Guest Reviews
- Eubank (1/5): Not pleasant - Reception Only one bath towel and one hand towel for two people.
Shower head and shower was dirty
Walls was dirty
- Malick (3/5): - The area is ok Is too noisy to be honest
- MICHAEL (9/5): comfortable overnight stay in quirky decor. safe parking off road good quiet night sleep - welcomed on arrival and taken to our room which was clean an tidy asked what we wanted for breakfast and at what time
- Kelly (6/5): Great for the location we needed. - Good location for my daughter iGCSE A sheet for a cover which was okay for the time of the year (May). Shower didn’t have good pressure could never wash long hair in it
- Didier (8/5): -
- Jean Thierry (7/5): - Hotel assez sympa pour dormir. Personnel gentil. Parking pas assez grand pour tous, mais il y a de la place dans les rues autour.
- Kweku (10/5): -
- Becky (5/5): The shower was a disaster. - Location The shower was a disaster. Water pressure and heat build up was dreadful. If someone elsewhere was showering there was no water pressure. The connection to the shower head was loose, so water wasn’t coming through it properly. Calcium build up in the shower head also stopped water. The plastic cover to the drainage wasn’t fitted properly. Having a working shower is a realistic expectation at a hotel, and that wasn’t fit for purpose.
- Romario (10/5): -
- David (8/5): Enjoyed my time in Bromley - Hotel is in a nice quiet leafy area, about 10 minutes walk from the train station. Room was basic, but perfectly adequate for our needs.
- Daniel (10/5): -
- Patrick (8/5): -
- Fabian (5/5): - Other guests making loud noises during unsociable ours.
- Rowley (7/5): -
- Pinky Angelina (6/5): Good - Location Hear others from their room
- Adele (2/5): - Room was so unclean with spills on the carpet, leaking fridge, dirty furniture and the room had a strong odour. Not worth the money
- Lydia (5/5): -
- Amy (4/5): Disappointed - Location Room smelt of cigarettes
Broken bin
Broken fan
Broken cot
Room very tired and dated not like photos
- gabrielius (4/5): - Shower was awful making squeaky sound
A whole little look very cheap done up
- Farhad (5/5): No Duvet, no proper heater at night the rest is good. - Easy to check in and the staff were very friendly. In winter the heater was off at night and there is no duvet in the rooms. I was on the 3rd floor and the shower pressure is extremely slow.
- Sharon (8/5): Lovely hotel, short walk to train, cosy and warm - Hotel was lovely and warm
Free parking onsite There is no bar open
- Semiu (6/5): -
- Sharon (3/5): -
- Kaye (8/5): Functional and suitable - No breakfast sadly which was a shame. Beds were comfy. No breakfast available
- ronnie (1/5): - nothing much Place smelt of curry and B O showers did not function properly TV did not work room was not clean no towels in rom
- Deborah (8/5): Great for an overnight stay - Good location and friendly staff No plugs near bed
- Ayopo (9/5): -
- Rhys (4/5): -
- Lynn-Marie (8/5): - The location was good the room was nice and clean the staff were very friendly and approachable. I dont think it was worth the amount I paid due to the fact the room door had a massive gap at the bottom, and didnt fit the frame properly that is my only complaint.
- aaron (1/5): Worst hotel I've stopped in!! - Unfortunately nothing had a real bad experience with this hotel Where do I start
*Room smelt of cigarettes
*Furniture was very dated
*No towels in room
*Lights wouldnt work & kept switching off
*Room wasnt cleaned properly dust everywhere
*Bed sheet was thin
*Homeless guy was sitting by our window that we had to draw our curtains to our already dark room
*Orderd food to come to the hotel, which I informed the receptionist to alert me once the food is here which they never,so didn't receive my food order
Me and my partner checked out early tdue to all these poor conditions.and had to stay somewhere else
- Adrià Companys (8/5): Hotel confortable a les afores de Londres - Una casa confortable, en un barri molt tranquil. A deu minuts caminant del tren que et porta a Grove Park i des d'aquí a London Bridge.
