Vuode oli muhkea ja hyvä nukkua, pienessä keittiössä olisi voinut kokkailla ja kauniista kylpyhuoneesta löytyi myös pyykinpesukone. Kaikki oli tiptop - puhdasta. Suloinen yllätys oli myös erilaiset pikkukeksit ja hedelmät saapuessamme majapaikkaan. Ystävällinen rouva otti meidät iloisena vastaan, vaikka saapumisemme meni myöhäiseen lennon myöhästymisen takia. Alue vaikutti hyvin rauhalliselta. Olisimme halunneet tutustua majapaikan kauniiseen puutarhaan, mutta valitettavasti meidän piti kiirehtiä jatkolennolle jo heti aamusta. Majoitusaikamme jäi liian lyhyeen.

• Herman (8/5): Voor herhaling vatbaar. - Behulpzaamheid van de eigenaren. Kregen een schaal bosbessen uit eigen tuin aangeboden. In de kamer was aanwezig: appels, bananen, diverse versnaperingen, koffie, thee, flesjes water. Prima koelkast zonder lawaai. Was/droog machine. Schitterende, heel goed onderhouden, tuin waar we mochten relaxen. Ingang en enig raam(pje) aan smal gangetje. En zicht op een enorme grijze muur op +/- 2 meter tegenover het raam. Gezien het enorme huis, viel de grootte van de kamer erg tegen.

It is a really beautiful house in a lovely area, relatively close to the airport.The owner/host was really lovely (we didn't speak much due to language barrier however you could feel the hospitality and kindness). There were lovely touches in the room, such as chocolates etc. and the host brought us some fresh fruit when we arrived.The room was very clean and well presented. We had access to our own kitchen and a shared bathroom, both of which were very clean and nice. We had our own entrance directly on to the garden. Nothing.

• Victor (10/5): Wonderful stay in the best appointed B&B we’ve encountered. - The room was thoughtfully appointed. While we didn’t stay long enough to cook meals the kitchen was very well laid out and we will take advantage next time we’re there (four burner gas cooktop, rice cooker; microwave; kettle; lots of cookware and utensils). Excellent shower; lovely complimentary toiletries; very comfortable bed. The backyard is absolutely beautiful and guests are welcome to sit and take it all in. Don’t miss this feature. The fresh blueberries and cherries were an unexpected but very welcome treat. Nothing negative to say here.

• MLP (4/5): Cannot in good conscience recommend this location/option for use. - No breakfast was offered tho offered us some berries from garden(?) Offering was less than the usual amenities we have had at all previous places where we stayed. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and one us even woke up with a backache from the uncomfortable sleeping area. No tv in our area, which was a first on that usually provided amenity from the many places we have previously stayed. There were no plugs available/even accessible for charging our devices in our area. No wash clothes available to use. Just overall a lot less comfort and amenities we have at any other of the many places we have stayed before this incident. And the WiFi was extremely spotty as well, basically useless in any way.

• Claire (6/5): Niet aan te raden. - Alle faciliteiten waren aanwezig en het was in een leuke wijk (wel ver van Vancouver, zonder auto kom je hier niet). Ook was het heel schoon. De straal die uit de douche kwam was heel zacht, dus om shampoo uit je lange haren te wassen was niet te doen. Ook was het erg gehorig. Maar het ergste was de eerste nacht. Wij waren op tijd gaan slapen vanwege de jetleg, maar om 22:00 (wat een absurde tijd is om nog te storen) werd er meermaals hard op de deur geklopt door de mannelijke eigenaar. Ik schrok er wakker van en dacht dat er iets ergs aan de hand was, wat niet was. Daarna hebben we lang niet kunnen slapen omdat er hard met de buurvrouw buiten voor onze deur werd gepraat. Dit vonden we dus heel onvriendelijk en zouden het niet aanraden, want we waren elke nacht weer bang dat hij zo zou aankloppen.

• Carole (5/5): - The room was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and quiet; I had a good night's sleep. I didn't miss having a TV. The hostess Emily was cheerful and friendly. When I arrived at the home, and rang the doorbell, a young boy came to the door - he seemed surprised that I was there. A man came to the door and seemed confused and a little annoyed that I was there, even though I said I had a reservation. I felt quite unwelcome. The man phoned Emily, who took over and made me feel welcome. The shared bathroom was inconvenient - in the morning the door either jammed or the other people forgot to unlock it, so I was unable to use it. I gave up and checked out. I would not rent a room with a shared bathroom again.

