- Gringobravo (10/5): You are Safe at Casa Wayak. - You are Safe here. Nobody can get in or out of the Hostel without a code. The staff, owners, and the people that stay here all care about your safety. Mexico is only Dangerous if you go looking for trouble. There is no trouble at Casa Wayak, nor will there ever be. Safety is one of their top concerns. 👌 There are always plenty of helpful people around to guide you in the right direction, give you advice, or help with anything else that is needed while you are enjoying your time in Cancún México. Super markets, stores, typical tourist stuff, the beach, plenty of places to walk, amazing food, all within walking distance. A place to do your laundry is a 5 minute walk. Affordable and great customer service. Highly recommend. They have dorm rooms and private rooms with two private rooms on the roof near the pool. The view at night is amazing. For the money, you will not find a better place. You will be treated like a human that Matters. You will be able to relax here. 😌
- Gringobravo (10/5): Casa Wayak is Life Changing 🙌 - The staff and owners are some of the best people you will ever meet in Mexico 🇲🇽 and on Planet Earth 🌏 They are working hard at repairing and remodeling the Hostel. All issues are being addressed. You will be safe here. There is absolutely no danger in or around Casa Wayak. The people that stay here are always willing to help you out with advice and suggestions. Affordable. Near everything. Roof top mini pool. Wonderful terrace. Pure Water to drink. Free coffee and breakfast. This place has changed my life for the better. I have nothing negative to say about Casa Wayak para siempre. Gringo Bueno porque Casa Wayak Existe.
- Frederik (3/5): Would not book again - -staff was nice and breakfast was simple but nice -rooftop was very nice as well -the room was very dirty with mold at the ceiling and dirty pillows, the entire room was dark and uncomfortable -water was not working the whole evening -common areas except from the terrace are not really inviting

- Leon (3/5): I'd stay away. - It's cheap. It's cheap but it's also very simple and not clean. We had a cockroach in our bathroom and just overall not a well cleaned hostel. The matrass of the bunk bed is just a little bit of foam and the towels are old and smelly.

We didn't have hot water (f its cloudy you won't), the bed awful (you sink completely), it smelled and had traces of humidity, bathroom barely cleaned (I saw hair balls in the floor). Extremely noisy, people from staff talking the whole night.

- Rohit (3/5): Bad....can be better, but pretty bad as of now.... - Nice rooftop lounging area in the evening. Location is good, only a KM from the ADO bus station. Really dirty..especially the toilets...they weren't even flushed with smelly gunk floating... I got a top bunk, with a ladder almost stuck to the wall perpendicular to the bunk...I wonder how people find that comfortable..it's like taking a leap of faith from the ladder to your bunk, all while scraping your toes against the wall given there is almost no space between the wall and the ladder.... Noisy air-conditioner with minimal cooling impact...the neighbours of this property were loud and played TV and music until 3 am, which basically meant no chance of catching much sleep. I also realised I got charged 1.5 times in a 8 bed dorm compared to a 4 bed dorm....it Ideally should have been the reverse...

- Brigitta (3/5): Bed bugs in dorm - The staff was helpful At first, it seemed fine, other than the cold water... but then during the night, I woke up to bed bugs climbing on me... I immediately reached out to reception but didn't find anyone. Had to wait for like an hour for staff to show up, while I tried to pack my stuff, making sure I'm not taking anything unwanted home with me. When they showed up, they helped me and refunded me as well for the inconvenience but I wouldn't have recommended this experience to anyone. I really hope they called the professionals to clean the small dorm

- Maleen (2/5): avoid and choose a better option for the price - breakfast was fine and free water available the place was so dirty; upon entering our room there were 3 large cockroaches and the room smelled damp and mildewy. the bed crunched with every movement as though made from plastic, sheets were thin, cheap polyester and the pillows had black spots smelling of mould. the bathroom had no toiletries, not even a bar of soap. The towels were discoloured and left gray lint all over our skin when drying. No hot water in the shower. the place was not secure- when we arrived after midnight with a code to open the gate- we found it unlocked and a flimsy screen door to enter the hostel, also unlocked.

- Franziska (5/5): Good price-quality relation - I enjoyed the very friendly hosts that even allowed us to leave our luggage for a few days. It’s a very safe and family-oriented place. The equipment was very basic.
- Foote (1/5): Bad - nothing at all, owner fix your property. shower didnt work charged us more then booking price pool filthy not usable bed creeks loudly with every movment toilet paper was wet holes in the fly screens so mosquitoes everywhere in room room smelt like mould and stained everywhere roof top not as pictures, dark and shady looking refused to give us a receipt we ended up checking out before our stay ended, no refund. place in general is filthy aswell the owner should be absolutely ashamed, there has been no maintenence or deep cleaning for years. i recommend downtown studios instead its only 2 blocks away.

