- Bas (7/5): Prima!

- Janice (10/5): A comfortable stay in a beautiful villa in a perfect location. - The location is perfect for exploring Sintra and taking the train into the heart of Lisbon. The villa is beautiful and Maria, the owner, very hospitable and helpful. We loved the peaceful 'salon' with comfortable seating and free tea and coffee and also appreciated the complimentary pastries on our last morning.
- Alex_Kad88 (9/5): - Great host
Coffee machine in the common area
Nice location with option to park your car (street parking)

- Aylin (10/5): Sehr erholsam!
- Kameel (10/5): Warm, welcoming. when can I book again? Thank you. - Great location, great value, beautifully designed home. Maria took care of my every need, she was a gracious host making me feel very welcome, like I was visiting “Nona’s beautiful home”. No complaints.
- Jane (10/5): - Our host was so lovely. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome in her home. There was a communal area for making tea and coffee. It was a short 10 min walk to the centre of Sintra.
- Tim (9/5): Lovely few days to relax. - Great lounge area and coffee machine. Quiet location. Lovely garden.
- Domingo (10/5): - Bien ubicada
- Joel (9/5): Excellent beginning to our Portugal vacation tour. Maria and her Villa has set the bar very high for all other locations - The property is perfectly located in proximity of the train station to Lisbon and the three chateaux in Sintra. The room was cozy and very welcoming. Nearby is a wonderful cafe with local pastries
- Jessica (10/5): A home away from home - Very pretty property, comfortable and in a quiet part of town but close enough to walk in easily every morning/ evening. It was easier and quicker to walk to Quinta da Regaleira palace than use transport! Maria was so welcoming and kind, giving great advice for local breakfast places that we probably would’ve overlooked otherwise. Room was very comfortable, especially the bed, and drinks facilities were very handy. Nothing, it was gorgeous. There was no fridge in the room but we didn’t miss this.

- Carolyn (9/5): - While the room was a bit small, it was very comfortably appointed and the sitting area and table with chairs just outside the room was lovely. The gardens were beautiful. The host was very helpful in all respects.
- Sarah (10/5): Great stay definitely will come back an stay again - The feeling of relaxation from the minute you arrive. The views from all windows. Loved the cleanliness, the comfortable beds, our helpful and friendly host Maria❤️ The stairs were beautiful but our luggage too heavy

