Les hôtes sont super arrangeants et disponibles via WhatsApp :) Suryia vous propose toutes les activités incontournables des environs et se rend très disponible avec son Tuktuk pour vous faire vivre le meilleur séjour possible ! J’ai ainsi pu découvrir Dambulla, Polonnaruwa et même faire le sunrise face au Lion’s Rock! Ils proposent également de vous faire à manger et c’est délicieux ! :) Je recommande vivement, j’ai passé un excellent moment ! Petit plus pour la vue directement sur Lion’s Rock depuis la terrasse :)

• Bethan (10/5): Very welcoming hosts and amazing view of the palace! - The hosts Suriya and his lovely wife will go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. The food they provide is lovely and his wife is a very good cook. The view of the palace from the property is amazing and to wake up to this every morning makes the stay very special. They also offer other services, we took the safari he offered and it was incredible and a very reasonable price. From the moment we arrived late at night they made us feel so welcome and took us in as if we were apart of the family. I’ve never felt so looked after at a Homestay before. The rooms were really clean (the cleanest we’ve had since travelling for a few months) and the mosquitoes nets were really great to keep us safe. Highly recommend staying here.

• Bari (10/5): - Mr Suriya is the kindest guy you will find here in Sigiriya or maybe in the whole of Sr Lanka :) Mr. Surya and Ms. Suriya, both are exceptionally great when it comes to hospitality and welcoming. They made sure everything was on time and clean. The best part is he has a tuk tuk so if you want to travel to any scenic areas, he can take you. Great people and a great place if you want something clean and close to nature ❤️
• Emily (10/5): - Der Aufenthalt im Sigiriya Palace View war echt klasse. Die einheimische junge Familie ist sehr zuvorkommend und aufgeschlossen. Der Hausherr hat viele Tipps für Unternehmungen und Ausflüge, da sollte man sich einfach das passenden für einen selbst raussuchen. Ein absoluter Vorteil der Unterkunft ist das hauseigene Tuktuk. Der Hausherr fährt für einen fairen Preis zu jedem Ort und wartet sogar für den Rücktransport (Transport Hin-Zurück nach Dambulla ~ 5000 Rupien). Auch gibt es Frühstück/Lunch/Dinner je nach Wunsch auf dem Balkon mit Blick auf dem Lion's Rock für 1600-2000 Rupien. Also für uns eine absolute Empfehlung!

• Lana (10/5): Amazing homestay within walking distance of Sigiriya's main road - I stayed at Sigiriya Palace View 3 nights and I really loved it. As the owned and tuk-tuk driver Suriya was amazingly helpful with tips, pick-ups/drop-offs and also tours. I took a few tours (Pidurangala sunrise hike, Thalkote Lake, Dambulla cave temple, and Pollonaruwa) and was really happy with all of them. Suriya was very flexible and we took the tours when it suited me. Other absolute highlight of the stay was the breakfast his wife makes, along with bird sounds in the garden and views of the Lion's Rock. Would love to come back if I ever visit Sigiriya again! The only thing I disliked was being brought to an herb garden between Dambulla and Sirigiya. It's not a nice place (it's very money-driven where you're forced to have a massage and buy).

• Gabriella (10/5): Delightful, easy, safe home stay! - As a solo female travel I felt very safe. The host was very helpful and offered tuktuk rides at a fee. He emphasised the importance of safety within the area at night (due to recent wild elephant attacks). I joined the cooking class which was very fun and great value for money, we made lots of delicious dishes. If I return to Sigiriya, I will definitely stay with this lovely family! No suggestions.

They provided plenty of options for all attractions, food and transport. We had no stress of this. We were able to rely on our hosts and they always fulfilled for us. The location is great. Local to all the tourists spots and a stunning view of lions rock. Our hosts accommodated us with home made cooking, which was very tasty and also assisted us with support when we left the town to others. • Jeff (8/5): - A vrai dire, avis partagé. Si vous venez pour le site ou les activités proposées, l'emplacement excellent et la bonne cuisine, parfait. Soriya saura vous faire découvrir les environs. Les salles d'eau sont propres. Bon wifi. Très belle terrasse pour les 4 chambres qui ont la vue directe sur Lion Rock. Les chambres sont très humides (la clim est en option payante) et celle qui donne sur la cour de devant vraiment inférieure aux quatre de derrière avec la vue sur Lion Rock. Remontées d'odeurs dans une des chambres du haut et linge de lit moyen. Je pense qu'il serait bon de corriger ces défauts.
• John (10/5): Great family run homestay - This was a great homestay! The family is so nice and willing to help with anything you need. The property is close to Lion Rock, but removed from the main road so it is quiet and peaceful. The surroundings are beautiful and it's a great place to sit and relax. The meals were excellent as well. Highly recommend staying here.

