Guest Reviews
- Megan (7/5): Good -
- Mohammad (9/5): Superb -
- Sheng (1/5): Bad - location was not too far from the old town. but you wiill need to drive or take taxi anyways
room size is not small. no English service. super hard to communicate and service guy only cares about the money. room and toilet and kitchen sink smells bad. bathroom facility was old. 100% not worth the price. you will need to cancel booking order for small discount. it was totally ripping off. don't book it if price is higher than 150sar. not worth it
- Vinod (8/5): Very good - Location was convenient. Property could have been little better. Cost is more considering the facilities, perhaps because of EID holidays. Mr. Nadir was very helpful and thoughtful. He gave me a new room when i reported AC issue at once. Water pressure in the bathroom could have been better.
- Anonuevo (7/5): Good -
- Balavigneshwaran (3/5): Expect least for big fee - No Availability of service staff, too expensive compared to amenities and safety measures provided (eg: CCTV not working, poor parking facility, Conventional door locks, very low speed wifi, no replacement of toiletries, towels and so on), one good thing is location
- Abdulaziz (7/5): Good -
- Andreas (10/5): Exceptional - Bader and Nader who took car of us were very friendly and helpful! Asking often, if we needed anything, bringing us water, tea, fruit and even painkillers for my throat. They very hospitable and making sure, we had everything requiered. Nothing.
- Sza54 (7/5): Good choice in AlUla - Easy to find it, near the road. Parking is easy. The owner young man was very kind with his minimal English speaking. The room was comfortable, excellent bed. Kithen with many bottle of water, nescoffee and tea.
Walking distance there are supermarket, fast food. Overpriced, as everythying in AlUla.
In the bathroom the shower was nat separeted from the WC so everything has been wet.
Only small table in the kithen.
- Eurose (9/5): Amazing stay ❤️ - Our host, Mr. Nader was very accommodating
Near the old town and most of the touristy spots in Al Ula None
- Emanuele (6/5): Ok quality, compared to many other hotels in AlUla - - Room was ready and smell free (unlike many other budget hotels in Al Ula
- staff is super friendly and helpful
- the furniture is decent
- quiet and silent, even if next to the road - water heater serves only one person. Second will take cold water
- the lights in the room are very unpleasant. Cold white like in a hospital
- the bathroom floor is slippery
- the room heating is not working and was quite cold at night and especially morning
- no hotel lobby or check in counter, making it feel more like a “house converted” into a hotel with an awkward feeling once you get in
- Raymond (3/5): Poor - Nothing like the pictures. Lousy area. Terrible shower rooms
- Marcof007 (8/5): well located and plenty of car parking. - The management was very friendly and helps a lot with the baggage, the parking, the location of restaurants and find attraction around. The lights in the room cannot be switched off from the bed.
- Heather (8/5): great time in Alula - Nader was an amazing host. He was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay It would be good if there was a sign out front of the building as buildings in this area look similar
- Cynthia (10/5): Thank you Mr. Nader - Mr. Nader, the host of this hotel is so kind, helpful and hardworking.
To help us to take our luggage and provide the heating equipment and drinking warter. The room is comefortalbe and lovely with simple but sufficient kitchen facilites. The supermarket is not faraway.
nothing
- Simon (10/5): Exceptional - Great host who showed us what true hospitality is! He made us feel like home. Thank you very much!
The hotel is not far away from old town. It is only a short drive. It is even possible to walk. In the area there are many supermarktes and restaurants.
The room is spacious and has everything you need. Highly recommended for a stay in Al-Ula.
- Raymond (3/5): Poor - Nothing. Terrible bathrooms. Overpriced. Terrible building. Bad area
- Yarshad (10/5): Spacious rooms in with excellent hospitality. - Nadar was very helpful and kind, he attended every request we had. Hotel is on the main road and close to the center and old town. Rooms are not very luxurious but serves the purpose best. Air condition/Heating was not working in our room, but Nadar provided a room heater and extra blankets.
- Khalid (8/5): Nice, cosy and friendy place with a great welcoming host. - Great, friendly, and very welcoming host. The place was in a good location with short drive to most of the key destinations within Al Ula.
- Shabir (7/5): Good - Average facilities No comment
- Jesse (5/5): Decent place but cramped for family - Great location, beautiful surroundings with the rock cliffs. Tow bedroom was nice for large family but only single bathroom, and it was cramped and not function for the family.
Not a bad place but too expensive for the level of accommodations.
- Juraj (8/5): Very good -
- Che (8/5): A very comfortable, very easy to access any location, easy to parking and staff very helpful especially Mr Nadar.. he is - Comfortable and very clean No counter reception..
- Andrew (9/5): An excellent start in a marvellous part of the country - Good location if you have a car for access to AlUla and sights. Comfortable room. The proprietor Na’ad was very friendly and helpful.
- Yuhe (9/5): good - I will definitely recommend this place if you are looking for an affordable stay here in AlUla. The staff is so friendly and helpful during the stay. The location is good about 10 mins driving to town center. The room is clean and tidy, and it has everything even you can cook your own food. Highly recommended! There was no hot water at one night during stay, probably the staff is still updating the facilities.
