Guest Reviews
- Joseph (8/5): Very pleasant stay, hosts friendly and helpful. Left day early for family issue but enjoyed our time - N/A
- Sil Via Somma (9/5): Cosy and dog friendly - Most comfortable bed I've slept in that wasn't mine.
I went on a very cold March weekend and between the stove, the electric heater, and the bed electric blanket, I had plenty to keep me and my dogs happy and cosy
Thanks to thw wonderful host who had the stove on for my late evening arrivals, and some milk a scones at the ready. Really makes a difference to feel at home from home
Shower was great and water hot
The cabin has all one needs, pit sway so it doesn't look cluttered. But you have toaster, hob, fryer, microwave, kettle, coffee machine... all you need for a great stay
I didn't use the tv as I had books to read but it has internet connection so all can be viewed on it.
Great view out of the window, on a main enough road so easy to find.
Photo of my wee dog on the sofa.
I would definitely be back! The weather
But that's nobody's fault

- Donal (10/5): - Place was lovely, hosts were brilliant. We stayed last month for 3 nights with our dog. Had planned to go explore the local area but the cabin was so nice we hardly went anywhere for the whole time. Plenty of space for the dog to run around, only a couple minutes drive from nearest town. Hosts run a farm and gave us loads of fresh produce, eggs, fruits, veggies, etc.
Would definitely go back and would definitely recommend.
- Wendy (10/5): Exceptional -

- Rachael (5/5): Passable -
- Johnny (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely lovely place so warm and comfy I’ll be back for a longer stay shops and pubs 2 mins from u but the cabin is A1
- Ben (4/5): It has potential but needs better description - Despite our experience, the cabin in itself is beautiful, very nicely decorated, homely feel, nice wee fire, the front little porch is nice to sit at and a beautiful wooden bench that's definitely a highlight and you can get a nice wee picture for memories on it. The cabin has wifi access although a little slow as there's no good signal, and access to all TV channels, netflix etc. We had a fire put on for us before our arrival, and a bit of milk, butter, and some buns in the fridge. This place has potential. We've met with quite a few inconveniences, and some were caused by poor representation of the property. Firstly, the cabin is found in a place surrounded by a couple of old abandoned looking barns and the hosts house. The cabin is not enclosed, neither Is the property so your dog has to be on a leash, and the host has several dogs that kept barking all day and all night, one of them was constantly coming up to our cabin door as it is not enclosed and disturbed our pup. This was our first trip with her as she's 7 months old for a 3h drive and a night in a new place. The barking was disturbing, she had difficulties peeing outside waking us up throughout the night. There was dog poo everywhere on the stones as well, that's the first thing we saw when we arrived. The next thing was the amount of black short and long hairs on every surface, bedding, towels, sinks, counter tops... there was mould in the fridge, air fryer was dirty, some of the utensils were dirty too. Despite low temperature we were relatively comfortable although it was very cold, there were a lot of blankets but despite an electric heater, a small fireplace and extra layers it was cold and it was only 2 degrees outside so idk how cold it would of been if it was middle of winter. The next morning we were met with another inconvenience, the hot water was not working despite turning on the device, shortly there was brown water coming out of all the taps, we couldn't even get properly ready in the morning so it was a really unenjoyable trip to be honest. Ohh and the sink in the kitchen started leaking too. I wish the page was better described and the hot water was just because it wasn't used in a long time but could of maaaybe be prevented if the host took extra steps to prepare the cabin for the guests.
- Shannon (9/5): Superb - Lovely cosy cabin , friendly hosts
- Stephanie (10/5): Exceptional - Very cosy, nice vew. Ideal if you travel with your pet or if you have a wheelchair. We had both and it was perfect.
- Gemma (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the cozy feeling of the cabin. The stove was a fabulous feature ! Christmas tree and decorations added to the beautiful atmosphere. Only regret was not staying longer.
- Justin (10/5): Cosy, comfortable and spotless! - Nice hosts. Cute dog and a lovely location….what more could you need??
- Pa (10/5): Exceptional - Even though our stay here was brief for 1 night.. we we're so glad we booked here.. we had a lovely warm welcome from the host and also a warm welcome in the cabin with a lit stove and scones waiting for us.. it was like a home from home... The message and the gesture left for us when we were leaving was a lovely touch.. would definitely stay here again..
- Gail (10/5): We had a lovely time at the Cabin and nothing was too much trouble for Kim and Trevor. Thanks x - We had a very warm welcome in the Cabin, the log fire was lit and it was like home from home, very clean, comfortable and welcoming. Kim had left us a couple of scones, butter and Jam, which we enjoyed and a very thoughtful gesture. We enjoyed everything, so there were no dislikes.
- Grift (9/5): I stayed two nights Kim was there for me . Many thanks - Is a good place clean and quite 👌. I will say is 95%100 .Good management . I think everything was good 👍
