apartment because of the kitchen and laundry room, unfortunately the Rangehood wasn’t working in the kitchen and the dryer wasn’t working. We called coastal letting Co and the said they will fix them but they sent a tradesman out he took photos and left. Now about the room it was disgustingly dirty windows were filthy when my kids were trying to open the sliding door their hands got dirty. Floors weren’t mopped or swept another filthy experience when walking on the floors making all our feet dirty. Upstairs bedroom wasn’t use because of the heat and having no a/c up there too hot!!! To sleep ended up sleeping on the fold out couch with the whole family Other bedroom had two single beds that had stains and dirty bed sheets Kitchen was filthy enough to have cockroaches coming in out out from under the dish washer was very disturbing My wife spent the first 3 hours cleaning and making the place liveable for our 7night stay I will not be booking anything rooms for coastal letting Co. again staff were rude and not understanding They were asking me for photos but yet they had the cleaner come out and she told us that she will be back to mop the floors never showed up They told us they will replace the Rangehood and dryer again they sent someone and he took photos
• Natalia (2/5): Misleading photos. Not clean. Won’t stay again - Location was good. Near tram stop. There’s a grocery store and 2 restaurants on ground level which is pretty convenient. Beach is 1 block away In photos the property looks great, however the building itself it’s not. Strange smell in the unit. Mouldy AC, bedsheet not clean at all. I had to wash them myself. Dust. Dishwasher smelled terribly. Safety wise: building did not have a single evacuation diagram in case of fire/ emergency. During the weekends it gets loud and the carpark remains open the majority of the time. Which led that anyone could access your car or the property. Regarding coastal letting co staff: not only ignored my request for an early check in. They ended up not sending the check in codes/ how to access instructions on time. Had to call them twice one to get the codes to pick up the keys (that by the way it’s on their office so once you check out you have to go back to their office to return the keys) and then to figure out what was my room number and how to access the property.
• Annie (3/5): - Very spacious, one of the biggest apartments I’ve stayed in whilst travelling the coast. Good amenities too. Check-In Experience After travelling from the Sunshine Coast with 30kg of luggage, my partner and I selected this apartment via Booking.com due to an issue with our prior accommodation. Booking.com stated that “the host will be in contact near your arrival time” regarding check-in. We arrived at the property at approximately 4:50pm and attempted to access the apartment, but quickly realised we had not been provided with any entry instructions. I messaged the property repeatedly (around 10 times), beginning at 5:09pm, but received no response. As a female backpacker in an unfamiliar area, I became increasingly concerned as it was getting dark and, despite having booking confirmation, we had no way to access the accommodation or contact the host. Despite the property receiving our check-in request, no details were provided about how to enter the apartment. Eventually, my partner recalled reviews mentioning a lockbox and asked a family leaving the complex for help. This was the first time we became aware that a lockbox even existed. At around 6:00pm, my partner checked the lockbox, but we had no pin code and therefore no access to the key. I was left sitting outside the apartment alone with all of our luggage for over an hour. Alternative Accommodation With no communication from the host and no way to access the property, we had no choice but to book a hotel down the road for the night. Fortunately, a room was available, but it was far beyond our budget and not the accommodation we had originally booked. Follow-Up with Coastal Letting The following day, we visited Coastal Letting in person and were given the key. We explained the situation to the staff member at the desk, who was very understanding and apologetic. She informed us that a text message had been sent to me containing an online safety check-in link required to access the key. I did not receive this message.

• KYOKO (6/5): 総じて住んでよかったと思えているので「賛」の方が上回っている。賃貸で借りれるのなら値段次第で住み続けたいと思えるくらい。とはいえ賛否両論。 海外生活スタートさせた最初の１ヶ月、洗礼を浴び身の引き締まる思いでした。 - こちらのアパートはまさに賛否両論という言葉が当てはまる物件です。 まず「賛」について、築浅ということもありとても綺麗、海まで徒歩３分かつトラムの駅まで徒歩１分という立地、そしてアパートの隣にはコンビニや飲食店、BWS（酒屋）がある。特にチキンを売っているお店は味もサービスもいい。店長さんの人柄最高。 次に「否」について、メールのレスポンスの悪さ、トラブルへの対応の遅さ、これはかなりのマイナス。１番のマイナスは実体験の報告から。 現地到着した時間が遅くなってしまったので、事務所は閉まっていた。本来、事務所へ行き電話番号の下四桁を入力すると鍵が受け取れるそう。その旨が事前に送られてくるメールに記載があるそうだが、当日まで届かなかった。たまたま通りかかったそのことを知っている人が助けてくれたのでなんとか入室。入室すると更なる驚きが… ドアが開いている。しかもタオルが挟まった状態で。部屋の清掃はおそらくしていたのだろうが、なんだか汚い。 その後、住んでいる途中に乾燥機が壊れてしまい、管理会社へ報告したところ、担当者が様子を見に来てくれた。ただそれだけ…。日当たりは決して良くないので洗濯物問題があったのは地味に辛かったこと。