- Enjang (10/5): The room is clean and the beds are large - Excellent Service by Mr. Nadir (Egyptian Receptionist) Nothing
- Jonathan (9/5): Superb - Apartment was very clean and tidy. Check in and out was simple and quick and the two guys running the place couldn't have been more helpful and provided every thing we needed. A great place to stay.
- Emily (8/5): Friendly staff - Welcoming staff, nice comfy spacious room, short drive from AlUla old town The photos made it look like the roof terrace is accessible, but it isn’t really
- Vân (10/5): Exceptional - Wind Alula is in a very good location in Alula. It is easy to approach the Old Town, Winter Park and View Point (around 15-20min).
I ve booked the apartment with 2 bedrooms. The rooms were clean with enough facilites. Beds were big and comfortable. The host added 1 bed for us without additional charge. The kitchen is small but jt is convenience.
The things made us impressive is the warm welcone from the host of Wind Alula. The host is super nice and supportive. Nadr is very kind and helo us all the time. Everyday he checked if we need something. He also gave us with the heaters in the bedrooms as the temperature during those days is around 5-6oC and it was cold. We were really apprecited for that. It is lucky to meet the super nice host like Nadr. A toilet is small. But it is clean and reasonable for the price, espencially duribg the peak season.
- Renato (10/5): Nice and clean place close to old town - Very decent place, very clean, staff very attentive to details, supportive, room with a good space for a family of three, impeccable bathroom, we would stay one day but decided for two after so many positive factors !!! Not applicable!
- Liudmila (10/5): The property was clean, comfortable, the owner and staff very friendly and ready to assist. - The location is very good, not far from the old city. With a rental car it's perfect. N/A
- Joe (5/5): Not worth for the money. - We were visiting Al ula as family and required a two bedroom apartment. I just looked at a place with a decent amount and a good review. The review I got on the website was overwhelmed, and I didn't hesitate to book it.
I would like to share the good thing first.
1. The location is on the center, and it's easy to reach any place from here. No difficulty in finding this place.
2. The guy who was hosting us is a very nice fellow. Though he doesn't understand a single word of English, he still tries hard to copup with our needs. Finally, I give up and content with what I had.
3. The room was clean, and all the items were included. Rooms were spacious for the four of us. Now, I will go with the hard part.
1. The apartment is not worth the money I paid. The ambience and welcoming centre and the look and feel of the building are not at all welcoming. I even doubt it is a service appartntment.
2. The bathroom is very small and not suitable to shower freely.
3. The location is OK, but the room which we got is near to the road, and the vehicle passing noise and dog barking from the neighbourhood just ruined my sleep.
4. On the website it shows free parking. The parking which they provide is the road shoulder, and I feel so insecure keeping my car over there overnight. Thank God nothing wrong happened. However, even a small sound made me look for the safety of my car.
5. I am sure I won't go back to this place.
- Gabriel (8/5): Correct -
- Brieanna (8/5): Friendly hosts, comfortable amenities, but the bathroom needs to be updated. - The hosts were extremely nice and helpful. They also provided a fresh fruit basket in the room. The room was spacious with a couch and living room table. The bed was comfortable and I had a great sleep. The bathroom had a very bad smell which alot of places do in Saudi Arabia, open drain pipes which was very unpleasant to be in. There was insects inside the bathroom as well. I know that in Alula places are extremely expensive, but I felt the price for this room was too high in general.
- Abdulrahman (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marine (5/5): OK , will not come back - Relatively easy to find despite no name on the building.
Warm welcome
Plenty of water and fruit basket available
Comfortable bed Dirty: bath room has not been cleaned, trash not emptied, carpet not vacuumed for a long time.
Main door of the building filthy
Noisy: could hear people next door coughing
No English spoken (apart from the word "tip")
- Sunbreaker02 (5/5): basic apartment, only for non-fussy travellers who just need a place to shower and sleep - Host is friendly and provides what we ask for. It was by the road so traffic was quite noisy throughout the night. Only cash payment is accepted. Bathroom/toilet is very tiny and shower is right at the toilet bowl (no separate cubicle) so everything gets wet after a shower. Wifi is terrible and keeps getting disconnected.
- Nour (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, friendly staff, and a wonderful experience.
- Iryna (10/5): A good room with a nice host - The room was big, clean and nice - totally fabulous in comparison to the rest of the properties around. The host was extremely friendly, offered early check-in for free and some fruit and drinks as a welcome gift. He also spoke fluent English and was quick to respond via WhatsApp. The view from the window on the red rocks was beautiful. The room had a kitchenette which was convenient. The neighbourhood is more local than touristic, which means cheap and nice local eateries and a big grocery store. The location is close to many sightseeing places by car. The price was quite high as everywhere in Al Ula.
The wifi was too slow for using Instagram.
Although the location is close to the old town, it's a bit too far to walk. Taxis and hitchhiking worked but we needed to wait longer than reasonable - it's assumed you have a car. If you can't or don't want to rent it - prepare for some inconveniences. We rented one on our last day and navigation became far more enjoyable.