He organized our trips and transportation. His wife is the best cook in the world, and we really enjoyed both breakfast and dinner. The accommodation was lovely, clean, and had a stunning view of Lion Rock. Highly recommended.

• Anneloes (9/5): Fijn verblijf in Sigiriya - We hebben een prettig verblijf gehad bij deze accommodatie in Sigiriya! De eigenaren waren erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De host vertelde veel en was erg enthousiast; soms zo uitgebreid dat het een beetje voelde alsof hij ons iets probeerde te verkopen. Nadat we via hem een safari hadden geboekt, werd dit minder. Het kan ook echt oprechte passie voor zijn werk en voor de omgeving zijn, maar af en toe kwam het wat anders over – lastig te zeggen. De kamer was prima en voorzien van een klamboe, wat erg fijn was. We konden hier ook onze was laten doen, wat een groot pluspunt is tijdens het reizen. Het ontbijt was heerlijk en uitgebreid! De locatie is goed: op ongeveer vijf minuten lopen van het centrum. Onze tuktuk konden we veilig in de voortuin parkeren. Houd er wel rekening mee dat het ’s avonds erg donker is in de omgeving; wij liepen daarom met de zaklamp van onze telefoons. Al met al een fijne plek met goede voorzieningen. -

• Jane (10/5): I would stay here again :) - The property is about 15mins walk to shops and places to eat but worth the walk for the peaceful location and beautiful views of the countryside and Lions Rock. The home stay has chairs and hammocks to relax in and a lovely balcony area. The room was clean and spacious with a ceiling fan and you can pay extra for air con. The hosts can provide meals at an additional cost and the lunch we had was lovely! The host can provide transport by tuk tuk for an additional charge and he brought us to and from Pidurangala Rock. He arranged a safari to Kaudulla National Park for us with Tharanga who had so much knowledge about the elephants. He didn’t rush us and went at our pace for the safari. Le camere sono ampie e pulite e affacciano su un giardinetto molto piacevole attrezzato per mangiare e rilassarsi. Il proprietario di casa è stato molto solerte nell'organizzare tutto ciò che riguarda va il nostro soggiorno, forse un po' pressante nostri gusti, ma sicuramente gentile e disponibile
• Marie (8/5): Très belle vue et hôtes très sympa - Une vue incroyable depuis le balcon.La guest house ne ment pas sur la vue, bien dégagée sur le Lion's Rock. Un petit déjeuner excellent et très copieux et idem pour les dîners que nous avons finalement tous pris sur place tellement nous en étions contents. Les chambres sont très simples. L'endroit est très calme et le jardin paisible avec des hamacs. L'ensemble est très joli. Les hôtes sont très gentils et veulent absolument pouvoir faire plaisir à leurs guests (parfois un peu trop). Néanmoins ils sont très aidants pour organiser les activités et le planning. Ils sont de bons conseils. L'hôte a un tuk-tuk et peut vous accompagner dans vos trajets (les frais sont à ajouter). L'hôte a arrangé une jeep pour un safari éléphant à Minneriya. Le conducteur, Tharanga était vraiment top! Très patient aussi car nous pouvions rester très longtemps au même endroit à contempler les animaux. Merci! Nous avons choisi de nous laisser porter et avons fait quasiment toutes les excursions proposées par l'hôte pour un total de 170€ pour 3 nuits avec petits déjeuners, dîners, déplacements. N'hésitez pas à demander le coût pour maîtriser les dépenses. Très bon rapport qualité-prix. Un séjour génial, merci. La première nuit peut être un peu compliquée pour les dos sensibles à cause du matelas mais on s'y habitue. L'hôte à tellement à cœur de bien faire et un sens de l'hospitalité peut être un peu trop aigu pouvant devenir un peu oppressant si vous n'y êtes pas habitués ou que vous avez l'habitude d'organiser seul vos périples.

