• Lisa (5/5): Für eine Nacht ok oder wenn man nur nach einem günstigen Schlafplatz sucht und keinen Komfort erwartet. - Das Bett war sehr bequem und der Preis war auch super. Ich hatte ein kleines privates Zimmer, in dem 2 Betten standen. Das eine Bett ist direkt zusammen gebrochen, aber das andere war bequem. Im Zimmer stand ein Ventilator, der hat sich schnell überhitzt und dann hat es verbrannt gerochen. Die Duschen und Toiletten wurden gemeinschaftlich genutzt, waren aber nicht besonders schön und die Türen ließen sich teilweise nicht richtig schließen. WLAN hat bei mir nur bei der Rezeption funktioniert und im Zimmer nicht so richtig.

Just wandering around a bit and I decided to run away The place was so dirty and stinky. No one was there to receive me. Honestly very very bad. I stay at hostel before, also budget friendly but I never saw this level of decay

• Guest (1/5): Desagradable - Nada La verdad llegué y no me di cuenta el valor del hotel hasta que tuve que pagar en el momento, pero no pensé que el valor era tan bajo por la calidad del lugar. La habitación que me entregaron tenía una ventana rota y desde el exterior emanaba un olor a descomposición (tipo animal) horrible! Claramente no pude cerrar las ventanas. Habían pulgas y/o garrapatas en la cama, así que ni siquiera dormí en ella. El baño era compartido pero la ducha no tenía agua caliente y las puertas estaban en pésimo estado. Si bien me entregaron una toalla al ingresar, el lugar está en pésimo estado, y no me parece que corresponda la definición de “Hotel”. Además, que las fotos tampoco muestran la realidad del lugar

• Anonymous (5/5): Get what u paid for - Good location water temp and pressure were perfect. It kinda felt like a prison cell just very bland no hooks or nightstand just a tiny plastic table and maybe have the air holes to outside have a mosquito net?

• Alan (3/5): only if you get stuck in town waiting for the next ferry - it's near the bus station but you need a taxi to find it at night as it's down an alley Puntarenas is a bit of a ghetto harbor town. not safe at night. all the hotels seem to cater to sketchy clientele, hourly rates kind of place.

• Jorge (6/5): We were locked in the night - They closed the main door in the night and I didn’t have the key. I had a bus early in the morning. I was ringing the bell for more than 10 minutes until someone opened the door. In case it was an emergency it could be a disaster, we were locked.

• Chayut (2/5): Very poor - I thought for $10 I'll get a kinda shack on the beach or something.. Instead the place vibe was a "room for an hour" kinda situation. The room was the size of the bed. There was no Internet and combined with the sketchy location that made me feel unsafe I didn't stay, and didn't even try to ask for my money back. Honestly I don't think that place should be on the app

• Matilda (2/5): The staff were friendly and helpful but the hotel is frankly bad (although I recognise the very low price). The room was - The staff welcomed us nicely and were friendly. They enquired about our arrival time and were there to greet us despite the late arrival. As soon as we arrived at this hotel down a dingy alleyway it smelled strongly of urine (cat or human…) inside. The hotel reception is minimally furnished. Our room was on the first floor down a long and narrow corridor which felt oppressive and unsafe as two female travellers. The room itself was not very clean and also smelled of urine, the fan was rusty, the sheets had the name of the hotel written on felt tip pen on them. On top of that the windows weren’t really windows but rather wooden planks and one wouldn’t shut and there were lots of holes in the walls. The door frame had a gap which meant anyone might peek into the room. The shared bathrooms down the hall didn’t have a working light. Overall, we stayed at this hotel as a stopover before getting the ferry to Paquera and struggled to get any sleep as we felt very on edge in this hotel, I would not recommend to travellers who might be considering doing the same.