- Roy (10/5): I would encourage anyone going to Cancun to call Casa Wayak. It is clean, friendly and great! - The staff was over the top nice and helpful. We scored a private room, with private bath and shower and private AC! The cost for the room was less than we would have paid for two single (traveling with my wife) beds. The heat outside was oppressive, but they had a jacuzzi on the roof (just outside our door) that was not heated and great to jump into at the end of the day. The tree that overhung the jacuzzi was absolutely beautiful. Coffee in the morning was tops and the kitchen area was always clean!!

They need to put those curtains on the rails they have, it makes the space more comfortable. The shower was great, but hand saniters is not a substitute for soap, and the bathroom could do with being cleaned more

- Kiran (7/5): Good - Folks managing the property were pleasant. Welcoming with a smile and ready to help. Location was good as we could find Vegan food. It is about 1-2km for the tours meeting points. Several money exchangers close to Casa Wayak. Circle K is at the corner for all the supplies you may require. Breakfast was simple but world not rely on it as the primary food of the day. Bathroom door was not closing. The beds were not made daily. Change of towels where not made unless requested. The AC made a lot of noise. There are no cloth hangers just a long rod was provided. My room was in the ground floor.

- Dadoorian (3/5): A cheap joke - The bed was comfortable The surprise "sanitation tax" that was added to my reservation total after I had booked, the room was tiny (and I mean tiny), the shower ran cold, the lighting in the room was atrocious, the breakfast was small and underwhelming, the staff was cold/one receptionist wouldn't stop starring at me in a creepy manner but the worst part was the room had sheer curtains so the patio light shinned directly into the room until the sun came up and did the same.

It’s definitely totally overpriced!! The rooms are covered in mold and the smell is horrible. I got a headache because of the smell and had to change the room. The second room was a bit better but still stinky. The rooms don’t have windows so it’s kinda depressing in there and also the rooftop was a bit dirty and not the best place to chill there. But I’ve heard that the dorms are better than the private rooms.

- Mwesigwa (10/5): Excellent 👌 - The room was clean, the AC worked just fine, I was super tired when I arrived, they allowed me to check in earlier than 3:00pm and I was able to take a nap 😴 The place is not as noisy so one can rest properly, generally it was a great experience, I’ll definitely stay again if I come back to Cancún Maybe the Jacuzzi was a bit dirty, but that’s probably because there’s lots of trees around it so the leaves fall into the water. On the whole though, this place is amazing, I highly recommend it
- Agron (5/5): I was treated like homless and they toke me in for free :/ - chill easy mood, not a crazy party place. stuff was polite but very careless, from 3 nights I stayed , 2 of them I was locked out . first night I figure out room key was wrong . lucky another roommate came late after me and seen me waiting at door , he open for both of us. second night they closed house door , which key was not provided to us !!! I was so tired came back around 3-4 am from long walk and discovering city . and end up sleeping in front of the door outside on a chair :( Yes money was refunded to me, for one single night after I complain to owner . NO ONE APOLOGIZED TO ME FOR LOCKING ME OUT TWICE !!!

Clean in general. I was in a room for 5 with another 2 guys and it smelled quite bad. It was a mix of dampness and dirty clothes of my roommates. I understand that’s nothing to do with the hostel but it was a bit disgusting. But I guess I was unlucky with the roommates.

When I arrived I was helped by the staff to unload all my luggage (I had a lot) and my dog's transporter. Some of the guys at the reception shared their lunch with me and some good advice about how to move with my dog in the city. I was impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the hostel.

- Emil (7/5): I was happy to arrive without my credit card on hand and able to use an app called stripe that the owner was able to ut - the location breakfast could have included huevos and not just toast and a banana , however it was nice to have your own kitchen to cook , cannot complain!

- Gurkan (10/5): It was well worth the experience! - The hostel is very cute and colorful. There’s a rooftop patio to hang out on, and there’s always free fresh water. The best part is that the staff and the owner are super helpful and friendly! There are lots of amenities in walking distance such as shops, laundromat, and money exchangers. There’s no hot water available in the showers.

- Альбертович (4/5): BED BUGS BED BUGS BEDBUGS - Breakfast was OK location was OK In 4 days of my stay there was no hot water and the staff kept telling it's there it it will be soon. And of course the BEDBUGS the place is full of those.
