Guest Reviews
- Dean (10/5): Exceptional -
- Graham (10/5): A decent stay; great facilities (oven, 4 ring hob, microwave) for self-catering. 10/10! - The location is ideal for my visits to family in north and east Bristol. I/we will surely book again in the future.
The road noise was minimal and no concern. My only negative is the the front door is exceptionally difficult to lock, from the inside and on exit. The latch does not easily engage into the receiver slot. This could be that the door has warped.
- Faye (8/5): Very good -
- Barron (9/5): Superb -
- Simon (4/5): It was Baltic! - Clean, good facilities It was freezing! The host needs to put the heating on before the guest arrives.
- Elliott (10/5): Exceptional -
- Waugh (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely perfect for our stay. Cosy with everything we needed.
- Sarah (10/5): Very clean and great for Bristol - Great location; close to M4. Extremely clean and very well equipped. Very comfortable bed. The Annexe is to the left of the main house as you are looking at it.
- Nadire (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (9/5): Fantastic home away from home - Such a cozy little spot. Well equipped with everything you could need and a great kitchen given the overall size. Claire the host was also very helpful. Thoroughly recommended
- Ellie (10/5): Lovely place - clean and good ammenities! - Lovely place to stay! The bed was incredibly comfortable and the whole place was very clean. Good facilities including shower and kitchen appliances. The instructions were helpful, however, despite the instructions it was still rather difficult to find the correct entrance!Otherwise, everything was great.
- Rona (8/5): Perfectly met our needs for our brief stay. - perfect for party at Winterbourne Medieval Barn. Supplied milk, coffee and tea which satisfied our needs as we had taken breakfast. Access and parking a little tricky but host explained what to do to make it easier. Traffic quite noisy at night.
- Jody (7/5): Good -
- Mark (10/5): Very convenient for my meeting in Bristol and such great value compared to the usual hotel suspects. - Was lovely to have my own little home when away overnight on business. 100% would stay again

- Lisa (10/5): Cosy and private for a relaxing short break - The Annexe was cosy and well equipped. We really appreciated the fresh milk and teabags being available in the property after a long drive, nice touch.
It was generally cosy and clean, with a lovely outside area to use if the weather is nice. NA

- Ray (10/5): An absolutely exceptional home away from home experience. - The annexe is an absolutely exceptional place to stay. We stay in a lot of places and hands down this is the best place we’ve ever slept! The bed is supremely comfortable - the curtains and blinds do an exceptional job of blocking out light in the morning, and the entire place is lovely, and a true home from home. The amenities - lovely towels, great selection of teas and coffee etc - it’s just a brilliant place for a break. We loved it! N/A

Ample space for single travellers and couples. Incredibly comfy bed, well equipped kitchen with everything you need. Lawned garden that catches the sun all day.
Local footpaths to plenty of nearby green spaces for explorations. Its easy to forget its easy convenient location to the m4 and transport connections. Immaculately clean and great finish. will be back. thanks.

- Matt (9/5): Great place, everything you might need, good space. Had a high-end cottage feel. Nice location. - Location was really good for my work trip, close to Bristol Parkway. The Annex was very clean and had character, like a high end cottage! Good space and well equipped kitchen. A little close to the road, with some noise.
- Joanne (9/5): Superb - Clean and comfortable and ideal for a couple . Claire was very helpful when it was going to be a late arrival going in to put a light on for us and responding promptly to messages .
- Jeremy (10/5): A cosy, comfortable stay in a lovely self-contained annexe - top quality! - A lovely place to stay - very comfortable and furnished with everything you need for a stay. Everything was top quality from the tea bags to the towels! I was here for work, but would love to return with my partner for a weekend stay. One evening I walked up to the little village and enjoyed a refreshing pint in the George & Dragon. The Annexe is highly recommended. Little bit of road noise at peak hours, but not a problem really. Everything else was perfect - no complaints.
- Mark (7/5): Good -
- Colin (9/5): Excellent. - The lovely thought to provide milk in the fridge and chocolates on the bed! The access was a little tricky but I had been pre-warned so no real problem
- Mark (9/5): Expect to use this property again - Very comfortable and cosy, no problems parking on what looks like new gravelled entrance, ideal location for us
- Lynn (10/5): Exceptional -

