Guest Reviews
- Eric (10/5): Spacieux et cuisine bien équipée - Cuisine bien équipée. Spacieux.
- Stephane (10/5): -
- VARVARA (10/5): -
- Aicha (8/5): recommend staying at the Couvent — it's very convenient, clean, and close to all amenities. - The host was very welcoming and upbeat, and he went out of his way to accommodate us.
- Catherine (9/5): -
- Michael (7/5): - Sehr gute Lage, zentral großer Parkplatz. Real war sehr aufmerksam und hilfsbereit.
- alma (5/5): - Bonne localisation.
- Jonah Keri (2/5): Don't stay here. - Well equipped kitchen No visible cleaning staff, basic amenities lacking, uncomfortable, loud
- Marilyn (3/5): Booking.com should ensure that facilities advertise on the site are providing value for fees charged. - The host was friendly and helpful. The room had a view of the river The furnishings were old and well used. The impression on entering the front door was of a sad poorly run long term care facility. The sheets and blankets were old but appeared to be clean. The floor in our room wasn't clean. There was a tiny window in our 4th floor room with 2 tears in the screen and no other source for ventilation. The description on booking . Com gave conflicting information that the washroom facilities were private or shared. There were loud music videos playing in the common space on the main floor with no one there. A Long term resident on our floor was playing LOUD music that reverberated throughout the building and outdoors from the time we arrived till 10:00 pm without a pause. We slept poorly because of the warmth of the room and left the next morning having paid for 2 nights unable to bear another night. We have stayed in hostels many times. This was not the worst place we stayed but greatly over priced in comparison. It should be advertised as a hostel. A fee of $30.00/person/ night would be a fair price and customers would understand what they were getting.
- Chris (5/5): Host was very welcoming. We just didn’t feel relaxed staying there in a shared living complex. If there was a couch and - Interesting historical building No private bathroom
Noise from other people staying there.
Shared living experience and it was advertised but we realized it wasn’t comfortable for us.
- Milad (5/5): Passable - No Key for Room
- Sebastien (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrea (8/5): Very good -
- Ian (9/5): Superb - Friendly. Clean.
- Daniel (9/5): Superb -
- Patricia (9/5): A very unique place, staff very friendly. - Very unique property, kind of like a hostel. Lots of history. Bed was quite narrow.
- Todd (9/5): Superb -
- Inna (6/5): Pleasant -
- Kseniya (8/5): Kind of a cool creepy vibe in a renovated convent! - great location (1 minute from the pier), clean rooms (shared showers / bathrooms with other guests on the floor), very interesting and cool atmosphere! Not a big deal but the sink in our room wasn't working (we were fine with it) and the coffee makers in the kitchens were either broken or had old moldy coffee grounds in it. However there was a keurig available to use instead
- Anonymous (6/5): Cosy - So clean, the duvet so soft and smell good. Feel like sleeping in your own bed at home. The shared bathroom and toilet are plenty and easy to find. The place looks so neat and very high ceiling. I love it. Bare minimum, no TV, no AC, the sign was so dark hard to find at night. The staff speak no English, please be prepared with your French.
- Susie (8/5): wonderful view of the waterfront - location nothing
- Chitra (3/5): Overpriced youth hostel - Good location Very very very basic room. This was just an overpriced youth hostel. Old and dilapidated room with barely enough space to walk around the bed. Mattress was way too soft to be comfortable, cheap sheets with stains. Shared bathrooms didn't seem to be cleaned every day.
Free coffee in the morning but sugar and milk are not included... for close to $200 a night it seems like they could at least give you milk and sugar with your coffee!
- Johnny (8/5): History and great views - This hostel operates in a historic building with its own flare, style and personality; the location is also superb - we could see the St-Lawrence stuary from our window. The custodian, Réal, is extremely helpful, polite and friendly. He gave us a very informative tour of the building and made us feel welcome! There was a 300 CDN deposit asked from me last minute. Given that the accommodation is a hostel with a shared bathroon, a deposit seems excessive to me. The company managing the property also appeared disconnected from the operations and had little to no knowledge on the check-in process.
- Kourosh (9/5): Superb -
- Inna (9/5): Superb -
- Margery (8/5): Friendly and family oriented facilities. - Good location, quiet, clean, good common facilities like lounge and kitchen.
- Abanes (5/5): Passable - The location was good The room is lack of air circulation
The room is hot during our night sleep
