- Kerry (10/5): -
- Jill (8/5): - Loved everything really except a couple of things to mention under dislikes. There were no screens on windows which would allow windows to be open while unwanted bugs including mosquitoes could be kept out.
No WiFi available during our stay. That's a big minus unfortunately.
I'm not sure why this is, but as is common with most holiday accommodation, there was no reasonable non stick frying pan.
When customers pay a lot per night for accommodation, providers could generate some positive feedback by simply doing the little things well and at little cost to themselves. Something to consider?
- Simpson-Thouliss (10/5): Relaxing Easter Long Weekend - The room was absolutely beautiful and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting out on the back deck, exploring the gorgeous gardens and the location was great. We could walk or drive to nearby restaurants and attractions. The spa bath was so relaxing, especially after doing some long bush walks nearby. Check in and out was seamless, the information provided by the hosts beforehand was excellent. We barely noticed the others staying in neighbouring cottages, it still felt very private. We feel so refreshed after our stay. Was a bit hard to dry the towels properly between uses. Some better drying racks would be helpful.

- Harka (10/5): Really enjoyed and so comfortable enjoy spa nice connecting with nature beautiful room - Good atmosphere very comfortable feels like home No comments

- Geoff (9/5): Very enjoyable and very relaxing. - NA. Nothing.
- Jodie (9/5): - Quiet. Dark. Peaceful.
Night animals, frogs, snakes.
Morning birds. Shower water pressure was a little inconsistent..
Toilet took a few flushes to complete the job.
Wifi was very inconsistent.
- Deborah (10/5): I had the most wonderful stay and was able to just get away from all the hustle and bustle and get back to nature and st - I loved the peaceful forest surrounds, closeness to nature, secluded and quiet position but close to everything. A lovely cottage with a wood fire and spa and all that I needed for my stay. Suited me perfectly. All of the staff were also simply wonderful, welcoming and helpful. Nothing to dislike
- paul (10/5): -
- Josiah (9/5): Cute and clean cottage - Beautiful little cottage with all the good basics, clean and great location. The little bed that had been made up for our child was very sweet. The kitchen blinds did not work as expected.
- Remi (10/5): -
- Jade (9/5): Beautiful stay - Beautiful property and great location. Close to everything but also felt secluded for my getaway.
- Maddison (10/5): Overall, we loved our stay! Was a lovely little place for a getaway. Would definitely come back. - The location was fantastic. It was quiet and relaxing, with beautiful gardens to wonder in. The room was spacious and perfect for a getaway We stayed for 3 days and found the bar fridge was just too small for groceries, it would have been fine if our stay was shorter. Additionally the sky light in the wall, while beautiful during the day, did mean for an early wake up due to the light coming through in the mornings.
- Josh (10/5): - Awesome self checkin service, beautiful location, very quiet and clean.
- Kellee (10/5): -
- Richards (10/5): -
- Karen (9/5): - Quaint, private
- Bradley (10/5): - Amazing location. Beautiful scenery and the room was amazing. Comfy bed, spa, good shower, beautiful furnishings. The fireplace was a godsend.
- Bec (6/5): It's all about the small things ..... - We liked the bed, it was a great size and the comfort level was high. The tap water was great - tank and filtered, spot on. The location was also good, back off the main drag and nice and quiet. Overall it was good but driving in looking at the standard being presented the cottages definitely didn't meet that. It was the small things for us that took the shine off. We couldn't use the smart tv to watch a movie via apps, the toiletry dispensers barely worked so it was difficult to get conditioner and body wash in particular. The table on the patio was severely rusted and I caught my shirt on it when getting up. The windows above the door, even though it was beautiful watching the stars, it was way too bright when the sun came up to sleep. The parking for cottages would also be challenging if all parks were taken.
- Nicola (8/5): Spacious, clean, comfortable, well provisioned, great communication, quiet and excellent location. When weather is cold, - Spacious, clean, comfortable, well provisioned, great communication, quiet and excellent location Thought the $20 for firewood was a little steep and we really had to purchase because we needed the fire to stay warm.
Bathroom felt cold even with fire and air con on.

- Joel (9/5): - Beautiful peaceful location, great for the winter weekend getaway we wanted. The extra bed, towel and linen that we had booked wasn't ready when we arrived. However, the accommodation owners were quick to rectify this.
- Kent & Gayle (9/5): Paradise on the mountain! - Wonderful location, just minutes from Shops and Restaurants. Superbly manicured lawns and gardens, incredibly peaceful. Cabins were clean and comfortable and enjoyed the wood fire immensely.
- Kiye (9/5): -
- Sonia (1/5): Complete rip off - dont come here !!!!! - Location. Walkable to North Tamborine. Bed not made properly ( ie no doona/blankets) even in winter!!! No fly screens on deck doors. No view from spa window - just blinds covering very cheap "contact" that peels off. Inadequate amounts of tea/coffee/sugar. No privacy. Lots of noise from back neighbour. Can see neighboring cottages so have to keep blinds shut. Bathroom decor old. Bathroom floor slipping hazard. No welcome. Noone in office to take payment at check out. Worse of all, we pointed these things out to management, and they were unwilling to recompense, compensate or show understanding. We pointed out it was our wedding anniversary and I was in recovery from recent car accident, and they refused to return my email or ring me to discuss, as requested. Disgusted.
