- Debbie (9/5): - The peace & quiet ,great location ,walking distance to the pub & local newsagents. Space for car parking right outside. Nothing was too much trouble for Laura if we needed anything. Definitely stay again when I next visit Loved everything ❤️

- Barend (10/5): Comfortable and spacious stay - A lovely, quiet hut with two bedrooms and plenty of space. It felt spacious and comfortable, and was definitely worth a visit. highly recommended.
- Emma (8/5): Great way to relax before a flight from Gatwick. - Very handy for the airport. The owner sent details on how to find the hut which were excellent. Lovely and clean with little extras like milk, coffee, tea and cereals provided. Beds were a little too soft but this can’t be helped and some people may prefer this. Just meant we struggled to sleep a little.
- stephen (10/5): Very cosy and highly recommend -
- Nick (10/5): Perfect place for short commute to Gatwick - Great location and immaculate
- Steven (10/5): -
- Sanah (10/5): Lovely and very well equipped. Comfortable. Great host - The place was well equipped and catered for every needs considering there’s no nearby shop. It is very comfortable. Very good for 2-3 people pushing it 4 but it would be a squeeze The area is hard to reach. If you catching an uber it’s hard to the uber to reach outside your lodge so we have a walk a little but it’s expected in the area
- Jamie (10/5): - Excellent alternative to a stuffy, noisy airport hotel. Very comfy bed. I have no complaints
- RitaLab (8/5): A smart option for an airport hotel. Lovely place close to Gatwick. - The place is lovely any very close to Gatwick. I can recommend it for early flights. Please note that due to the location, airport traffic is always present, plane traffic started at about 5.45 am.
- Jo (10/5): Beautiful cabin, super clean and comfortable- Book it! - Spotlessly clean
Super friendly & responsive host
Great location for Gatwick Airport
We were travelling very light as we were walking a 80 mile journey for Charity (which the host very kindly donated to)
So good to have tea making facilities and milk, also lots of other thoughtful bathroom items and cooking items.
The cabin was cosy and had all we needed.
I will definitely book again.
- Zoe (8/5): Great find for the convenience and parking. Would book again. - Very good for an overnight stay before an early morning flight. Great for parking whilst away. Laura a great host. Smaller than I had realised. A bit cramped for four adults but we were only there a matter of hours. Would be fine for small family.
- ceri (10/5): Excellent, exactly as descibed and what was required - Very quirky and an excellent alternative to an airport hotel. Near a nice pub for an evening meal and the support and guidance from the host was excellent. n/a
- Niki (9/5): Perfect solution to an early flight. - This was the perfect stop over for an early flight from Gatwick. Made the morning so much less stressful. Clean, beautifully presented and a very important cup of tea made possible!
- Jodi (10/5): Amazing I will be back - It had everything you needed , everything was well thought of and it was cute and cosy , great seeing the planes and on the last day we got to pet the dogs which was lovely . Nothing
- Sheena (8/5): Just Perfect for pre or post flight stay - Location, independence. Very cute set up. Everything you needed. We were extremely close to runway. Although did not disturb us.
- Joy (9/5): - Perfect place to spend night before out 10am flight
- Lynch (10/5): Exceptional - The whole experience was just perfect. Everything
- Vit (9/5): Superb - We would recommend for one night before flight.
Place was nicely secluded, but easy to acces from airport by uber.
Nice outside area, for tea or breakfast also.
The best about accomodation were owners dogs. 😀 Minor issue. Shower door were little bit tricky.
- Glynn (7/5): Functional but not as good as we were expecting from the photos / description. - Close to the airport and functional. Poor quality mattress and bedding made for a poor nights sleep.
Far less private than expected from photos and description as is effectively in the garden of a very large property overlooking the hut and has a driveway and other buildings behind.
Expensive for what it turned out to be.
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional - Everything had been thought of. A delightful overnight stay.
Perfect directions and communication.
- Eric (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing little house, clean, with all the equipment, close to the airport, good communication with the owner. Would definitely stay again.
- Gemma (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect for an overnight stay before our flight. The communication with the owner was excellent and the location couldn’t have been more convenient. The hut has everything you could need, it's very cosy and comfy, and is furnished beautifully, we actually wished we could stay longer! Having a cup of tea was a lovely bonus. We'll definitely be staying again next time we have an early flight!
