• Mark (10/5): Wonderful highland site seeing and walking break base - The star hotel is perfect for a trip to the highlands as a base for mountain climbing and site seeing. The staff are very attentive, helpful and all round great people .the rooms are kept spotless and well fitted out , very comfortable beds , housekeeping is second to none . And reception staff are fantastic. The only down side is the rooms to the front of the building face onto kingussies high street so if you need to sleep with the window open you will be disturbed by the crossing beeping and cars accelerating off after the red light for the crossing , the wolf bar downstairs is great but as it is the only worth while bar in the area it gets very busy and can be noisy at weekends so if your room is over that it may also be a disturbance,so if sleeps important as it is to us just ask for one of the rooms at the back when booking . But apart from that it’s great
• Elizabeth (10/5): Danny & Elizabeth - Our 3 night stay at Star Hotel Kingussie was excellent. The hotel throughout was absolutely beautiful. All staff were amazing & made us feel really welcome. The food was spot on & bar/waiting staff were so lovely, friendly & so welcoming of us. We also met so many nice & friendly people whilst socialising in the Wolfe Sports bar. This was our first visit to Kingussie, what a beautiful place to see, we will return in the future for sure. Thank you to the Star Hotel, all staff & all other people we met for making our stay in Kingussie so memorable.

Very pleasant surprise to find such a modern and comfortable hotel in Kingussie. Extremelly good value for money. Excellent shower and nice toiletries and towels etc. Breakfast was very nice and the staff were outstanding. Very lively bar on a Saturday night with plenty of locals present which is always a good sign. Very nice burgers in the bar in the evening and an excellent plate of padron peppers which was also a lovely surprise. Only very slight criticism and that relates to one aspect of Housekeeping - that is the way the beds are made up with the pillows half way down the bed. This meant that the duvet, which was well tucked in at the bottom of the bed, needed dragging up the bed to get properly covered. Like I say - very minor and could easily be improved with a small change to bed making methods - a bit too much style over substance there.

Insbesondere das Personal am Empfang, Restaurant und Frühstück war herzlich und aufmerksam. In der Wolf Sports Bar war es extrem kalt.

• John (10/5): Excellent - We had stopped in 6 hotels on our way around the NC500 and Skye, and this hotel was far and away the best , we were amazed at the quality from top to bottom , a lot of money has been spent on it and it shows , the bedroom and bathroom were high end and the staff couldn’t do enough for us , I would thoroughly recommend this hotel , and would certainly use it again in the future, a credit to all involved.

• junshu (10/5): Best hotels near Newtonmore, Kingussie, and Aviemore - It's very new, so the decor is much better than more expensive hotels in the area and those in the same price range. However, the sheets and pillowcases aren't changed daily; I stayed for three days and it was the same set the whole time. My comforter had a small stain that's been there for the past few days without being changed. The towels were all folded, but I can't be sure if there are any better options. It was so hot! I turned the heater down to 15 degrees Celsius, but it was still very hot, so I had to turn it off and leave the door open. The couple across the hall were also very hot, and they opened their door too. But if the heater isn't on, it gets very cold in the latter half of the night. However, this hotel is still the best overall in the Newtonmore, Aviemore, and Kingussie area.

• Barbara (9/5): Perfect! - A beautiful room, very spacious, lovely furnishings and amazing bathroom. Fresh milk in the mini fridge was perfect. Staff were fantastic. So helpful and friendly. The whole hotel is clean, tidy and very tastefully decorated. It’s a tiny thing and wouldn’t put us off staying again but it would be good to have more than just two breakfast teabags.

• Matthew (8/5): Spotless Rooms, Scenic Location, and a Perfect Breakfast - This was my second visit to the hotel, and once again, it didn’t disappoint. The rooms are modern, comfortable, and absolutely spotless. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touch of a small refrigerator stocked with fresh milk for tea and coffee, such a nice detail. I had a great night’s sleep, with only a bit of traffic noise. The location is ideal for exploring the Cairngorms, and breakfast was lovely, just the right start to the day and fuel for a long day hiking. My only real complaint would be the lack of parking, which made getting my things to my room a bit of a hassle. That said, it wasn’t enough to deter me from staying again, I’d happily return.

Couldn’t get basic channels on TV far too complicated. The very worst thing was being woken at 4am with a drill going and obviously work being done in the building. Thumping noise and selling. The receptionist said there was no work being done in the hotel but there definitely was in that building anyway, we had a really bad nights sleep. It was ridiculous.

• Youngsoo (10/5): Kingussie 지역의 대표적인 호텔 - 작년에 객실 리노베이션을 끝내서 실내 가구와 내부 장식은 모두 깨끗하고 새 것 같았음. 객실 내부는 넓지 않았지만 가구 배치가 효율적으로 되어 있어서 지내기에 쾌적했음. 욕실도 깨끗하고 사용하기에 편했음. 조식은 만족스러웠음. 이 도시의 대표적인 호텔로 보임. 숙소의 식당에서 저녁 식사 시간에 주문한 쇠고기 스테이크는 두께가 1cm 정도로 얇게 썰어져 나와서 medium rare가 겉은 덜 익고 속은 많이 익혀 나왔음.