- Bruce (9/5): Lovely room in a beautiful traditional villa with a gorgeous garden. - The property was located on the outskirts of town on a quiet street. On street parking was available outside.
Our host made us most welcome and allowed our early check in.
Our room was comfortable and clean.
There were shared drinks facilities in a small sitting room and our host left lovely sweet treats on our last morning. 🙂 Not suitable for anyone with mobility issues are there are quite a few steps you need to navigate to locate your room.
- James (10/5): Exceptional - host was very nice and friendly, place was beautiful and clean, location was great for all sintra main attractions. Sintra closes early so a mini fridge would be very helpful.
- Karen (9/5): Beautiful guesthouse in tranquil location - Spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. It was a quiet & peaceful retreat on the outskirts of the historic centre. The bedlinen was beautiful and our lovely hostess left us a little surprise that we were excited to find each morning. It was a little further from the town centre than we expected but street parking was free and available.
- Donna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Morgan (9/5): Peaceful stay in a great location - Beautiful house with wonderful gardens. Comfortable bed and clean. N/a
- Sunita (10/5): Cozy home away from home - It felt like we were staying in Home away from home. The host, Maria & her brother were very warm and hospitable. The location was walkable distance to center and points of interest. Parking is challenging, however Maria helped us park in front of the house. It would be nice to get breakfast on site, but not a show stopper.
- Jeff (9/5): Superb -
- Gita (6/5): Pleasant -
- Kathleen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicole (9/5): A wonderful experience in this home and in this beautiful town - It’s a beautiful place and we were welcomed like old friends Nothing! Everything is lovely!
- Wenxiu (10/5): Exceptional - This was the most satisfying stay during the entire trip. The house is a standalone property with the host living on the first floor. It's evident that the place has been meticulously decorated and maintained, exuding a sense of refinement in every detail, whether it's the living room, the beverages, the rooms, or the toiletries. It truly feels like coming home. Plus, the nearby breakfast spot, Pastelaria Gregorio, offers a wide variety of choices.
- Yael (9/5): Superb - The accomodation was great, very quiet and serene, and inside a beautiful villa. The host was very friendly and helpful and checked us in smoothly. The room itself was compact but beautifully decorated.
There was plenty of street parking.
Overall, we would recommend this place! There was a bit of a musty smell in the hallway but fortunately it didn't affect the room itself.
Also, there wasn't much lighting in the room but since we basically only used the room to shower and sleep it didn't really bother us.
- Branca (8/5): Lovely! - The location, the cleanliness and the host
- Amy (8/5): Comfortable and easy walk to all sights. - Very clean. Pretty room with comfy bed and nice shutters. Good location. Small bathroom. No outdoor space for guests.
- Koenraad (10/5): Stylish stay in Sintra - Stylish villa with charm. Nicely decorated rooms and good bedding. 24/7 coffee or tea in a sitting room. Location is convenient. Maria was an amazing host, we missed her when checking out, she called us later that day to check if we had enjoyed the stay. 2 minutes walk to Pastelaria Gregório for breakfast. And have dinner at A Reposa superb food at a beautiful restaurant. Only 10 minutes walk from the villa.
- Kristy (10/5): A beautiful house in a great location. - The accommodation is very unique and beautiful. Nothing
- Amy (9/5): Superb -
- Annabelle (10/5): Fabulous in every way! - Go through the gates and you enter tranquility!
Within a 10 minute walk you can be in the historic centre and is ideal location to explore Sintra from. There’s on street parking, amazing coffee and Maria is so warm and welcoming and the most fantastic host! Nothing - couldn’t fault a thing.
- Jane (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (7/5): Good -
- Liz (8/5): A lovely clean, well decorated, peaceful and comfortable Villa. - The living area where you can make tea and coffee, with comfy chairs.
The decor and styling.
The peaceful atmosphere
The host Maria was very helpful and kind
The location was good, not in the busiest area, but not too far to walk to a good restaurant. The internet... I couldn't get the password to work.
- Martin (9/5): Dreamlike villa in magical town - The place feels like a gorgeous old villa in the middle of this magical city. Maria, the host, was so kind and very attentive to questions and inquiries. The recommendation to grab breakfast at Gregorios, was the best Google maps shows a very steep and difficult way to reach the place, make sure to reach to the property first so they give the better route
- Lia (8/5): A lovely room in a beautiful town. - The room was just beautiful, very light and airy. We were only a street away from the main area of Sintra, so it was quiet at night, and our host was kind and accomodating. The shower was a little small, but this is not really a reflection on the property; it's a converted old house, so it's to be expected. Don't let that put you off booking!
- Gitikat (10/5): Very lovely - Beautiful place, very tastefully done. Coffee machine and communal lounge.Maria is lovely and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay. There's no Internet connection in the room, but in the lounge it's fine. Maria is working on it.
- Jon (8/5): Very good -
- Mark (9/5): Superb -
- Areege (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): Beautiful Retreat in Sintra - We loved our room at Villa Branca! It was well equipped and the house is beautiful with an enclosed garden all the way around. It was very charming and well cared for. There was also a room at the top of the stairs for guests to make coffee and tea and sit there and relax as well. The owner Maria, was super friendly and offered great suggestions for restaurants and things to do. She was also very responsive to questions that we had as well. Without hesitation, we would stay here again if we were in Sintra!
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): We would stay there again if we would visit Sintra. - Our flight was late and we arrived at an ungodly time after midnight but Maria welcomed us warmly! Her villa was beautiful and wellkept. Nothing negative
- Hiromi (9/5): Charming and quiet accommodation near the train station with a friendly host - The accommodation was well located near the train station within walking distance. It was in a residential area. The property has a nice front yard with lovely flowers. The room was very quiet and clean. The host was very welcoming and gave us good information on Sintra and the surrounding area. She explained how to use the espresso machine in the common area and how to lock the room and the front door. The check-in is from 4:30. She allowed us to drop off the luggage and check in earlier at the same time, which helped us great deal. The locking/opening the front door was a little difficult at sometimes. The host advised us to shut the shower door very tightly so that the water would not flood the floor, which made us a bit nervous about taking a shower. But it was a minor issue. We stayed in the Superior Twin Room with Private Bathroom (see photo #7) which had a side chair near the bathroom. Be careful not to bump into the chair when you go to the bathroom in the dark during the night. We were the only guests for most of our stay. The hallway has a wooden floor shared with the other rooms on both sides. If there had been other guests, we would have to be very mindful of other guests. These were all minor issues for us.
- Evert (10/5): Well located, reasonable priced and friendly service. - Villa Branca Jacinta is well located to visit the various attractions in Sintra. Besides a bedroom with private shower, the facility offers a common sitting area with free coffee and tea. Breakfast is not included, but a small, cozy, very good and reasonable priced breakfast restaurant is located within 2 minutes walking. The facilities are clean and the owner is very pleasant and will give good tips regarding where to eat and what to visit. We highly recommend Villa Branca Jacinta for a place to stay while visiting Sintra. There is no elevator in this facility. Hence it requires a bit of lifting your luggage to get to your room.
- Cyndy (9/5): Superb - Very clean. Coffee and tea offered all day. Extremely helpful and friendly hostess. If you have issues with stairs, this is not the place to stay.
- Victoria (10/5): Lovely stay in beautiful old Villa - The Villa is beautiful, and the host was very nice and welcoming! The room was clean, bathroom well equipped with hairdryer, shampoo etc.
Its located very close to Sintra train station and around 15 min by foot to the Sintra old town. We found a parking spot right in front of the house.
Free coffe and tea was availabe all day. Nothing, all great!
- Christelle (8/5): Very good -
- Adriana (9/5): Superb -
- Paz (10/5): Exceptional -
- גילי (9/5): Superb - Maria was kind and the rooms were clean and spacious. Too many stairs to get to the rooms with luggage...
- Douglas (9/5): Beautiful choice, stay here. - Beautiful house literally minutes walk into Sintra. Situated on a quiet street where you don’t hear a sound with the windows open. Maria is as charming as her house. There’s a bit of schlepping involved to get your bags from car to room.
- Lei (8/5): Very good - The location is good. It will be nice if breakfast service is provided.
- Elina (9/5): Superb - Beautiful villa and the location is great considering public transport. Room was beautiful and clean🌸
- Gerum (10/5): Amazing stay, beautiful villa and great location. - The villa was beautiful, the decor was sophisticated and fitted in with the beautiful town of Sintra. Everything was clean and immaculate. Amazing location close to the train station and town. Maria the host, was very welcoming and made our stay very special. We look forward to coming back.