- Mara (10/5): A peaceful, picture-perfect romantic escape with every thoughtful detail — we loved every moment and can’t wait to retur - Shambala Eco Resort at Mount Tamborine is a dream. The location is stunning, private, with beautifully manicured gardens, a charming chapel, and a peaceful outdoor wedding area. Our room was large, modern and spotless, with a fully equipped kitchen and even a little bottle of fresh milk in the fridge — such a thoughtful touch. Staff were so kind and friendly.
The spa bath was massive and the whole cottage was more beautiful than in the photos, ( bring along your own salts or bath bombs). We loved the cozy fireplace — don’t hesitate to pay the $20 for firewood; it’s totally worth it for the atmosphere.
The place is easy to find with free parking and just a gorgeous, peaceful setting. There’s nothing negative to say — we’ll definitely be back. Loved everything about this place. Please look no further.
- Andrea (5/5): Passable -
- Annette (9/5): Fabulous location with well designed cottages for a romantic getaway. - Beautifully manicured grounds. Lovely designed cottages with views of rainforest trees and temperate shrubs. Fire wood available for the wood fireplace in the cottage. Close to beautiful outlooks and eateries and cafes.
- Wayne (9/5): A relaxing and enjoyable short break -
- Candice (9/5): Superb -
- Troy (9/5): Superb - Cozy little cabin in a peaceful setting, exactly what we were after. Once we got back from dinner, we just sat Infront of the fire drinking wine and reminiscing. I was hoping wood was supplied for the fire but buying it was no drama.
- Stadtmiller (10/5): I will be back!! - The spa bath was absolutely beautiful and the location and little cottages. I highly recommend this as an ideal getaway.
- Tina (10/5): A wonderful overnight stay that was peaceful and the cabin was perfect! - Tranquil
Well kept
Quiet Nothing
- Michelle (6/5): Pleasant - Location, grounds and spa bath. The blinds in bathroom were filthy and unable to operate. Cracked drinking glass would suggest these items aren’t checked. Facilities are dated and shower head needs replacing. No staff interaction as it now uses self check in.
- Jianqing (8/5): Very good - The garden was beautiful and it was really nice to take walks. The room was generally clean, however there was still mould in the bathroom especially on the ceiling, window blinds and on the back of the door.
- Bridget (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alexanrda (9/5): Superb -
- Angus (9/5): Superb -
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Harvey (7/5): A really enjoyable stay . - Excellent location . Quiet but close to everything . Housekeeping minimal for longer stay . Fresh towels , toilet paper and shampoo items would have made the stay excellent
- Maryam (8/5): Very good - The location, Cleanness, Self checking, Spa It was all good. There were no conditioner in the bathroom but we had ours with us so all good.
The cupboard under kitchen sink was not as clean as rest of the room.
- Eliza (9/5): Relaxing, quiet, clean and spacious. - Easy check-in, good location, great rooms and spacious, spa bath fit for one person, relaxing, very clean, air-conditioning, quiet, powerpoints next to bed, view of trees and field, The large blinds next to the spa bath would not close at all - had to hang towels and shirts if I wanted to use the bathroom, especially at night. All other blinds in cottage worked perfect.
- Cindy (4/5): Not value for money. - The gardens. The friendly, helpful staff. No body wash (was brought on second day when I requested). Toilet couldn’t be flushed successfully (also attended to on my second day there). Broken blinds. Advertised that there were complimentary biscuits, but these didn’t exist. Mould on ceiling and smelly cupboard under sink. Overpriced.
- Anne (9/5): Superb - Lovely cabin. Would stay again!
- David (8/5): Very nice location but the staff could do with some PR training. - Lovely setting in quiet location Staff were not responsive to my book in requirements
- Philip (10/5): Quiet, relaxing. - The location is perfect for Tamborine mountain being close the amenities, walks and attractions. Placed in a beautiful garden. Very quiet and secluded. Very clean and comfortable. The kitchenette is functional maybe a litttle light on utensils and cutting knives.
- Steve (6/5): Pleasant - Peaceful. Didn't see another person until 5mins before we left
TV had its own hard drive with movies loaded onto it
The spa was a great way to relax and spend time together No fly screens on any doors or windows, so A/C was on 24/7
Not much in the way of kitchen utensils and cookware. We had to cut our steaks with butter knives, make our salad in a frypan and cook our pasta in two small pots
It looked like there was mould in the silicone around the spa, as well as the blinds, which had not been cleaned properly
- Abbey (8/5): Very good -
- Glenda (9/5): Lovely cabin and location. The grounds were beautiful. - Breakfast not provided but toaster and gas cook top in the cabin. Frypan and pots also provided. Bed and pillows were a little soft, but that’s just personal preference. I spoke to the cleaning staff about providing scourers to clean the frypan properly and she said she would pass this on to management.