Possibilitat d'esmorzar. L'únic, els matalassos. Eren de molles. Estem acostumats a llits més durs
- Lee (10/5): - The bathroom was really good the room was spacious bed warms really comfortable
- Patrick (7/5): -
- Rhys (6/5): - Could’ve used a room with a room with a fridge and freezer
- Adegbite (9/5): - It's clean and has all the amenities you need Nothing
- lak (5/5): -
- Alison (8/5): Very comfortable and will return - Nice room. Clean and comfortable - nice touches in room. Mini kitchen but we didn’t use it. Nice and warm. Staff very helpful - morning staff cooked breakfast and answered bell too! Water pressure a bit low but we were on second floor so had to give it a minute to warm up and come through. Otherwise nothing bad to say.
- Oluwaseun (2/5): - The hotel did not meet my expectations at all The value of my money was not met, common toothpaste could not get
- Adi (7/5): -
- Lloyd (8/5): - Friendly helpful staff
Useful kitchen items in room
Location Got what I was expecting so nothing
- Makorovodo (10/5): -
- Vishwas (8/5): -
- Sam (8/5): Was ok for what we wanted it for - Lovely room and very quiet location. Clean and cosy and friendly staff. Don’t like they were running some sort of SIA course outside our window at the back and doing one to one interviews right outside the room so didn’t feel very private. Also said on booking that a bottle of wine was included in price when I asked I was given a single serve bottle for me and my husband to share. Not the best value for money if I’m honest
- Paul (8/5): -
- Stephen (7/5): Expensive for what it is! - Near town centre Had to ask for towels. Not asked on check in if I wanted breakfast so could not have the following morning! Light above bed on right hand side bulb not working. Noise from train line at the back.
- Douglas (9/5): -
- David (3/5): Hotel of last resort - It was in a close locatioon to Bromley The price for the quality was very high. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, there was only a throw and no duvet.
- Christina (10/5): -
- Grzegorz (10/5): -
- Marion (2/5): - Nothing, we arrived, and they did not expect us . The room was not clean, gave us the wrong key initially to the room, so we could not get in. Once in the room, the window, too the bedroom would not close, so instructed he instructed a staff member to push from the outside to close the window. To be more professional, clean room including the bedlinens, bin in room.
- Vishwas (7/5): - Centrally located, clean, functional
- Ambrose (8/5): -
- Rosemary (8/5): Good stay in accessible room - Good location - accessible room. Freshly cooked breakfast Nothing
- Alex (6/5): - Nice place
- Joanne (10/5): - Very comfortable stay whilst visiting family nearby.
- Mandy (8/5): - Staff nice 👍 Lumpy bed and on top floor
- Sarah (5/5): Wouldn’t choose to stay again - The location Very basic
- Nqobizitha (10/5): -
- Ashfaq (7/5): -
- Christina (9/5): A pleasant place to stay! - I have stayed here several times now when I’m visiting a friend in the area. I really like the hotel, it’s clean, has everything I need and the staff are always very nice. I even had a suitcase which was meant to arrive during my stay, turn up late and they kindly stored it for me for three weeks until I returned. I will continue to stay here when I stay in Bromley
- Michelle (2/5): An insecure and embarrassing stay with no apology or compensation for the incident and lack of sleep - It was a cheap stay and if you don’t mind dated decor and a very basic small power shower and faded towels, it’s actually not a bad deal. It was very clean, including towels and bedding. Easy to find. Despite the smart keypad on the room doors, we were WALKED IN ON BY OTHER GUESTS AT 2.30am WHILST ASLEEP!!! Either all the rooms had the same code on the keypads which was a VERY easy number to remember, or the staff messed up and double booked the room, but either way, it meant we didn’t trust the system. So after being woken, we then couldn’t get back to sleep properly, worrying if it might happen again, and we generally didn’t feel safe. Upon checkout and voicing our thoughts on what happened, the staff member couldn’t even provide an apology.