• TSUKADA (9/5): とても良い思い出ができました！ - 6歳、3歳、0歳の子供3人連れての宿泊でした。 宿のオーナーも2人子供がおり（中学生の女の子と小学生の男の子）、子供達同士よく遊んでくれました。特にお姉ちゃんの方は、我が家の子供達の世話をよくしてくれて、親の方がゆっくりできて助かりました。 まだできて一年ほどのようなので、部屋もとても綺麗で助かりました！ シャワーもちゃんとお湯が出ます。エアコンは別料金と言われましたが、夜結構涼しくなる（東京の夏の方が断然暑い）ので、エアコンは断りました。 立地については、私達にはドライバーがいてドライバーと移動したので特に不便はありませんでした。 夜遅くのチェックインでも、夜ご飯をすぐに作ってくれました。辛いものが多いスリランカにおいて、辛くないチャーハンを作ってくれたので、子供達も喜んで食べました。ただ、朝食、夕食の料金が明確でないので、この金額が妥当かわかりません。5人家族で2泊50ドルほどで予約しました。最終的に2回の朝食、2回の夕食と一本のビールで合計110ドル程？になりました。ご参考までに。 私たちは犬が大好きなので、子供もよく懐いていて問題ないけれど、犬が苦手な人は要注意です。

• Elisa (10/5): Parfait ! - Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Suriya et son épouse. Suriya est très serviable et nous a organisé des visites et un safari dans le parc de Minneraya. Les chambres sont agréables et très propres. Le jardin arboré et calme est parfait pour se reposer dans les Hamacs. Les petits déjeuner et diners sont copieux et delicieux . Bref , je recommande !
• Annick (9/5): Ruheoase mit Traumblick - Der Homestay liegt recht abseits vom Ort, ist sehr ruhig und hat einen traumhaften Blick auf den Lions Rock. Wir hatten ein Familienzimmer im oberen Geschoss mit einer tollen Terrasse, auf der Frühstück und Abendessen serviert wurde. Das Essen war reichhaltig und sehr lecker. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, die Terrasse war toll zum Entspannen und auch der Garten mit Hängematten war traumhaft. Suriya und seine Familie waren sehr nett und haben uns geholfen, diverse Unternehmungen in der Umgebung zu organisieren. Als wir unser Tablett vergessen hatten, ist Suriya extra nochmals nach Dambulla gekommen, um es uns zu bringen. Insgesamt können wir die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen. Falls ihr näher im Dorf sein wollt und dort essen möchtet, liegt die Unterkunft etwas zu abseits. Für uns war es aber genau das richtige.
• Cornelis (10/5): Een heerlijke plek om te verblijven in Sigiriya. - Wij verbleven onlangs in deze accommodatie in Sigiriya en waren vanaf het eerste moment aangenaam verrast. Zodra je achter het terrein komt, waar zich de kamers zich bevinden, merk je meteen dat er met veel zorg en aandacht gewerkt wordt. Alles is bijzonder schoon en netjes, zowel de kamers als de gemeenschappelijke balkons. De eigenaren zijn ontzettend vriendelijk en doen er alles aan om je verblijf zo prettig mogelijk te maken. Ze staan altijd klaar met goede tips en kunnen werkelijk alles voor je regelen: van vervoer tot excursies, en dat allemaal voor een zeer redelijke prijs. Een absoluut hoogtepunt was het eten. De maaltijden worden door de eigenaren zelf bereid en zijn vers, smaakvol en met veel liefde klaargemaakt. We zouden hier zonder twijfel opnieuw boeken en kunnen het iedereen aanbevelen.