- Fiona (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Great Comms
- Hannah (5/5): Unfortunately the heating didn't work and was unable to be fixed during our stay so we were freezing - It was clean and close to the airport It was very hard to find - middle of nowhere
The road is long and full of gravel / stones so very hard to pull your suitcase and luggage along on wheels
It is very tiny, not much room
There is no oven (we couldn't cook our pizza)
The planes are loud and frequent, couldn't get any sleep
There was no hot water to begin with (eventually it worked) but couldn't have a shower on arrival
The heating would not work - the owner offered us a fan heater but couldn't fix the boiler for us. It was VERY cold!
I personally don't think it's a good option to stay before a flight - the idea is cute but maybe it's better for a countryside getaway
- Ella (10/5): Very comfortable - Was a perfect getaway , very private and peaceful .
- Folarin (5/5): Passable -
- Sharon (8/5): Very good - Beautiful place with all the facilities, the owner is available for any question. The room is small and it's hard to find the place but the owner sent us a video of the roade
- Allison (10/5): Exceptional - Everything! Before we arrived we were sent a text to tell us exactly how to find them. On arrival everything was there that we needed for our one night stay. The hut was beautifully finished to a high standard. I wish we could have stayed longer. Absolutely nothing. Everything was perfect.
- Lucy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tonya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennie (10/5): Exceptional - Very cosy and had everything we needed! Had a lovely evening xx Perfect for what we needed !
- Moore (10/5): Hidden shepherd hut - The bed was exceptional
...best we have slept in while away ...the surroundings were beautiful hidden in a lovely village when at Ur location U could be anywhere in the world on a hot day ... beautiful
- Oleksandr (10/5): Excellent - It was far away from anything, so i was calming, even tho there was some construction work going on, we couldn’t hear anything inside.
House had everything we needed(cofe, sugar, kitchen stuff, etc.).
There was 2 cafes and a shop near. Price, it was 130£ for one night, could’ve been a little cheaper.
- Stacy (9/5): Great place to stop if needing to be nearby Gatwick - Nice and clean property in a lovely country setting. Comfortable for a short stay in the area and perfect as a pit stop to/from Gatwick. All good.
- Dawn (10/5): Beautiful place. - I paid for this night away for my son and his girlfriend. They absolutely loved it. The host messaged me and sent all details on how to get there and kept me in the loop. This lady was very professional and nothing was too much trouble.
The place was very clean and comfortable bed.
They even have friendly dogs that like to greet you.
They would definitely go again.
- Hamish (10/5): A great stay. We loved everything about the hut. - The property was set in a beautifully cut off garden which felt secluded and private. It was the perfect stop-off before flying out from Gatwick. The host was very efficient, friendly and attentive. We loved our stay. Nothing…we couldn’t have asked for more.
- Geraldine (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and fab location
- Daniel (10/5): Excellent place for an overnight stay - Ideal location for an overnight stay before flying. Lovely little spot. Great communication from the owner. Very clean and nice that it was fully equipped with tea, milk etc
- Beecham (10/5): Exceptional -
- Matt (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steven (9/5): Superb -
- Megan (9/5): Great communication with Laura. Always on the end of the phone for any questions that I had. Her instructions and check - The outside of the property was very spacious and the inside was very modern and beautifully done. We liked hearing the planes go over and sat outside listening to them. It was about 10 minutes from the airport which was fine but hard trying to tell the drivers were to go. We had an early morning flight, so had to carry our cases along the shingles as we didn’t want to wake the neighbours but we couldn’t pull them through, for us to meet our driver at the bottom of the road.
- Vicki (10/5): Fantastic comfortable hideaway for a stopover! - It was so quirky, very comfortable. Laura the owner was amazing with her communication. Loved our stay. Wish it could have been for longer. Nothing
- Melissa (10/5): Highly recommended airport stopover. Comfortable and well equipped. - An excellent peaceful place to stay prior to flying from Gatwick airport. Short walk to the pub. Great facilities. Very comfortable and well equipped. Nothing.
