• Evan (9/5): Oceanside social hostel, great for surfers - The staff was friendly, helpful, and diligent. The front area of the hostel is a great place to hang out, and also prepare for surf sessions in the yoga area. My dorm room had a view of the ocean, which allowed me to check the waves in the morning. They also led some nice events. More hammocks! Not sure where, but somewhere.

• Elke (5/5): - Die Aussicht auf den Surfstrand vom Zimmer aus. Dusche ging nicht. Nur die auf anderen Etage .Toilette ging die Spülung nur unzureichend. Zimmer und sonstige Einrichtung stark verschmutzt. Zur Verfügung g gestelltes Handtuch schmutzig. Karten Zahlung war nicht möglich.
• Valentin (10/5): - Expérience incroyable à PointBreak Surf Camp ! Ambiance super conviviale, on se sent comme à la maison dès l’arrivée. Les cours sont top, bien expliqués et adaptés à tous les niveaux. On progresse vite et on s’amuse énormément! Matériel inclus, super énergie, couchers de soleil magnifiques… Impossible de ne pas aimer. Si vous êtes à Huanchaco, foncez les yeux fermés 🤙

• Valérie (10/5): Super - Nous avons adoré notre séjour, l’emplacement est super, au calme et juste en face de la plage. Cuisine propre et bien équipée, douches avec eau chaude et l’ambiance avec les autres voyageurs était géniale.
• Rahel (8/5): - Wir hatten das Doppelzimmer mit Meerblick, wunderschön und geräumig. Die Lage ist perfekt, 2 Min zum Strand und an etwas ruhigerer Lage. Man kann Surfbretter und Surflektionen direkt vor Ort beziehen. Der Gemeinschaftsbereich ist unter freiem Himmel, hat einige Tische zum draussen Essen und verweilen. An Silvester gab es eine tolle Party mit allen Gästen! Es hat nur zwei Badezimmer. Die Spühlung in Badezimmer oberer Stock funktionierte nicht gut. Dadurch war es häufig dreckig. Das Wc-papier wurde zu wenig nachgewechselt. Die Küche war für die Anzahl Menschen im Hostel etwas spärlich ausgerüstet, wenig Teller, Tassen, Besteck. Es ist ein tolles und preiswertes Hostel. Mit ein wenig mehr Liebe und Zuneigung wäre es perfekt!

• Jordan (9/5): - L'hôstel est tout près du centre de huanchaco et situé juste en face de l'océan, vous pouvez y louer votre planche de surf et votre combie a bon prix et partir direct à l'eau! Le personnel est vraiment cool, l'endroit est propre et la literie est confortable! Je recommande a 100%!!
• Igor (6/5): - O quarto era ok, a cama era confortável e a localização é muito boa. Vale a pena apenas por ser barato. O lugar não tem áreas comuns dentro do hostel, o que torna difícil pra trabalhar, os banheiros não estavam bem cuidados e algumas vezes não estavam limpos, apenas uma das pessoas do staff parecia ser simpática, os demais não muito, o que parecia estranho por ser um hostel. o lugar parece mais bonito nas fotos do que pessoalmente.

• Mark (10/5): Great staff and vibe - The staff and vibe of the hostel are fantastic. I would highly recommend staying here if you want a brilliant surf experience. It really was brilliant value for money but it was the people that made it a great place to create memories.

• Emma (3/5): Not the best experience in terms of cleanliness and only one shower has hot water, and the staff not great - It was a good location The staff were not great. It took a couple days to get me a key, only one bathroom had hot water, the facilities were not that nice, and just overall not a great experience. It was grimy and the facilities did not work well.
• Tija (10/5): The best surf camp I’ve ever been to! - I came to Pointbreak Surf Camp without knowing exactly what to expect, and honestly… it was amazing! The vibe here is incredible, everyone is super friendly, and you instantly feel at home. The surf lessons are top-notch. The instructors are really patient and give personalized advice, which makes a huge difference. Even as a beginner, I was able to catch my first real waves within the first few days! The spot is perfect for learning and improving, and the equipment is great. Beyond surfing, the place is just magical. A big house right in front of the ocean, chill spaces to relax, breathtaking sunsets… And most importantly, the people. If you’re looking for a place to learn, progress, and have an unforgettable experience, don’t think twice just go!!

• Emma (4/5): Not the best hostel for the price because of the hot water situation. - I like that it was close to the beach and close to public transportation The owners did not give me my change they owed me for the room for two days. Only one bathroom with hot water. Not the cleanest facilities.
• Romy (10/5): An Unforgettable Surf Experience in Huanchaco! - My stay at Pointbreak was absolutely incredible! The surf camp is perfectly located, right in front of the best surf spot in Huanchaco. The surf lessons were amazing, even for beginners like me. The instructors are patient, encouraging, and very professional, especially Joan, nacional champion. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, perfect for meeting people from all over the world. The rooms are comfortable and well-maintained, and some offer stunning ocean views. The large patio and yoga space are a great bonus for relaxing after a session in the waves. On top of that, the team is super welcoming and offers great advice to explore Huanchaco and the surrounding area. It’s a little slice of paradise where I felt completely at home. I’ll definitely be back!