- Yvan (6/5): Pleasant - Nice staff Insanely expensive for what it was
- Mohammed (7/5): Good -
- Clark (8/5): Very good -
- Jessica (3/5): Not a place to stay for a woman - Bed was quite nice. Not a place to stay for a woman, whether alone or in a couple. It did not feel like a hotel, the guys who welcomed me were not unfriendly but they did not provide the service I was expecting for a place with such high ratings. Payment was cash only, and they did not provide a receipt. The place just felt very creepy. I was uncomfortable and pretty sure I was the only woman in the building. I double locked the door when I was inside, and had objects leaning against the door so they would make noise in case someone tried to come in at night (I was maybe overly cautious but that is how uncomfortable I felt). Bathroom smelled of drains.
- Arsalan (10/5): Exceptional - I like my whole stay there. What ever I need I just got in my room. Very great and cooperated Staff. Nothing
- Mohammad (3/5): Poor - Nothing except the stuff. Actually this apartment is for only sleeping nothing else to enjoy.
- Kevin (6/5): Pleasant -
- Richard (8/5): Good location - Location and generous supply of water
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Elyassin (8/5): Very good -
- Saeed (10/5): Exceptional - Staff were very friendly, helpful and responsive .
The manager was very generous and went extra mile in providing his own car for free to help me go places where i could not use my car..
All in all i am impressed about the hospitality of the house.
- Kural (9/5): Superb - excellent location
- Charmaine (10/5): Nice place to stay with wonderful host!! - The owner Mr. Ahmed was the best host you could ever have. He is such a wonderful person and a good soul. Very helpful too!!
- Adriaan (5/5): Passable -
- Chiara (5/5): Passable -
- Sankaran (8/5): I was on vacation with family. We enjoyed our stay in wind Al Ula - Hospitality of the owner and staff Toilet was too small
- Jawdat (10/5): Just amazing - Clean
Smells great
Above and Beyond customer service
- Taib (10/5): Very friendly & welcoming staffs, nice location, good value for money, and very comfortable & clean! - Very friendly & welcoming staffs, nice location, good value for money, and very comfortable & clean! None
- Yan (8/5): Good value for money, like home - Very good location. Check in and check out time flexible. Staff are friendly. Next to the street, a bit noisy
- Enric (10/5): Exceptional - Best place in Al Ula. Very kind people.
- Mingjie (9/5): Superb - The host is extremely friendly and helpful, making the stay warm and easy. The rooms are clean and comfortable.
- Aref (9/5): Thank you Mr Ahmed Almotlk for the good welcoming and facilitating - Comfortable and clean
- Yoseph (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rim (8/5): Great hotel, professional staff, good location. - All the staff was welcoming and very kind especially Mr Abu Talal
The appartement is well equipped, water fruits tea and coffee were offered.
The location is great 10-20 min from the main touristic sites (old city, oasis, winter park … etc) and from supermarkets and restaurants.
I highly recommend it for families visiting Alula. The first day the bathroom was not clean ( we arrived earlier than predicted 😉) but it was cleaned on our demand and the everything was Ok.
- Biju (2/5): I’ve stayed two nights & it was not comfortable as last night lost power & nobody was there to check. Also there - Nothing The location is far away from restaurants & market. It is not value for money.
- Ivaila (8/5): Very good -
- Natalie (8/5): Very good -
- Sue (6/5): Pleasant -
- Venerando (7/5): Good -
- Yin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katja (7/5): Good - Comfortable bed, desk, fruit basket, nice employee, location, lots of space Shower is partially broken,
Bad wifi, the hotel should install a sign of the name of the hotel somewhere. It was not easy to spot the hotel. It is located next to the street, so it can be a bit noisy, small bathroom: water was flooding into the corridor
- Rami (10/5): Amazing - Staff and management was cooperative and caring customers more than money Nothing
- Afif (8/5): Very good -
- Jennifer (10/5): Great location to explore Al Ula - Very friendly and available host and staff
- Muhammad (9/5): Superb - Good size. Clean. Very bright. Flexible with check-in. Very hospitable host. Bathroom is small.
- Gregorio (9/5): Superb - Very good position and great staff. People are welcoming and they’re always ready to help you
- De (8/5): Very good - The owner is so accomodating and approachable! But the staff, they dnt care if it is wee hours already and knocking at the door, with strict voice when colectiong money!
- Rui (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sundeep (6/5): Pleasant - - Great location
- Welcomed by a complimentary fruit pack and a carton of water bottles. - There were cockroaches & mosquitoes at night.
- For a large apartment (2 bedrooms, 5 beds), bathroom is extremely small.
- Occupancy was low, we were probably the only guests in the entire building.
- Magdalena (6/5): Pleasant - The appartement was very spacy and clean but there were strong chcemical smell. AC was too noisy
- Alek (7/5): Would be okay if they fix water inflow and throw away these LEDs - Host is nice, tried to solve problems. Good location. There was almost no water to have a shower and it was cold. Host tried to fix this but didn’t help.
Also couldn’t turn off that annoying LED lamp on the bed. A lot of remote controls but they did not really work. Night was like a disco.