- Angela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (10/5): Fantastic Place to stay - This place is one of the best of the apartment rooms I have stayed in. Spacious and very well appointed easy to find, easy to park.. I stayed one night, but you would be very comfortable here for longer stays... nothing but 100% recommended.
- Kerry (8/5): A compact & bijou but adorable annex to a 300 year old cottage which is cosy & comfortable - A lovely little annexe to a 300 year old cottage, with all amenities that you would need. Access to the drive is tricky the front door had swollen due to all the rain we’ve had recently but the hosts were very obliging & helpful.
- Emily (10/5): Exceptional -
- Caroline (8/5): Very good - Spotlessly clean, perfect for visiting family in Winterbourne, cosy little apartment. Well decorated and with everything we needed for our stay.
- Denise (9/5): This is a lovely place to stay and I would stay again. - I was sent comprehensive and clear information about the location, and how to access the property including photos; plus a phone number for any issues. The heater was switched on for my arrival and a pint of milk was left in the fridge along with tea and coffee plus a couple of biscuits. This was a welcome touch. The property was spotlessly clean and well equiped. I would happily stay there again.
- Rob (10/5): Exceptional - A lovely well equipped cottage / annex in a good location for visiting Bristol & South Gloucestershire. Winterbourne is a 10 min walk or 2 min drive away with some good shops, restaurants and pubs. The owners were on hand and helpful with any queries. The turn into the parking is quite tricky, but fine if you take on board the advice of the owners. I parked my vw transporter next to the annex and there was enough space to turn it around to drive out.
- Stephen (9/5): Perfect for what we needed - Efficient host. Very clean and comfortable. We'll equipped.
- Joshua (7/5): Good -
- Leanne (5/5): Passable - The property has all the amenities you could wish for and was clean. The property did not have adequate heating. The radiators did not work and due to the time of year (mid November) the temporary electric radiators did not heat the property sufficiently for it to be comfortable to stay in. I would not return on that basis.
- Liz (8/5): Very good -
- Jo (9/5): Superb - Exceptionally clean, well presented, everything you could need. Nice little touches. Parking is tight and could be improved, this would make a huge difference.
- Iano (10/5): Beautiful, well decorated cottage. Highly recommended. - Beautiful upgraded cottage. We loved the decor. The cottage has everything you need for self catering. Neat and tidy. Parking right in front of the cottage is excellent and plenty of space. The host was very friendly and accommodating. We have travelled around the UK for 6 weeks, The Annexe was the last place we stayed in before our flight back to our country and this was one of our favourites. Will without a doubt stay here again and surely for more than just one night!
- Liz (8/5): Very good -
- Stuart (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lizzie (10/5): Excellent accommodation with lovely finishing touches - Clean, modern and comfortable. Nothing to moan about
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -

- Stuart (10/5): Thank you -
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Liz (10/5): Perfect - Everything, clean, stylish, comfortable, right temperature, smelled clean, good kitchen, small personal touches. nothing
- Melanie (10/5): Exceptional - A little tricky to park as my husband drives a large van but ample parking space and instructions were given by the host before arrival on how best to tackle the entrance. Lovely apartment. Having fresh milk in the fridge is a nice touch and my husband had a very comfortable nights sleep.
- Jane (9/5): most enjoyable - NOTHING
- Robert (8/5): Nothing is perfect and we enjoyed our stay. - The location of the property was close to Bristol and the Cotswolds, which was where we planned to have daily trips. The property did have the facilities for the 4 nights we stayed at the property. The bed was comfortable and the WiFi was very good. The bathroom was good although there was no hanging space for the wet towels. There was a heated towel rack but it was not turned on until the last day. There was adequate space in the wardrobe to hang clothes, although more hangers would have been good. Generally, we enjoyed our stay, although there were some issues; see below. Our main issue with the property was the entrance and exit into the property, which was very tight. The property was on a very busy road and you had to be very careful on entry and exit. Our car was a medium-sized SUV rental. To be safe you should enter the property from the left lane, coming down from the small shopping centre. Backing in was not a safe option for us, given the volume of the traffic on the road. To exit the property, backing out was not an option either for us. We had to turn our car in a very small space, so we could drive out, not back out of the property. The parking area was very muddy, although, we were informed that the area was going to be resurfaced.
- Yoganand (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (8/5): Ideal place to stay, close to a pub and easily accessible. - Well appointed, super clean and homely little cottage, the host provides everything you could possibly need, and it all new and well thought out. The only slight negative is the road noise, but the hosts do supply earplugs if you think you’ll need them, but the traffic does reduce at night.
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional - Everything, hosts were very obliging, got us into cottage early so we could attend wedding nearby early. All good.
- Eleanor (10/5): Very cosy and well kitted out annexe - cosy n clean, thank you! little coffee table may be useful but the chairs could be used to place coasters on
- Darine (8/5): Very good -
- Olivia (9/5): A beautifully equipped and lovely place to stay. - The location was excellent. It was beautifully clean and well equipped. Just what we needed for a lovely overnight stay. The owner was really helpful with instructions. The entrance off the main road is quite tight
- Georgie (10/5): Wonderful place to stay! - Absolutely everything was perfect! Exceptionally clean, beautifully decorated, very comfortable bed and the towels and linen smelt amazing! Lovely little touches like milk in the fridge and spare supplies like a comb under the sink (I forgot my hairbrush so this was a wonderful added extra). Couldn't fault a thing. Located very close to a main road so a little noisy in the morning
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
