Guest Reviews
- Carol (2/5): Disappointing - Description of accommodation was wrong. The room that I booked”separate bedroom, washing machine, oven villa on the beach” is not what I got. I got 1 room, no washing machine, no oven on 2nd story behind the one that was described on booking.com. Talked to manager and was told same description for both places because booking won’t let her do separate descriptions so i could go elsewhere you take the room 😩. Dog barking most early morning & a couple times at night. Beach chairs broken.
- martina (6/5): Great location but... - Amazing location. Very few people on the beach, grat snorkeling This is a review for the room upstairs, I think most of the other reviews are for the ocean front bungalow. This place is just run down. Needs major cleaning, furniture refresher, mosquito netting, coffee maker of any kind, knife that can cut...Everything just seems to be falling apart: the kayaks, loungers...
Carpet in tropical bungalow just doesn't work.
- Ellie (10/5): - The Lagoon View manages to get the best of both worlds - dreamy views through palm trees to the stunning lagoon waters as well as being elevated enough to catch the breeze and have your own private balcony (not that there's much foot traffic on the beach - we had the whole stretch to ourselves plenty of times). Michelle (and 3 legged Missy) are very friendly and accommodating, and while the studio set up in the villa is simple and a bit dated, the location means you're close to everything you need as well as feeling like you have your own secret spot to come home to after exploring the island.
The starlink wifi was pretty stable and reliable during our stay (good weather) and while we didn't do much cooking (so many great dining options in Rarotonga!), there was enough room and equipment for 2 people to prepare simple meals easily. No air con and low water pressure were noticable in the hot hot summer season (no rain = no water in the tanks) but the ceiling fan does a solid job in the evenings and you can always flop into the ocean to cool down - lots of sandy spots even in low tide suitable for a dip right out front.
The location is super quiet and tucked down a private driveway opposite Titikaveka College, and the new supermarket/petrol station across the road has all the essentials and is open late.
If you're after a low-key, good value beachfront option on one of the best snorkelling and scenic beaches on the island - this is a great option.
- Caroline (10/5): Paradise - Loved the absolute beachfront location. It was very peaceful and private. Lovely rustic villa, spacious and had everything we needed. Wonderful having the use of kayaks. Great range of reading material too.
- Leo (10/5): - Great spot, the beach is right there and a supermarket across the road. Wonderful all round.
Michelle the host was very gracious and helpful in every way.
Would stay there again when I go back
- Lance (10/5): Perfect! - Michelle (the host) was great, met us on arrival, was always available for any questions, even gave us a gift before we left. Couldn't ask for more. The location was fabulous, on the beach, great snorkeling and having a great supermarket just across the road was so convenient.
- Ingrid (8/5): - Great location. Views. Snorkeling. Quiet. Could have been cleaner.
- Murray (10/5): Exceptional - Kia orana, Te Rito Villa is a stunning piece of paradise. You counldn't be any close to the beach. The view and sounds of Rarotonga at you back door. Host Michelle is so helpful and always wanting to help out. Will definitely book the villa again. Meitaki Murray and Sharon Hawkins
- Jeffrey (9/5): Superb -
- Annie (10/5): Exceptional - The view was beautiful Nothing at all everything was just perfect