- Matt (8/5): -
- Matt (8/5): -
- Stephen (10/5): -
- Nathan (7/5): -
- Michael (8/5): - Made to feel welcome. Room was clean, small, but not cramped. Nothing that owners can improve, so very happy on the whole.
- Pamela (8/5): - I have stayed here before, I like the convenience of the location. The staff are helpful, the room has tea and coffee making facilities, microwave, the room I had this time also had a fridge. The bed was made most days, and bins emptied.
- Helen (1/5): The worst hotel I have ever stayed in - Never had breakfast because nobody made us aware that we had to order the night before . The receptionist that morning was very nice and apologised for this . We also logged the issues with her . The rooms were dirty and smelt . The carpets stained and black mould on the inside and outside of the shower. The receptionist on the evening we arrived was unfriendly and abrupt .The noise from guests coming and going all night was horrendous. At one point the reception staff were shouting room numbers out like he was calling bingo . Lots of coming and goings all through the night . Lack of towels in room no top sheet on bed . Four gang extensions plugged into one another and in waste bin . Dirty fan and flaking paint . Bed in room one was extremely uncomfortable.
- Paris (1/5): One Big Mistake! - Twin room. Room only. The location was fine for where I needed to be the following morning, hence the booking. Marketed as a Hotel. Clientele a mix between workmen with Transit vans (fine) and half-way house accomodation for Local Authority problem families (less so!)
- Catherine (8/5): - Quaint boutique style very friendly and helpful staff
Rooms were nice. Nothing
- Liam (4/5): - Room not cleaned on second day, tea not replaced or mugs cleaned, not enough towels on first evening
- Damion (8/5): Very good -
- David (6/5): Pleasant -
- Penny (5/5): Ideal location and parking, perfect - The rooms were clean and we were given a choice of rooms. This helped as Father-in-law needed to be on the ground floor. Beds were comfortable and en-suite was also clean. Due to the rooms having fire doors, these had been badly fitted and when people closed them, the noise was heard throughout the property, making it a noisy night as people returned at different times during the night.
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Sue (4/5): Disappointing - not great for tourists - little to nothing.
Breakfast was not an option on Booking.com - so we did not receive it. Fridge was leaking water - then they replaced it.
Room was not services on second day - so no new teabags or milk & beds not made and cups & bathroom not cleaned.
They promised a fan - but we had to beg for it on the second evening - then it was so weak & only 1 window could open - so very little air flow.
2 towels of different sizes and no hand towel.
Even tho i specifically booked a "twin" room - then called to ask if i wanted a double bed!
- Marlon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Heather (6/5): - Room very old. Small room & beds. Very outdated. Shower room was clean and more modern but there was a toothbrush cup holder beside sink which was needing a clean. It was a basic place to stay which reflected on the cheap price! Breakfast was not included but told it was £12.50 each but we declined.
Gentleman at reception was such a lovely friendly man so 5*for his professionalism.
Sorry but I would not recommend this run down looking place. It needs totally renovated and modernised.
No I would not stay there again I’d stay at premier lodge instead and pay extra because you always know what you’ll get there.
- Sharon (5/5): Very basic - The bed was comfortable, The room decoration was muddled, the pillowcase dirty, the toilet had not been flushed on arrival in the room. The flush was poor. Very hot in the room.
- Tracy (8/5): Ticked the boxes, needed a bed shower and parking. - Clean and quiet
- Muhammad (2/5): - Bed was broken. Bar was out of stock on all good drinks. Food menu was limited. Not worth the money, better off going to Premier Inn or Travelodge down the road. They cost more but, better quality. I will not stay here again.
