• Susan Philippa (10/5): - Staying here was extremely comfortable, and we feel very lucky to have found this place. We stayed 4 nights but would have liked to have stayed for longer if only we had had the time! The host is very accommodating and frienfly. and helped us with booking a scooter, and getting assistance on other issues such as a VISA issue. We also had a very delicious meal in the evening cooked at the property, which I would definitely recommend. Highly recommend for all of the above but also the location would be hard to beat. The view from rooms really is amazing.

Начнем с того, когда я ехала на трансфере до этого отеля, там есть дорога выше в горы, которая сходит с трассы и хозяин меня встретил на тук-тук. Когда я заехала номер был чистый, хозяин приветливый, даже слишком. Хозяин приготовил поужинать, сидели болтали, были странные предложения, что смутило. На счет чистоты номера, он был чистым только в 1 день, потом из-за количества живности пол превратился грязь. Кто ко мне только не полз, жуки, пауки, пиявка которая укусила в руку. 🥺 Взяла с собой фумигатор, репеллент - не помогло. Кроме того, не все таксисты вечером будут везти вас по этой дороге, будьте к этому готовы, а в полнейшей темноте идти страшно. 😧 Не знаю есть ли в Элле номера без насекомых, но что я испытала здесь - было мягко сказать неприятно. В конце, когда я выезжала за мной так же приехал трансфер я попросила хозяина спустить меня с дороги в горах, он сказал да. В итоге отдал меня своему знакомому на тук-тук и взял 200 рупий. Мелочь конечно, но оставило неприятный отпечаток.

• Ankita (10/5): - If you are visiting Ella, this place is a must. The stay at Ella Mountain Palace felt surreal; waking up to those amazing views was a highlight of our trip. It is very quiet and peaceful, which we really appreciated. A huge thanks to our host for being so friendly and helpful. My mother and I had a fantastic stay!

Het uitzicht kan je dagen lang van genieten, en het is heerlijk rustig. De eigenaar Prassad staat altijd voor je klaar voor eventuele hulp. Ik raad aan een scooter te huren, dan is het nog makkelijker de prachtige omgeving te verkennen! Niks

• Arne (9/5): - Die Aussicht ist phänomenal. Hinzu kommt, dass Prasad ein top Host ist und sich um alles kümmert. Er ist immer erreichbar und gibt gute Tips. Das Frühstück war auch sehr lecker und man konnte hier auch die Wäsche machen lassen sowie Scooter mieten. Die Hängematte lädt zum entspannen ein. Man muss damit rechnen, dass man teilweise Gekos im Zimmer hat. Das ist vermutlich normal für die Unterkünfte dort. Prasad kümmert sich aber darum, sollte man sich gestört fühlen.

• Bethany (10/5): - Prasad was an amazing host, breakfast was incredible everyday. The view from the property is so beautiful, you can see little Adams peak and Ella rock out front and watch sunrise/sunset! It's a little out of town, really in nature, lots of birds and deer nearby, at night the trees are full of fireflies. I would recommend staying here rather than in the town if you are here for nature. It's about a 10 mins drive from the town, we rented a scooter so that was no problem, but Prasad will even give you lifts sometimes in his car or arrange tuk tuks for you. Prasad will also help you arrange anything you want to do from activities to transport. My favourite place I stayed in Sri Lanka!
• Katarína (10/5): Peaceful stay with beautiful views and truly warm hospitality - We absolutely loved our stay here, mainly thanks to the incredibly kind and genuine host Prasad, who was always helpful and welcoming. One evening it was raining heavily and he even went out on his scooter to pick up food for us, which we really appreciated. The accommodation is located about 5 km from Ella town, but we actually loved the peaceful atmosphere because of it. The sunset views of Little Adam’s Peak and Ella Rock are beautiful, and you can start a lovely walk right from the property through tea plantations, away from the busy tourist paths. The room was simple, as is common in homestays, but perfectly sufficient even for a longer stay. The breakfasts were also excellent and a great start to the day.

• Lea (10/5): - Der Host der Unterkunft war unfassbar freundlich und aufmerksam. Er hat uns abgeholt, uns einen Roller bereitgestellt und sein Nachbar hat uns zum Bahnhof am Ende gebracht. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Ohne Roller ist es schwer Unternehmungen zu machen, weil man ungefähr 10 min mit dem Roller von Ella entfernt ist.

• Katharina (9/5): Tolle Unterkunft mit sehr schönem Ausblick - Die Lage mit dem Ausblick war sehr schön! Mit dem Roller braucht man ca. 10 Minuten ins Zentrum. Die Unterkunft ist geräumig und das Bad ist groß. Die Kommunikation war sehr freundlich, unkompliziert und schnell. Das Badezimmer war nach dem Duschen sehr feucht und ist schlecht getrocknet. Ein Badvorleger für die Füße wäre hilfreich.

• Mehul (10/5): Best in Ella - Amazing place to stay and the care taker prasad is super helpful with everything. We came here for pur honeymoon without much plan. He took care of us and helped us to visit all the places with his own vehicle. Great view and away from the Ella traffic and noise. Amazing view from the balcony as well.