The walls of the rooms are super thin, the sheets and towels not the freshest. There was no water for some time, no toilet paper provided and the whole hostel seems very run down.

They have Boards for rent, wax and things if you need to buy, the Huancacho has parties and nice movement in the neighbors, it's good place to start go your surftrip in North Peru.

The location is unbeatable, right in front of the beach, perfect for surf lovers. The facilities are very clean with daily housekeeping. I took surf lessons during my stay, and they were excellent. The instructors are very professional and patient. The overall space is super cozy and ideal for relaxing. I will definitely come back!

• Sandra (10/5): The best surf camp I've been to - I loved my stay at the Pointbreak surf camp! I was able to take surfing lessons every day and easily rent boards. The atmosphere and staff are amazing, the kitchen is very well equipped, and the sea view is simply breathtaking. The camp is perfectly located right in front of the ocean, making the experience even more magical. I highly recommend it!

• Georgia (8/5): Very good - Epic spot, could check the surf from our bedroom window. Amazing location across the road from the water, and a short walk to all the spots to eat. Staff were super friendly and always smiling. Hostel had a nice laid back vibe, all other travelers were friendly and easy to get to know others in the common area. Price was great and very affordable. Ended up extending our stay for a few extra nights which was easy to do. The hostel is a little run down, could do with a bit of a spruce up. I did notice them cleaning every day, however the facilities such as the bathroom got dirty quickly with so many people using them. Our bed in the private room was not very comfortable.

• Connor (9/5): I was pleasantly surprised by my stay here. - The staff made the ambience great and they let me do a late check out super easily so that I could go hiking. Great chilling areas in the courtyard and board rentals at the hostel. Bathrooms could be a bit cleaner, but the water was hot.

• Franka (10/5): Wonderful and chill stay at Pointbreak! - The hostel has a very chill and homey vibe. Johan and Audrey are really great and they make you feel at home. The place had more a feeling of staying in a house with friends then being a guest. Probably also because a lot of people stayed there for at least a week. The surfboard renting was good and it was super easy to get a lesson from Johan! I really recommend for people who want to stay a bit longer and practice their surfskills or just chill. I wish I could go back! I didn’t mind, but they were still renovating the hostal a bit during my stay. But it really didn't weigh up to the price and the hospitality of the hostal.
• Karim (10/5): Perfect for surfers and peers - Amazing vibe in the hostel, somehow it attracts the perfect mixture of people. Most importantly, it's right in front of the surfspot. Audrey and Joan make sure you feel welcome and will help you with anything you need. One of the dorms has a seaview from the beds if you turn the pillow, I've never had that in a dorm before. You can hear the sound of the ocean to fall asleep.
• Gregory (9/5): Superb - Absolutely wonderful place to stay, relax and surf. Audrey, Johan and Cesar were so lovely and always had good energy that made the place feel like a home. Would definitely reccomend to everyone, those looking to surf, chill, party or just a place to stay.

The staff is super friendly and creates a great atmosphere where you feel at home immediately! Surfboards can be rented for cheap the whole day. The bathrooms could be a bit cleaner/ be cleaned maybe twice a day

• Monika (9/5): Superb - we had a private room which was very spaceous and had a perfect view on the ocean you can rent surf gear there, or directly take really good surf lessons at the hostel, which was super convenient the bathrooms are not always functioning well
• Mae (9/5): A very nice small hostel with a chill, community vibe. - The location was amazing - right in front of one of the best breaks, although the street traffic could be a little noisy when trying to sleep, the view from my bedroom was gorgeous, plus it's really close to downtown without having to hear the nightlife music. The pool, kitchen and bathrooms were all clean and there was even hot water for after the surf. The hostel is small and so you really get to connect with everyone staying there. The staff were always around and really friendly. I loved my stay. There wasn't a huge selection of surfboards to chose from but many places nearby if you wanted to rent from a different selection. And the traffic was a bit bothersome but a price to be paid when living so close to the beach.

• Anonymous (9/5): Best hostel of my trip so far because of the hosts ans the people it attracts! - The atmosphere at this hostel was really special! The family who run it make it like feel like a home. They are super welcoming and it was easy to mix the the few other backpackers there due to its size. Jon can do surf lessons with you - he was a great teacher! The kitchen is well equipped so we made breakfast together every night which was really special. Chill vibes here, it’s know for having parties but we didn’t have any in my time there which suited me.
• Michelle (8/5): Home away from home - This was like a home from home, such a nice vibe. The owners were so lovely and welcoming. The dogs were amazing and chill. The place was really clean. The bathrooms and some of the furniture needed replacing/updating, and sometimes there was no water for showers or toilets. However, the owners are doing a lot of upgrades now that business is back after covid so it’s only a matter of time before these are resolved. And it’s such a nice place you can live with it!

The hostel cleaned every morning, there is common space to relax and the kitchen is good enough. The quality of the showers is not that good but there is warm water in at least 1 of them. Overall its a nice place especially for the price. Every Thursday night they organize a salsa night