• Elizabeth (4/5): Great location, not so great stay - Fantastic location, super close to the beach and also the tram line. You can get anywhere within surfers super easily. Great there is use of washer and dryer Down stairs neighbours makes your stay unpleasant. They’re very loud and smoke cigarettes, so if your window or door is open expect to smell it. Not the best when you’re travelling with kids/babies. The apartment was quite dirty, the floor didn’t seem to have been swept or mopped at all. All the pots and pans had water left in them with their lids on, so we had to rewash everything before use. The dishwasher didn’t work, so it was all hand washing. The aircon didn’t hit the bedroom at all, so it was hot every night sleeping. The shower was also quite dirty, and you can see mould appearing in the silicone. Will say, we were quite disappointed in our stay. Probably won’t be back.

• Linda (7/5): - Spacious, close to tram As a single Mum travelling on the train/ tram, to pick up and drop off the keys at Coastal letting just cost extra money in Ubers.

• Anthony (7/5): Overall was a pleasant experience, easily accessible location but some downsides which impact. - The location was good, relatively close to most things and a short walk to the beach. Collection of the keys was a nightmare as the responsible realestate agent couldn't ring an international mobile, and emails sent took days to arrive. Finally managed to obtain access to the apartment after going to the realestate agents office and photographing the supposedly sent email. Neighbors - while they are outside of the owners control they still impact those around them. The shops downstairs, which was a local "hangout", which, in the evenings and on weekends became littered with rubbish. Another notable item was the small-time drug exchanges that occurred at the front of the apartment building nearly every evening.

• Sudeep (7/5): Good - Great location with easy access to the beach and public transportation. Its about 1 km away from the main busy surfers paradise area, which we liked - far enough to avoid the crowds, but close enough to visit easily. The room had many amenities (kitchen, appliances, laundry,etc) as advertised, and made it very convenient for a long stay. The host allowed us to keep our bags at the letting office as we were very early for check-in, which we really appreciated and allowed us to explore the area before actual check-in time. The arrangements for key pickup/drop-off is not great. The letting office is about 1.2kms from the property - so having to go there with our bags, pickup the keys and going to the property required an extra Uber ride. The host insisted on returning the key to the letting office on checkout, which added to some extra time and effort for checkout. This could be easily solved if the key pickup/drop can be done at the locked mailbox at the property. The main bedroom does not have a fan or ac unit. The split AC unit is only in the living room. So we had to run the AC and keep the bedroom door open to get the bedroom cooler. Our daughter sleeping on the sofa bed in the living room was quite cold and had to put a blanket on, but it was relatively warm in the bedroom.

When I booked this property my discount code was not used and I asked for this to be refunded but it never happened.

• Harvey (9/5): Superb - Well appointed, spacious, close to beach and attractions. Loved the balcony and the well appointed kitchen. The lift wasn't reliable - often wouldn't take us to or from the basement car park. Couldn't get the clothes drier to work. More toilet paper needed for 4 adults over 9 days.

Bed was comfy, key collection/return was very easy. Undercover parking valve and Close to the beach which was nice.

• Aileen (6/5): Our stay was great but the cleanliness of the stairway leading to the apartment needs to be cleaned regularly and the ap - Great location for beach and a short walk to Surfers Paradise shops, restaurants, etc Had all the necessary essentials in the apartment for use during our stay; washing machine, dishwasher, iron etc There were no hangers in the wardrobes ( pretty standard in an apartment)when we arrived so had to contact agents and they were sent round promptly the next day. Stairway into the apartments were unclean with a dead cockroach sitting there for two weeks plus spilled food from someone’s carry out which also sat there for two weeks.
• Fd (9/5): Small copy Apartment - It was very nice and bright. Very close to the beach. All the amenities were good. There was no fan in the bedroom downstairs, and it was too hot to sleep there, so my children slept outside. The dryer was not working.
• D'elia (9/5): Great place, great location. - Location was great. Facilities available were great. Proximity to the light rail was fabulous, and the beach was a two minute walk. The upstairs sleeping area was super hot compared to downstairs but didn't help that the days we were there the weathwr was super hot outside (30-38 degrees and humid). Would benefit from a ceiling fan.
• Nadeesh (8/5): Value for money. Need cleaning though - Convenient location. Had everything I needed. Cleanliness. Bathroom had mauled. Floor wasn’t cleaned. 5mins of walking my feet were black. Had to wear slippers during the stay. Sofa had sand. Must have been the previous tenants. Cleaners didn’t bothered to clean the place at all.