• Monika (9/5): Es war ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt und ich habe es wirklich genossen. - Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hat mir sogar Blaubeeren angeboten. Das ganze Haus sorgte für eine wohlige Atmosphäre und war demnach sehr einladend. Das Bett in welchem ich schlief war sehr bequem. Als ich auschecken wollte, konnte ich die nette Dame vom Vortag nicht mehr finden und musste mich an den lieben Herr wenden. Vielleicht wäre es gut gewesen, wenn die Gastgeber ein bisschen besser englisch gekonnt hätten (es hat auch so funktioniert, aber war komplizierter).

• jennifer (9/5): Inexpensive rm on the 2nd fl of a home offered all the amenities + comfort that one could want. - The owner and family gave me a helpful orientation upon arrival. The location was fairly quiet and the neighborhood felt safe. It was 15 min from the airport. I'm always suspicious when there is a heavy fabreeze odor, which at first caused my eyes to water. Didnt know that I would be sharing an adjoining bathroom, but it worked out OK. I love cats and have no allergies. Not sure if the ad shared the info regarding their cats--they have 6. I only saw one. Highly allergic folks would have difficulty with this. Like most typical BC homes, there wasn't a/c, however a floor fan with the window left open did the trick.

• Debra (8/5): - Thoughtful and welcoming hosts who carried my suitcase up the stairs; who provided small treats and products to assist with my comfortable stay. The bowl of blueberries offered to me on the second day was enjoyed. The property is very clean and well equipped. The hosts invited me to use their lovely garden. The location wasn't great for me personally. I had no walkable access to a location to find my preferred food, I should have done more research on that. Might better suit people who have a car. I expected some noise as it was a Saturday, there were other guests and it is a family home/neighbourhood. Unfortunately, I arrived sleep deprived from an international flight on a very social night where there was a lot of shouting until late from both inside the house and outside. The second night was so much better though.
• SungUk (10/5): - Absolutely nice guest house to stay! A warm, kind host welcomed us with delicious blueberries, ushered us into a tidy, well-organized room. The house was ornamented with various plants and pianos, and sort of soothing music was played during the daytime. 6 lovely cats were exploring the house, making the house even more loving to stay:) A garden in the backyard where we often had meal was beautiful, and the host gave us delicious dairy products! Guests can also use the laundry facilities complimentarily. Unless you are hypersensitive to cat fur, the sweet home might be one of the greatest choices for your travel!

• Mary (9/5): I'm still shocked at how expensive a 1 night stay in a family home in Richmond is! I have had suite. - No breakfast, we left at 3:45 am for an early flight We were given a wonderful greeting by Annie and her 2 sons, who carried out luggage up to the room. Later, one son brought us a plate of Chinese fruit. Slippers were offered at front door. The guesthouse is like a cultural museum, absolutely full of beautiful, tasteful Chinese decor, furniture and collectibles. The 6 cats are gorgeous and friendly. We felt most welcome. The room was very hot, and though a fan was provided, it was too warm for a comfortable sleep. Also the right side of the mattress (when facing it from the foot) slants sideways, so I kept rolling to the edge. Odd, because the bed was so comfortable otherwise.

• Shaaron (1/5): Not what we were expecting so extremely disappointing. We had to pay again for another hotel. - Disliked · No air-conditioning, when that was assured by you. Also no T.V. My son is allergic to cats and there were many, so he was sneezing and coughing constantly. There was cat's urine smells too. My son's bedroom shared a bathroom/toilet with another person with an inter-joining door - the other person sharing the bathroom with my son locked his door (on his side) and either left the premises or was asleep? - therefore my son couldn't get into the interjoining bathroom. There were so many ornaments on various tops so no room to put any of our own personal belongings on, the kitchen wasn't very clean - because of all of the above we only stayed one night, then had to move on to another accommodation and obviously pay again.

• Rachel (10/5): Um local perfeito para relaxar - O quarto é muito bem equipado, o banheiro tem tudo que uma pessoa pode precisar, todo o ambiente é impecavelmente limpo. A decoração é peculiar e de extremo bom gosto, me senti em casa, a roupa de cama era de excelente qualidade, me senti abraçada pela cama na hora de dormir. O quarto ten uma chaleira, canecas e chá com biscoitos. Na casa há um lindíssimo jardim nos fundos e muitos gatinhos simpáticos. Não há ruídos à noite, somente pela manhã que os pássaros cantam. Uma noite perfeita para descansar num local tranquilo e num ambiente familiar. Não gostei de ir embora porque o lugar é perfeito.