The host made us feel like family—warm, helpful, and incredibly attentive. He prepared a delicious dinner, probably the best curry I have ever had, arranged our day trips and transport, and shared great local tips. In the evening, we enjoyed a demonstration of how the make beautiful fruit and vegetable carvings—what a lovely touch!
• Benoit (10/5): Warm and authentic stay, with great view - We were so warmly welcomed by Suriya and his sweet family. You feel completely at home! It is a perfect opportunity to be immersed in the Sri Lankan culture and kindness. The view from the rooms and the garden is stunning. You have some hammocks to chill looking at the Sigiriya Rock. It is near to many restaurants so you can walk to go to a for lunch or dinner or have a delicious meal prepared by Suriya’s wife. They even proposed a cooking lesson for us and our children one night: it was a beautiful experience. Suriya’s does everything he can to make your stay special : he took our children to a wood carving workshop, he took us to an Ayurvedic spa, and also demonstrated his incredible skills carving a watermelon and vegetables : quite a show! He also organized our taxis and took us with his Tuktuk to our activities and also to Dambulla. The rooms are very clean, the beds are confortable , you have AC, mosquito net, and the place is very calm. If you want a more authentic experience I recommend you to go there if you visit Sigiriya. If we really have to find something, I would say that the beds are comfy, they put on them more local and colorful bedding, but the part that is underneath can go away if you move to much and then you are directly on the bare mattress. Bigger fabric would be ideal.

• Jaroslav (8/5): Bydlení s výhledem na Sigiria Rock - Výhled na Sigiria Rock, čisté, majitel nám doporučil safari se slony a bylo opravdu vydařené, viděli jsme snad 100+ slonů ve skupinkách po 10-15, proto jsme zůstali o 1 noc déle. Také nám nabídl večeři a připravil i oběd mezi ranním výstupem na Sigirir na východ slunce a safari těsně po poledni. Chutná kuchyně. V koupelně je cítit odpad .. v dalších ubytováních ex post na Srí Lance to bylo pro chybějící sifon u umyvadla, zde nevím proč, možná také tak. V pokoji , pokud jste 3 či 4 (2 manželské postele v každém ze 4 pokojů) je málo místa na uložení natož vybalení zavazadel. Pokoj je reálně pro 2 ale jsou tam nahuštěné 2 manželské postele. Majitel je velmi ochotný až úslužný, ale stále opakuje a doporučuje placené akce a zasílá na WA mnoho fotek a videí mně i duplicitně (zbytečná data pokud máte omezené množství) . Při vyúčtování si samovolně a oproti dohodě přidal 10% na ceně večeře .. 2400lkr za osobu za Kari .. to je více než dobré restaurace v Kandy den po té. Zdůvodnil to množstvím surovin, ale sortiment byl stejný jako kari jinde .

• Giulia (10/5): The place to be in Sigiriya! - The place to be in Sigiriya! Small family business with attention to every detail. The rooms are clean, spacious, there is everything you need. The delicious breakfast is served on the terrace overlooking lion rock and a little garden. They are really friendly and are available for transportation or any kind of advice to explore the area. Location is central. Highly recommended! -
• Pragya (10/5): Awesome experience - I stayed here for one night as a solo traveler and had a super comfortable experience. The view from the hotel was really nice and peaceful. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the staff were very kind and helpful. Since I was traveling alone, they really took care of me and helped me with everything I needed. I felt safe and welcomed. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a short and relaxing stay! 10/10 🤩🤩👍👍
• Barbora (10/5): Excellent stay with a view of Lion’s rock - Amazing stay in a quiet area, yet very close to shops, restaurants and main sights. The room was big, cosy, well-furnished and clean. There is a sitting area outside the room with peaceful garden with a view of the Lion’s rock. No neighbours, just pure nature! The host Suriya with his wife were very warm and welcoming, made sure we had everything we needed during our stay and gave us good suggestions regarding our programme. They also offer home-cooked dinner with sri lankan’s dishes, everything tasty. The overall experience was delightful. 😊
• Julia (9/5): - The location of the homestay was fantastic, with stunning views of the Lion Rock and close to many cultural attractions in the Cultural Triangle. The host was always available and took great care of us. The food was excellent and varied. We also appreciated the host's helpful information about the sights and transfers, and the fact that he even offers tour with his own tuk-tuk.
• Mikhail (4/5): This could have been the most pleasant part of our trip around the island, but... - Great location. Relatively close to a street with cafes, close to the mountain, but secluded and quiet. Nice terrace with a pleasant view. There is a water heater in the room, so you always have hot water (if it works). When the water heater broke, the owner refused to fix it in our absence, so that we would not feel uncomfortable because someone was walking among our belongings - this is good (I mean it). The breakfasts were rather plain, without any fruits. The main disadvantage of this place is for sure the host. At first, he seemed a friendly and kind person. Then It turned out that he was only concerned with one thing: how to sell us something. He kept saying that he didn't insist on anything, but that wasn't true. When we (me, my wife and three of our friends, two of whom lived in the next room in the same house) decided to go on a safari to the national park, we decided to compare several offers. On the street, among the cafes, there is a man who offers taxi services, excursions, including organizing a safari. He offered us a price a third lower than the owner (25k rupees vs. 36k rupees for five people). Well, i decided not to bring it up, we were mere guests after all. But when our host found out that we had booked a safari somewhere else for so much cheaper, he just turned sour. He started looking at us as if we had somehow insulted him, there was no trace of friendliness left, only a forced cold politeness. Do you think that was the end of it? No. Later, when we booked a transfer to Kandy from the same person who had organized the safari for us (the safari was great by the way), he told us that our host had called him and swore at him because he was lowering prices. Our host was genuinely offended that we did not buy his service at an exorbitant price, can you imagine? When we were leaving, he started to insistently ask us to leave before 11 AM, although the booking conditions clearly stated that we could stay until 12. And the cherry on top of that: he waited until we left, and immediately marked all four of us as no-shows! Now that was really indecent, and thanks to Booking support, they sorted out the situation. Obviously he did not want me to be able to leave a review. After this, I can only rate it as 4.

