Guest Reviews
- Ryan Chris (1/5): -
- Sacha (6/5): Peu faire mieux mais sympa - Les gens sont super sympa. Il y a tout mais rien ne marche vraiment bien ou de manière pratique.
- Nimi (8/5): Location site is near going to Lio beach - Affordable price.
Very clean
Comfortable None
- Filip (8/5): Very good - Good value for money in El Nido. 200m from the van station. 10-15 min walk to the beach. Friendly staff, and overall a comfortable stay No wifi in the room
- Cameron (3/5): Poor -
- Kim (10/5): Everything for a good price :) Would recommend it -
- Amandine (9/5): Good location and good value Hostel - Amazing location, clean, staff very helpful, quiet and comfy beds Not a big deal but no wifi and signal in the rooms
- Maximilian (10/5): Exceptional - Quality hostel for solo travellers. Has everything that you need. Kind staff
- Elie (6/5): Pleasant - Close to the van terminal and to El Nido. The staff is very kind and helpful. The dormitory didn’t have air conditioning, which wasn’t clearly stated in the Booking.com listing. On top of that, there was only one fan, and the heat inside was unbearable. They added another fan, but it still wasn’t enough.
- Tadhg (7/5): Good -
- Oliver (5/5): Passable -
- Alexander (9/5): Superb - so far one of the best hostels I had on Palawan outside the room quite noisy because of the close by power plant, but this is nothing the hostel can do something about
- Lara (7/5): Too expensive for what you get! - The location was great! The offered food and drinks! The staff was very friendly!
We found the rooms, toilets and showers very clean and nice! As a couple backpacking we have nothing to complain about in terms of the facility! The wifi only works in the lobby, and the power went off multiple times so we almost never had access to wifi during our five day stay. We didn’t think it would annoy us, but the service in the area (in all of Palawan) is really bad, so 4G doesn’t work either. We recommend to book your next stay in advance of coming here!
Other than that, not much to complain about! If you’re ready for a phone detox it really ia a great hostel! Just very expensive!
- Jonna (10/5): I loved my stay - The hostel was modern and very clean, one of the cleanest hostels I have been to. There were plenty of toilets and showers and they were cleaned several times a day, never had to wait to use them either! The rooms are equipped with both ac and fan. For me the bed was comfortable as well. Hotel staff were super nice. Also before you make a reservation, know there are cats in the hostel! They are friendly and very cute, I loved them but I noticed not all guests were fond of them :( So don't go if you plan to be mean to the cats. Hostel had two power outages in the 6 days I was there, but that was the issue in all of El Nido, not just the hostel. Wifi could have been more stable.
- Matias (9/5): Works - It's a hostel and for the price don't expect luxury. It does its job and is fine. The neighbor has several roosters 🐓 that wake you up every morning.
- Monika (3/5): I would not repeat - The staff is very friendly and helpful.
It was close to the bus station and the beach. About 15 minutes walk to the centre.
It has a restaurant.
It has space to dry your clothes which was nice.
Instant coffee was provided free of charge. The towels provided are more of a blanket that doesn’t absorb water whatsoever.
There is a day and night noise from the electrical generators that are located in this area.
The water in the toilets wouldn’t flush very often (more often in girls toilet than the guys).
The curtain in the bunk bed doesn’t go all the way so you don’t have all the privacy that you’d expect the curtain to provide.
The temperature of the AC was set to ‘freezing’ so it was very cold but maybe I was a bit unlucky with my bunk mates here :(
The rooms are kind of booths you often find on the construction sites that are put on a building in this case. So the walls are not concrete but kid of plastic. When someone is walking in the room, absolutely everything is shaking. It feels as if an elephant is walking…it’s ok during the day, but at night you don’t rest at all.
The restaurant is a bit expensive especially for the breakfast, I feel that given the price of the night/bunk bed is very high, the guests should have a choice of affordable breakfast.
The water in the water dispenser had a choice of hot and cold but the cold water always came out warm, never cold.
I was unlucky and someone vomited the first night I was there, I feel the floor was never really cleaned properly during my stay there. It would be nice if the floor in the rooms was cleaned daily, also because you need to leave your shoes outside so having a clean floor is very important.
- Halliday (8/5): Very good - Comfortable bed. Rooms and bathrooms are a bit tired. Very noisy A/C and located next the noisy power station.
Expensive for what you get
- Heather (10/5): Exceptional - Great hostel that opened 6 months ago. Staff are amazing and very helpful, beds are comfortable and plenty of toilets and showers. Lovely experience
- Rebekka (9/5): Superb -
- Ali (5/5): Definately overrated - The location counts as "in-town" so the tours that offer in-town pickup will pick you up from the hostel. I honestly don't know what's up with all the positive reviews of this place.
- The bunk bed curtain only covers 2/3rds of the length of the bed, leaving the other 1/3rd wide open. So no privacy in the bed
- Lamp light from the top bunk bed reaches the bottom bunk bed
- Showers were semi-dirty, and each were missing something (hanger, body wash, heater not working, etc.) You could put 3 of the showers together to make a fully usable one
- The towels that they give don't dry much. Even my travel towel dries better than that
- Hand soaps, body washes, toilet papers etc. were often gone and not replenished fast enough.
That said, my stay was around the lunar new year so it was a busy time of the year
- Yvonne (8/5): would come back - - bed had curtains, light and all you need
- shower was roomie, but could be cleaner..
- great area to chill
- there was a super cute small cat, kinda fell in love <3 - could be cleaner
- Jordan (8/5): Very good -
- Teresa (8/5): Very good -
- Xiao (9/5): Superb - Staffs are helpful
- Jessica (10/5): Would recommend! - Staff was always helpful and friendly
- Maxime (9/5): Strongly recommend! - The staff is the nicest! Everybody is so helpful and friendly! Everything is SO clean, the beds are good, great location, great price, I strongly recommend it! The hostel is perfect but avoid booking tours here. Nothing is included, you can find the same price or cheaper with masks, kayaks, shoes, pick up and drop off included! I rented a scooter for 1 day from 3pm (so only 3 hours of daylight) and the owner (the store next door) didn’t give me any discount and had to pay for a full day and she is really not friendly… The hostel is great but avoid the companies they work with.
- Timmy (8/5): Very good - Staff was helpful, especially Kent was really nice and forthcoming. The price is reasonable. Honestly, it's not really a cool hostel vibe. You don't have a cool common area and, therefore, don't meet a lot of people there. The internet is mediocre.
- Michael (7/5): One night comfortable stay - Quiet and comfortable rooms with AC, own locker with key, lots of showers and bathrooms, helpful staff and scooter rental easy Wifi is bad in rooms, no storage for large bags, no locks on the bunk room doors
- מיכאל (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tzu-chun (10/5): Close to center and clean. You really get extra kindness and hospitality from the whole staff ! - I rarely write reviews. But I just wanted to thank the owners and staff who were super kind, helpful and accommdating ! I would just improve a little bit of the quality of bed sheets. But for the price you pay, it's ok.
- Joel (9/5): Superb - Nice and helpful staff, good common area, free amenities and possibility of booking tours/boat to coron/rent scooters at fair prices WiFi only works sometimes in the bedrooms, and although I appreciate the free towel it literally doesn't dry anything, are is chill to sleep but you'll always have to walk 10 minutes to the city if you want to eat at night
- Abdellah (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly staff, well organized, super clean. All in all 10/10.
- Hatim (8/5): Very good -
- Alfonso (8/5): Very good -