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Scott (10/5): Great value and facilities - Location great not far from airport and facilities were perfect Nothing nit to.like
- Ben (10/5): Brilliant location and facilities, very friendly and informative host - Very unique, cosy, quiet and also feels fairly rural considering proximity to airport
- Katy (10/5): Lovely alternative to an airport hotel. - This little hut has literally everything you need including lots of little extras. It was so much more pleasant than staying in the usual airport hotels. It was clean, comfortable and really well equipped. Communication from the host was superb and she even sent a video of how to find the hut and where to park.
- Keir (10/5): Exceptional - Owner went out of her way to make the stay comfortable.
Ideal location
- Louise (10/5): Amazing stay, the property is warm and welcoming and in the perfect location - Fabulous property, cozy and had everything we needed
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - Stunning hut, in a very quiet location
- Tracy (10/5): Great little stopover for Gatwick or a short break - Location to Gatwick is fabulous and for less than a hotel room you can have a fabulous space for a couple, family of four or 2 couples. Great facilities, comfy beds and lots of little extras, including the gorgeous dogs who came to welcome us. Nothing
- Wayne (7/5): Good -
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional - Tranquility.
Cosiness
Amenities.
The Owner went out of her way to maje us feel comforrable
Very relaxed build up to our flight from gatwick the next day
Thank you
- Andy (8/5): Very good -
- Edward (10/5): Exceptional -
- Glenn (9/5): Lovely little place in nice settings - Clean and comfortable perfect for quiet nights away Nothing I didn’t like
- Scott (10/5): Clean, convenient and really well equipped and priced - Perfect for an evening stop over before an early flight. The hut had everything that we needed and was spotless. We arrived at night and missed the hut on the first pass. However this was due to our sat nav.
- Pearl (10/5): My stay at Hudeawy hut was peaceful, calm . It is a good place to stay with family after a long week of work. I will def - Very calm and basic necessity which was provided by the owner. NA
- Chai (8/5): Nice stay for transit, cosy house. - Cereals and milk provided for breakfast was a plus point for our early start. Property is small and compact, have everything you need. Host was friendly and borrowed us her hair dryer. Clean and tidy, tastefully decorated. Cosy house, we had a nice dinner before the family members travel back to different homes. Some distance from the main road and with pebbles road, difficult for luggages/ trolley bags. More suitable for people travelling with own car or taxi.
- Lisa (9/5): Superb - Excellent use of small space. Close to the airport. Great for one night. A bit hard to see the sign for the hut in the dark. A few min walk from the gate to the hut.
- Paul (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (9/5): A comfortable, clean and unusual property close to the airport. - The property is set in a very calming location. Ideal for those who need to be close to the airport but don’t want a boring and expensive hotel. Ideal hosts who provided accurate details on how to find the property. It’s unavoidable but there was some noise from the work being done on a property in close proximity to the hut. But that is a minor complaint
- Alejandro (9/5): Superb -
- Jacqueline (10/5): Great choice for stays before/after travelling via Gatwick airport - Great location for Gatwick airport stays. Excellent communication from host. Very comfortable and cosy accommodation.
- Anonymous (10/5): Excellent! - Such a perfect little spot for an overnight stay before an early flight. Way better than a Travelodge or similar and worked out cheaper. Beautiful shepherds hut, was really cosy and perfect for two. Enjoyed the planes, and wasn’t too disturbed about the noise, which stopped around 10pm anyway. Didn’t even meet the hosts, but their communication was excellent including access to the property and planning for check in and out. Very friendly dog who was running around the multiple fields and buildings. Great location and great facilities. Loved the little touches of cereal and coffee etc available. Was about 10mins from here to Gatwick’s long stay car park. Might be a squeeze for 4 people…but would be great for a family if 4 with small kids
- Martin (10/5): Hidden gem - The hut was superb immaculately clean and very comfortable Laura is a perfect host and the Hut was equipped with everything we need including fresh fruit, milk and butter. It is ideal for Gatwick Airport 10 mi note drive away. Can't recommend it highly enough. Two very friendly dogs on site to keep you company! There is some aircraft noise as you would expect being near to the airport but this does not detract in any way from the accommodation. The hut is well soundproofed so the noise isn't intrusive
- Priscilla (9/5): Lovely stay in hut - Very clean, good for our stay, peaceful location Planes overhead so early but that is not a fault of the property.
