• Karin (10/5): Worth a stay - Beautiful cottage with everything you need for a couple of days. We enjoyed the soft cosy bed, the fireplace & generous wood supply, and the kitchen for cooking breakfast. Showers lack water pressure, but it was a minor niggle.
• Len (7/5): Interesting house - Sunset Sky is a refined and architecturally pleasing retro home that would make a fine residence. We found it comfortable enough for a 2 night winter stay, but feel it is not ideally suited to short term visitor accommodation. We have rated it as a 7, i.e. good, but that is mainly for the ambience of the lovely house rather than attention to detail for guests needs. This property has a difficult steep drive-way, hard to keep clean white carpeted floors, and average TV reception that dropped out quite frequently while we were there. There is no information compendium for guests, and there is no bar.b.que. The property was also the most poorly equipped that we have come across for guest supplies, e.g. kitchen staples and no shampoo/conditioner in the bathroom. Perhaps we were not there at the right time of the year to capture a "sunset sky" but we also found the location not to be particularly convenient for walking around Strahan.

• Jane (10/5): We loved this property. So warm, quiet, comfortable and relaxing. - The location was great. No provided breakfast, we organised our own meal. The property was quiet. Combustion fire made it very warm. Well appointed kitchen.
• Kathy (8/5): Enjoyed our stay - big, nice and clean. - The house was spacious and had 2 bathrooms which was great. The kitchen had all that we needed. The many rooms were great as you could spread out. The washing machine and dryer were in a bathroom. The dryer needs to be ventilated as it steams the bathroom up and does not work to its full capacity. There is a big mud room, would be great to use this space as the laundry if possible.
• Shelley (7/5): Good - The location was lovely and the hosts were fantastic. Jade was very quick to respond to our concern. The communication was great. Loved the sitting room area and it was nice to have a fireplace in the living room to use on the cold nights. The fairy lights along the front porch were a nice touch. The bedsheets were not cleaned, however this was addressed and resolved during our stay. The softening of the floor by the fridge was a safety hazard for the family members with mobility difficulties travelling with me. We placed a basket on the floor by the fridge door to ensure that nobody stepped there. The oven didn’t cook our food. It didn’t seem to heat properly. The second bedroom had an unpleasant scent to it.
• Belinda (8/5): Retro style accomodation and great value for money! - A very spacious and well set out cottage with a beautiful little fireplace! Value for money and a definite retro feel. Very comfortable beds and clean. The kitchen was large and well appointed. An older style feel which we thought very cute!

• Tracey (9/5): Super Stay at Sunset Sky! - We thought the location was fabulous. Close to everything that we needed. Lots of room for us to spread out and cook our own meals etc. Loved the furniture and soft furnishings…..simple and elegant. There were a few things that needed attention. Shower door seal in ensuite and the couches had food crumbs on them. Not major issues at all.

Fireplace was well used in the cosy lounge room. Very special home for those who want a home away from home! All good. Had a great stay in Strahan. Liked everything!