- Pamela (6/5): Nice and reliable - We know it so it’s good to be back The standard has slipped somewhat
- Luke (6/5): Pleasant -
- Karen (6/5): I will not stay there again. - I got there at around 6pm. They put me on the highest floor because all the other rooms were occupied by that time. I had a large suitcase. Luckily the gentleman offered to take my suitcase up to the top for me. The room was not very clean. Luckily the sheets looked clean. The pillows were very strange. They were small and rectangular. They were foam with a strange quilt over them with pillow cases over that. The hotel is in a residential neighborhood that you would think would be quiet. It was not. Loud music at 10:30-11pm at night. Cars racing through some nights. Housekeeping was intermittent. One time they cleaned the room, took the dirty towels on the floor and the hung up ones but didn’t replace them. The TV didn’t work at all. The WiFi connection was poor. It was a shame because the Hotels.com website gives them a “Very Good” rating. I should have Googled them earlier because those reviews were similar to mine, not good. I’m not sure how it got such a good rating on Hotels.com.
- Debbie (10/5): We stay when we can, because we feel at ease, safe and comfy. Staff are attentive and very nice - Felt very relaxed and the staff go above and beyond. Rooms are small but everything you need is there.. Homely feel to it and relaxing
- Lee (8/5): Enjoyed and comfortable - Friendly staff nice room The only complaint i would say was the breakfast not much out i think they only cooked a few at a time when it was help urself brekki plus the jams where out of date
- Rick (7/5): It was convieny - Location Basic facilities
- Harvey (7/5): Good - Room was comfortable, and ground floor as requested. Bathroom had been fully modernised, but, the shower area was a little tight on space. It was a very warm night and a fan in the room would have helped with a decent nights sleep
- Verified traveler (4/5): Definitely not a 3 star hotel - First time stay and unfortunately will be the last.
The room was basic but very tired. Old curtains. Unprofessional decorations with marks, stains & paint overlaps everywhere
The Louvre doors to the bathroom were dirty, as were the door surrounds. Dried toothpaste on the tiles above the sink. Holes that had been drilled in tiles were overfilled and left like it. No attempt to remove excess grout. Shower soap holder had black mould. Stale smell in bathroom generally.
Bedding was cheap and looked dated. Mattress had no support. It sank to the base just on sitting on it. TV was lopsided and filthy. Remote didn’t look too clean either so didn’t touch it or use tv. Various stains on carpet.
Despite advertising to the contrary, there is NO BAR and NO FOOD served at this hotel. I was told the bar is a work in progress but doesn’t yet exist as such and, while there is an eating area, it wasn’t yet open as they had neither staff nor food to serve guests. They hoped to begin this service shortly, but breakfast would be £15, double the price advertised on the website! I was told that they didn’t tell guests there was no bar/food service because if they did, people would not book to stay. Surely this is false advertising?
Parking is extremely limited. Maybe 7 spaces and mostly filled with work vans, suggesting this hotel is frequented by trades people looking for a cheap overnight stay. Street parking is limited and you may have to park a walk away from the hotel.
- Anu (5/5): When u can not sleep then that is always a bad experience - Staff The beds were no good
Too soft and we could not sleep so that was no good
The beds need changing
- Julie (7/5): Good -
- Naibert (9/5): Superb -
- Brian (4/5): - Room was not as pictures. Floors had water damage and were cracking. There is limited parking with a brick wall to navigate that is dangerous.
- Wes (5/5): Passable - Jacuzzi Dirt came out off jacuzzi pumps
Broken shower door
Dusty floors
- Sally (10/5): - L like the feel of the hotel. It has a lot of character. It is comfortable and quiet and the staff are friendly. The price is very reasonable. I’ve stayed a few times now and every room is different.
- G (10/5): - The room was great although i font believe that bath had beem cleaned and the prices for breakfast were different to what was on the website.
However, apart from thos the toom was great, the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was cooked to order and was absolutely magnificent. Would stay here agsin!
- Rhoda (8/5): Very good -
- Amardeep (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gwendoline (8/5): Charming Hotel!! - Avis Hotel was in an Excellent location with Fabulous parking! It was very clean and the staff friendly!! The only down side for us was trying to get the hot water right for showering!!
- Gordon (7/5): Good -
