Guest Reviews

- Wouter Niels (10/5): - Goede locatie!
- Ganesh (7/5): A good choice for budget stay in Ollantaytambo - The owners are gem of a heart. Even though they don't speak fluent English, they helped me a lot. They even lent me money to go to Pisac as I was in short of cash and as there is no Banque de la Nation ATM in Olly. Also gave suggestions to how to navigate via Collectivo.
Also the entrance and the garden is beautiful You'll see many reviews from cat lovers, but mind that even cat hair and bowls are lying around.
The rooms can be better (but won't complain coz of the price), and the beds can be definitely better as it had cat hair in it and it triggered allergies to my partner.
WiFi range is poor

- Maximilian (10/5): - Clean, cozy little hotel in the old town of Ollantaytambo with the friendliest owners. Great breakfast, good facilities with lots of hot water, and comfortable beds. Really appreciated our stay there and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to travellers passing through or staying a few days in the Sacred Valley!
- Rhianna (6/5): - Property was in a great location
Bedroom had everything you needed and lots of blankets
Garden was cute
Hosts were nice people, they offered us tea
Place was nice wish there was a communal area but more of a home stay vibe Bad smell in the bathroom
Water in the shower wasn’t warm
Personal opinion, the entire place smelt quite bad but I’m quite sensitive to smells: almost like a farm meaning I had to wash all of my clothes when I got back to Cusco
Light through the window kept us awake
Miglior colazione in Perù!
- Hilde (10/5): - Breakfast - eggs of choice and bread and jam, coffee, juice.
Stored our bag for us.
Has a restaurant as part of it Low doorways so hit head couple of times.
Is a rustic building and could hear neighbors from upstairs.
- Mary (10/5): Great Stay with a Wonderful Family - The family is very nice and I loved all of their animals. I'm traveling alone and they really looked out for me. Good, simple breakfast with eggs, bread, fruit and coffee or tea. Really appreciated their hospitality The internet didn't work well ... It might have just needed to be restarted, honestly, I never asked.
- Molly (10/5): Great value in a beautiful setting - Great location, comfortable, good breakfast
- Sean (8/5): Good spot in Ollantaytambo - Great spot in Ollantaytambo to form a base camp for a couple nights to Connections the train to Machu Picchu and also some of the other inca sites in the town. 15 minute walk to the train and even walked early around 4:30am to catch the first train with no issues. The homestay is connected to a restaurant which was convenient and tasty. Breakfast is included as well and the elder couple that runs it are very sweet. Rooms are a bit small and there's not a ton of hang out space outside of the rooms.
Parfait. Encore Muchas Gracias !
- Verena (6/5): - Sehr nette Gastgeber, super Lage, absolut ruhig. Sehr einfach, Lichtschalter funktionieren teils nicht, schimmeliger Badvorhang, rudimentäres Frühstück (z.B. keine Milch für Kaffee vorhanden). Aber für den Preis ok.
- Vanya (10/5): - The family that runs this place is very kind and helpful. Breakfast is really good. Enough blankets are provided in the room.
- Lisa (10/5): Charming hotel in a charming town - This is a place with real rustic charm, but more importantly it was spotlessly clean, with a comfortable bed and a good hot shower, in a lovely quiet spot a couple of minutes' walk from the main square. The breakfast was simple but freshly-made (no buffet sitting out for hours here!), and the owners were so kind and friendly, they made our stay excellent.
- Danuta (10/5): Skromny ale urokliwy - Cudowny personel Nic
- Sarah (9/5): Quaint little stay in Ollantaytambo- would recommend ! - The hosts were so friendly and made us a delicious breakfast. The beds were comfy and the room was clean. Location was close to the plaza. A little bit of noise from roosters in the morning. Was a bit hard to find as you have to go in the restaurant to find it.
- Angela (10/5): - Mágico lugar Todo perfecto no
- Marco (6/5): -
- Jennifer (10/5): Impeccable - Hospedaje K'uchuwasi is run by an extremely kind family. The beds are so comfortable, there was solid hot water, great wifi, and everything was very clean. It's off the center of town, so it is quiet but still a comfortable walking distance to town (like 5 minutes, super close). The breakfast was great and the juice was squeezed fresh. The property itself is gorgeous. Personally, one my favorite parts were the animals on property. They have guinea pigs on the other end of the property away from the rooms that you can feed. They also have two lovely cats and a dog. If you're allergic or afraid of animals, I wouldn't worry either, you won't spot them unless you seek them, which I frequently did. Honestly, to me, this place was perfect and had we been staying in Peru longer, we would have easily extended our stay. This was literally my favorite place of stay during our travels in Peru.