- Richard (9/5): Superb - Very Comfortable and ‘remote’
- Jeremy (10/5): Exceptional -
- O'briain (10/5): Comfortable and relaxed - Very handy for Gatwick airport
Quiet and comfortable
Great facilities
Would recommend Airport noise but what can you do. It's beside an airport 🤔
- Steven (8/5): Relaxing -
- Christina (10/5): Exceptional - The Gatwick Hideaway Hut is a very private shepherd's hut located along a privated gated drive, very conveniently located 10 minutes from Gatwick Airport. It's an immaculately furnished, super-modern place to stay. We loved the attention to detail, from the porthole window in the bathroom and beautifully designed hand sink, to the love-seat out the front from which you can watch the planes (loudly) fly past every two minutes or so until about 10:00pm (you are directly under a flight path but we loved that!). The Wi-Fi was excellent, the shower was hot and a small amount of tea, coffee, cereal, fruit and milk had been left for us on arrival, which was extremely helpful. The hosts were very friendly and communicated in a timely fashion prior to our arrival. They said it would be possible to arrange to leave the car on site for our next stay (presumably/reasonably for a fee?) it we wanted to leave it whilst on holiday. For dinner, look no further the The Half Moon pub, situated a ten minute walk away in the village; it served great food and a couple of real ales. There is another gastro-pub in the village. The hut does sleep four in two double beds so is ideal for an overnight stop before jetting away. It would work for a family of four if your kids didn't mind sharing a bed. For more private stays, it's probably better for just a single couple as the hut (entirely constructed by one of our hosts in the barn opposite to a very high spec) is by it's very nature, quite small and compact! The hosts have two large dogs who roam the lawn area in front of the hut some of the time, but they weren't in the slightest intimidating. One final thing... the cutlery is located in what is almost a secret drawer to the left of the sink - it's a drawer within a draw!
- William (10/5): Business stay - Had brilliant stay, very well equipped hut, 2 dogs, magic, will definitely stay again when in area
- Robert (10/5): Hideaway - We liked the unique features that the Hideaway Hut offered.
Breakfast outside with amazing views.
Excellent way of entering the drive via a wooden gate that operates with a phone... nice touch. Nothing at all!!!
- Adam (10/5): Excellent stay. We would stay here in the future. - It’s was very clean and loved the decor. It was in a private and peaceful spot. Had more room than we thought, as we were a group of 4 adults. There were two friendly dogs on arrival. Beds were really comfy and shower was good and hot. We walked to the local greyhound pub for food and it was excellent food and service. You can hear the planes a bit early in the morning but we had ear plugs so it was fine.
- Penny (10/5): Gatwick Hideaway Hut is very comfortable and spotlessly clean. - Perfectly located for Gatwick airport Nothing
- Bilaal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (9/5): Great place to stay for a night. Great access to Gatwick. Much nicer than an airport hotel. - Lovely little quirky property. Perfect for Gatwick airport. Laura was a lovely host. The chemical toilet was a bit smelly.
- Cress (10/5): Exceptional -
- Liaqat (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gareth (8/5): Loved it enjoyed the hut really nice looked after and cosy. - Was such lovely place, clean tidy comfy really good stay and will be goin back. Right next to airport so loud planes late and early didnt sleep well.
- Maria (8/5): The cabin was nice and clean although the mattress and sheets could have been better - The property was nice and clean. I could not figure out how to get the gate open. I spent 10 minutes trying to figure out how on in earth to open the gate so that I could drive away and catch my plane without having to call ppl that early.
- Lynne (10/5): Our little stay - The hut was just awesome. There were 4 of us, and we had the best time. So Clean and comfortable. Definitely recommend staying here
- Peter (10/5): Super! - Small but perfectly formed. Loved our night here, the hut has been done beautifully inside with everything you could possibly need! Perhaps this is obvious based on location, but the planes from Gatwick airport are quite loud.
- Neil (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful property.. Beautifully presented. Felt like I was the first one staying there. It was immaculate
- Karen (10/5): Wonderfully comfortable and carefully considered with everything you could p possibly need at hand - The hideaway is absolutely wonderful. If I could go higher with the smiley faces I would. Laura the host is really helpful and made everything just beautiful. The shepherds hut was spotless and has been beautifully equipped with everything you could possibly need, and decorated with style and great design. Hope very much to return!