- Michael (9/5): Shambala delivers on its promise. -
- Jon (9/5): Considering the rain it was very good - Privacy and fire Maybe the rear deck could have a cover over it
- Phillip (10/5): Other than afall while out eating, i had afall. - N/A Acess to food, eg Breakfast.
- Ambreesh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patrick (8/5): Peaceful - There was no milk for my cup of tea
- Bayden (9/5): Superb -
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maurice (9/5): Superb - Serene remote location
- Brenton (10/5): Loved the place, wish I had more time there! - I wish I could have stayed longer so I could have taken a stroll around the grounds, it seemed really well looked after and interesting! I loved everything, but 1 thing would be filtered water at the tap. I’m a waterholic :D
- Reza (7/5): It was great place to retreat and relax with nature. - Location close to few attractions. Peaceful and privacy with greenery surrounding the cottage. Free wifi didn’t work at all in mobile phones or TV wifi not connected.
- Emma (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - Location was great! Close to everything...
- Gary (8/5): Very good -
- Nicole (8/5): Peaceful little spot, perfect for a weekend stay to recharge - Super quiet stay. Peaceful little spot. Close to town centre. Shade cloth over the big windows were a smart idea! 🙂 we loved our stay. Our toddler loves the rainforest! We’ll definitely be back. Fire wood could have been a bit bigger and longer lasting for $15 or bigger options to purchase, plus some kindling options, we had to buy a bag for each night due to being so cold.
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Bethany (10/5): It was amazing and highly recommend. We will definitely be returning again for work & fun. -
- Lily (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (9/5): Superb - The room was so airy. When we opened the doors we could hear the birds singing Nc
- Stuart (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing atmosphere, beautiful views. Spa bath is amazing. Will be staying again for sure
- Carmen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Warren (8/5): Very good -
- Renee (8/5): Very good -
- Charyse (10/5): Beautiful getaway - Great space - beautiful peaceful scenery. Dog friendly which was essential for us. VERY comfy bed, and has some amazing bush walks not far from this location - Curtis falls, cedar creek falls and sky light are the ones we did. Nothing at all
- Beverly (10/5): We had a wonderful stay at Shambala Estate!! - The location was perfect. The room was beautiful. The staff were so incredibly friendly and lovely. We had a wonderful time and will be back again! Nothing. The whole stay was wonderful!
- Barry-cotter (10/5): Gorgeous retreat, definitely coming back for more - Walking freely around the beautiful grounds, and the very charming cottage Nothing it was great
- Adriana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kay (8/5): A hidden gem - Upon entering the grounds and then cottage, we were blown away. The place is gorgeous with so much charm and incredibly quiet. The cottage really was idyllic. If you don’t like hearing every crunch of a twig or creek of the property in the night, it probably isn’t for you due to the level of quiet. The cottages are hidden down away from the main entry of the property which is often used for weddings and functions so most people wouldn’t even realise the cottages were there and it feels like a bit of a hidden gem. We loved that they’d incorporated a mini bar into a cottage environment through the use of the QR code. The bed was quite hard and light weight meaning every move to get comfortable or toss and turn meant the bed was moving off the wall. We had real trouble sleeping due to these factors and the amount of light in the room. The back end of the cottage has sliding doors opening out onto the decking area which do have curtains which are able to be closed, however there is a large triangular window above with no covering. As a result, the room is quite light throughout the night, we didn’t once need to turn a light on to get up for anything. The wifi connection was so poor that we were unable to connect to the smart tv without setting up a hot spot from our phones. The use of the tv was a bit of a must for us as we’d just spent a few rainy days in another location with no tv, coming to the mountain during similar weather meant we could at least settle in at night with a movie. The spa bath was a nice addition although we only used it the once due to it being a bit too big (not usually an issue) and being unable to secure ourselves in the bath. We were holding ourselves up by the sides and kept slipping down into the bath due to lack of non slip mats which I understand is due to hygiene reasons.
- Aleisha (7/5): Good -
- Wayne (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (8/5): Very good - Quiet
Peaceful No curtain on top window
- Paula (10/5): Wish we could have stayed longer - Just fantastic. The spa was fantastic. Nothing
- Brendan (9/5): Superb -
- Michelle (4/5): Disappointing - Environmental factors due to location Dirty ceilings bugs and spider webs inside and outside windows. I used the broom myself to clear the webs from the bathroom window frame so I could open the window, Fan not working in the bathroom and clogged up with dust. Used cotton tip on the floor in the bathroom on arrival.
Broken dusty blinds with missing slat in bedroom area. I was disappointed with cleaning standards. Ceilings were in need of a real clean. Just look up!
- Ash (10/5): So relaxing and cosy - if it rains….light the fire!! - So pretty, well appointed and super clean! Not a thing!
- Nicole (8/5): Relaxing get away - We did not have breakfast included but they have a little basquet with snacks that you can pay for also drinks in the mini bar. Beautiful and relaxing view, it has a nice balcony area. The bath tub was a nice add on and the size of bathroom/room in general was good the parking is not right next to the cabin but that's a tiny detail. It is not so close to everything if you weren't driving still not crazy far I would say.
Also we had problems with the wifi to watch netflix and that, might have just been us ..