- Judy (7/5): Good location in a family run but tired home. - Location. Staff. Breakfast. Smelly bathroom close to the bed.
- Difei (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful garden, very helpful staff, tranquillity.
- Alanah (10/5): Exceptional - My favourite place that we stayed in Peru. A lovely family with a guinea pig house (we also tasted guinea pig for the first time here). You can't drive down the old inca streets so pack light! From the breakfast space you could see two lots of ruins 😍
- Octavia (8/5): Kind owners, feels like a home stay - Rustic property almost like a home stay. The owners are the kindest people and were so accommodating when we booked last minute The space is a little tight so that you can hear neighbors, roosters. Nice breakfast served in the outdoor terrace. A little jumbled and rustic.
- Anonymous (8/5): Cool vibey spot in Ollantaytambo - Wonderful vibe, great location, comfy beds and shower, delightful hosts! Sr. Andres goes out of his way to make you feel so welcome, we would return!
- Judith (8/5): Very good -
- Marc (10/5): Cosy hotel, super friendly and helpful owners - Cosy hotel and cosy room in the old town. Super friendly and helpful owners. Good breakfast and very good lunch and dinner in the garden; full of flowers. Comfortable room; thanks to wooden floor and rugs not so cold at night.
- Smriti (9/5): Cozy stay in Ollantaytambo - Very very close to the city centre, this is such a beautiful home stay, run by a couple. The stay was very close to all the hiking spots in Ollantaytambo. The breakfast was delicious especially the banana pancake. The room was small.
- Urša (10/5): Exceptional - A really charming hospedaje with delicious breakfast.
- Jill (6/5): Cabin in Ollantaytambo! - The family who run this hotel are very friendly. Note, they do not speak English so study your Spanish! The breakfast was wonderful and we enjoyed it on their beautiful outdoor terrace. The price is very affordable. This B&B is significantly more rustic than I was expecting. It's basically a cabin. No heat and a rustic bathroom.
One of our beds was dirty.
- Anja (8/5): The family who run the hostal are wonderful and go out of their way to help you. - The property is tucked away in one of the beautiful cobbled lanes and has a gorgeously lush garden with hummingbirds, where we had a lovely breakfast with freshly made fried eggs. The coffee is great too. Our room was on the ground floor and it was very dark and small. The bathroom was tiny and there is no ventilation. The rooms upstairs are much nicer and lighter.
- Dylan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Menegoz (10/5): i love my stay in the Hotel, really friendly people and peacefull place -
- Egle (9/5): wonderful family-run b&b - super kind hosts, lovely backyard, central location the breakfast was very small
guineapig restaurant downstairs
- Siem (9/5): Great hosts, location, bed & breakfast! - Great location, hosts were very cute and friendly, breakfast wad great including the best hostel coffee I have had in Peru. Comfortable beds, would recommend. Not much too improve, maybe wear earplugs and a mask if you don’t want the roof window and rooster to wake you up at six!
- Heidi (9/5): Superb - Exactly the kind of place you want to stay at in Ollantaytambo! The hostel is sweet and quiet, the couple who run it are lovely and the room was great! Highly recommend staying here. Nothing.
- Karen (8/5): Comfortable stay with a lovely family - Felt like a friendly home stay, the family were lovely and served a delicious breakfast. When leaving early for Machu Picchu they even got up early and gave us a substantial breakfast to take away. Room a little crowded
- Quynh-tram (10/5): Thank you host Don Andres! - Don Andres and his wife were very kind to us. What touched us deeply was his (1) generosity to allow us to stay in a better room after we could not come the first night due to our altitude sickness in Cusco, and (2) willingness to lead us toward the train station the early morning when we left Ollantaytambo. None.
- Richard (9/5): Friendly, great food, beautiful location, low-key. - Lovely friendly family running this slightly rambling but totally charming hospedaje. The breakfast food is all locally produced or from the property. The Casa de Cuys is worth a visit itself! And the location with mountain views, cobbled streets and their garden are fantastic. Hot water showers, wifi and not expensive. Perfect backpacker hotel. Room 3 could do with a sewer pipe vent extension and a u-bend on the shower :-)
- Mark (7/5): Nice place with a sweet family to stay before you go to machu picchu - The hotel is runned by a very sweet family. We could store our big bags with them when we got to machu picchu, because you cant take big bags on the train. Also they do give a nice and fresh breakfast and there is a beautiful garden where the guests can sit and eat. The beds are small but comfy The rooms are really small, the bathroom had open connection with the rest of the room, so there is no privacy. For us as a couple not a big issue. The rooms are really noisy so we woke of the people above us walking and talking. Overall a nice place to stay but a bit pricy for what you get, but cheap in comparison to aguas calientes.