Ns avons pris une chambre olus chère car celles du rez-de-chaussée sont fort vieilles. Les nouvelles sont impeccables

• Fred (7/5): Overall a basic but very enjoyable experience with an amazing view and a wonderful host - We really enjoyed our stay at this homestay. The location is absolutely beautiful, though a bit remote. The rooms are very spacious and there is a nice hot shower. The host was very friendly and helpful. He was always willing to pick us up or drop us at a place with his tuktuk Every morning we had a tasty breakfast. Overall, a basic but very enjoyable stay! We would have appreciated a few more basic amenities such as soap, shampoo, and an additional bin in the room. Wifi was not working.

The room was really simple. We appreciated a lot to stay outside Ella enjoying the silence of the mountain instead the city’s noise The cleaning was not really good

His cooking is also amazing, both for breakfast as for dinner, we tasted delicious sri lankan dishes. The view is really beautiful. He told us what to do in the area, about Sri Lanka… We had a wonderful stay at Ella Mountain Palace! It’s located close to Ella but far enough to escape the town’s crowd after a long day. We also met Prasad’s cute dog and cat :)
• Loes (9/5): Beautiful calm stay in the mountains of Ella - Really nice stay with Prasad. The accommodation is located beautifully in the mountains 15 min away from Ella. You can see little adam’s peak and Ella mountain from the accommodation. The breakfast and diner are really nice. Prasad let’s you choose and so we tasted some new Sri Lankan dishes. Prasad is super helpful and knows a lot about the activities in the area.
• Cynthia (10/5): Warm Hospitality & Tranquility – A Hidden Gem! - If you're looking for a peaceful place away from the tourist crowds in Ella, Mountain Palace is the perfect choice. During our three-week trip through Sri Lanka, my husband and I had the pleasure of meeting the most wonderful and caring hosts here. Our fantastic host, Prasad, runs the accommodation with the support of his lovely mother, and both took such great care of us that we felt truly at home. The accommodation was spotless, and we didn’t miss a thing during our stay. Everything was well taken care of, and even the WiFi worked perfectly. Getting to the center of Ella (about five kilometers away) and exploring the surrounding area was easy with the scooter that Prasad arranged for us at a top rate. While Ella's center, despite its small size, felt quite touristy for our taste, we were incredibly grateful to have a quiet and relaxing retreat with Prasad’s family. We enjoyed delicious local dinners here every evening and started each day with a fantastic breakfast, which was included in the already very affordable room rate. An absolute recommendation! Dear Prasad, thank you so much for everything!
• Sharon (10/5): Exceptional - The view is amazing and there is a very nice garden, you can take beautiful hikes straight from the room. it is very quiet, but still you are 13 minutes from Ella. Prasad the owner recommended places to go and drove us everywhere. We even ordered dinner from him with traditional food and it was great.
• Grace (10/5): Absolutely amazing, if you’re thinking about booking here, just do it, you won’t be disappointed! - Everything, this is the best property we have stayed in since being in Sri Lanka. The room is enormous and so is the bathroom, and the shower has hot water (takes a second to come through, but it does work!) The bed is comfy and enormous, there’s big windows so you can see the view and curtains when you want to lie in. The host is so kind, he saw us coming back on our scooters soaking wet one evening and came with hot tea to warm us up. Prasad really is a fantastic host, we were sad saying goodbye, it feels like home not a hotel. The views are just incredible and you can enjoy them from the hammock just outside the room. You can see Little Adam’s Peak perfectly, the rice fields below and the amount of wildlife is just outstanding. I honestly cannot recommend this place enough, in fact we thought we’d try another hotel in another area, stayed in the room for about twenty minutes then drove straight back to Prasad’s! We only planned to stay one night in Ella and stayed four! Nothing, there is nothing to dislike.

• Apoorwa (9/5): Beautiful place and great value for the price - Prasad is really friendly and available all the the time for help. The views are very pretty from the little garden outside the rooms, even better when there's no fog. Rooms are spacious and clean. It's about 5 kilometres from the city, perfect for those looking for peace and quite away from the traffic and other noises. Prasad has lots of pretty and useful flowers and plants, a friendly dog and a cat. We also saw many different kinds of birds, and on the last day a monkey happened to visit very briefly:P Not all cars might be able to go all the way up to the house, but the narrow uneven path is only a few hundred meters (300-400 m) and easily walkable, or he can come down to get you and/or your luggage in a tuktuk. On non-sunny days, the "hot water" is only lukewarm so we had to ask Prasad's mother to heat up some water for us on the woodstove for bathing.

• Jesper (10/5): Favourite stay in Sri Lanka so far!! - Our stay at Ella Mountain Palace was amazing! When we asked if our host knew if any place in town to eat a jackfruit curry, he ended up making us a feast (with jackfruit from a tree on the property!) for breakfast! The view from the room is astonishing, and the air is much cleaner than in Ella. The road to the accommodation is adventurous, but we managed it with a tuktuk. But for us, it's not a no-go. The bedsheet was a bit too small for two tall people. These are minor things. The rest was perfect!
