- Agnieszka (10/5): - Property looks much better than on pictures. Dog friendly property with amazing view. wi-fi
- Gwen (8/5): Didn’t want to leave. The view was stunning - Not applicable Few problems which were sorted after we reported them to owners
- Richard (9/5): Beach View, what a lovely stay! - Family of 5 who loved the view, comfortable bedrooms and nice bathroom with a great over bath shower. The hosts provided all our bedding and towels and even gave us beach towels! We enjoyed breakfast and dinner outside on the picnic bench with wonderful views of the beach and the sunset. We arrived early and the hosts were happy for us to check in a bit early.
Lovely location at the Widemouth Bay Holiday Village (WBHV) and easy to walk to Widemouth Beach and enjoy the rock pools, paddling, swimming, body boarding and surfing, and the Black Rock Cafe! If you carry all the beach stuff- tents, toys, buckets and spades, picnic- parking is available for £8 a day or £5 for three hours. From WBHV it's a quick picturesque 10 mins drive along the coast road to Bude where there are plenty of things to do- sand castles on the beach, paddling and swimming, paddle boats on the canal, crazy golf, the castle and exhibition centre, plus a wander round the shops, good cafes, and plenty of supermarkets to stock up on food. And don't forget the bowling alley.
It's also a short drive south to Tintagel, and Boscastle which are great places to visit.
The chalet had a small, but easy to use and perfectly fine kitchen. We appreciated it was well stocked with pots and pans, plates, bowls, cups, glasses and utensils, loved the dish washer and the microwave was very handy. There was everything we needed in the chalet, cleaning stuff, hairdryer, iron, dvd player, TV etc and internet which wasn't great but ok for emails, messaging (not for steaming stuff!). We liked the book shelf stocked with puzzles, board games, cards, and the info leaflets and DVDs. Plenty of space and things to do on rainy days.
The WBHV is a quiet place, it was full but never felt crowded. It has a great pool, though too much chlorine for our kids, great massage and spa, plus lovely bar and cafe where the pizzas went down a treat. We enjoyed the tennis court and the kids play equipment. Not enough trolleys on check out to get our luggage up to the car park. Internet isn't great so tethered to our phones when we wanted netflix or Amazon prime video etc. we used EE and Three networks which seemed ok.
The games room at the WBHV clubhouse had a lot of stuff that was out of order, like the air hockey table.
- Katharina (10/5): - Super Lage, Chalet bietet alles, was man braucht.
- Spencer (7/5): Good -
- Melina (10/5): Lovely holiday chalet with amazing views -
- Tepo32 (8/5): Very good - Perfect view. Good location. Very quiet (due to the season?)
Good accommodation
- Dave (10/5): This was possibly the best holiday we've had in North Cornwall. We would love to come again. - The location was excellent. The views were fantastic and watching the sunset each night from the comfort of our own patio was worth the cost of the holiday. On top of that, we managed to watch a meteor shower with an incredibly clear sky, and we saw the Aurora over Widemouth beach! The quiet location was exactly what we wanted. The location was very convenient for the areas we like to visit with Crackington Haven, Bude, Widemouth Bay all within a very short drive. Going home!
- Debbie (8/5): overall very chilled - location
quiet
view settees a little low for someone needing new knee struggled to get up
- Jessica (10/5): The best pl - Lovely cosy property perfect for a family holiday, well equipped, even with a basket for the dog! Absolutely beautiful location. The host Rosie was lovely & checked in to make sure everything was ok, the bottle of wine & chocolate orange was a nice surprise too. N/A
- Re'na (10/5): Perfect holiday stay - The views are incredible. Bottle of wine and chocolates are a lovely little touch.Didn’t want to leave.
- Jill (10/5): fabulous week, would stay again - The view is amazing. The property is of a good size for a family of 4. Nice & clean, and has everything you need The hill from the car park to the property was unexpected
- Sophie (8/5): Beautiful location and views, fantastic weather. - Beautiful location and views. Proximity to beach wonderful. Not quite big enough for our family but a great location. Would have been good to have a shop for supplies within walking distance but not a problem - big superstores only a short drive.
- Louise (5/5): Great location shame about the lack of little luxeries - Great location beautiful view Property was very basic and though we'll equipped we did miss some things we had to buy ourselves.