Na miejscu dostępne do wykupienia posiłki przygotowywane przez właścicielkę - bardzo dobre oraz napoje, w dobrych cenach. Właściciel organizuje różne wycieczki. Polecam na 1/2 noce, na pewno nie na dłużej Czuć było brak przestrzeni, właściciel bardzo narzucający się, brak komfortu swobodnego spędzania czasu, w obiekcie mieszka więcej domowników, przez co czasami miało się uczucie ciągłego bycia obserwowanym
• Franziska (9/5): Tolles homestay in Sigiriya! - Wir hatten eine super Zeit bei Suriyas Familie. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und konnten auf Wunsch mit Essen versorgt werden. Die Aussicht auf den Lion Rock war super schön. Es ist ruhig gelegen und Suriya machte uns viele Vorschläge für mögliche Unternehmungen. Er war sehr hilfsbereit und hatte mit uns selbst einige Touren gemacht.
• Bernhard (9/5): - Sehr gastfreundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Der Chef konnte uns viele Tips für diverse Unternehmungen geben und uns mit seinem Tuktuk an den Start bringen. Die Unterkunft ist ruhig gelegen und hat gepflegten Garten mit Aussicht auf den "Lion - Rock". Wir fühlten uns rundherum gut versorgt ! Die Frau vom Chef kocht recht gut ! Keine Beanstandungen !
• Racheal (10/5): Friendly homestay, great food, walking distance to Lion’s Rock - This was a magical homestay. The hosts are warm and welcoming and go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and have a good experience in Sigiriya. Suriya has a tuktuk, which makes it easy to get around, and it is well worth the reasonable extra cost to enjoy Sunathra’s exceptional cooking. I visited over the Avurudu holiday and Suriya and Sunathra invited me to join their friends and family walking to Lion’s Rock, and later Suriya set off firecrackers for the guests’ children. I recommend it to anyone looking to experience an unforgettable slice of life in a beautiful village. And as a solo female traveler, I felt very safe. The room and bathroom were very clean with all the basic amenities you’d need, the tables outside overlooked a lovely garden with a tall field beyond, and a perfect view of Lion’s Rock beyond. Safe and easy walking distance to several village restaurants and an easy 20min walk to Lion’s Rock entrance. Suriya is eager to facilitate experiences in the area, whether taking you to the Ayurvedic medicinal garden or the Village Safari, or to hike Pidurangula Rock. However, he is very respectful if you have firm plans already.
• Matthias (10/5): Eine sehr empfehlenswerte Erfahrung. Einfach super! - Eine sehr empfehlenswerte Erfahrung Die zweckmäßige Zimmer mit großem Bad und guter Dusche sind sehr sauber. Man hat die Wahl zwischen Ventilator oder Klimaanlage (gegen Aufpreis). Der Ausblick ist schön die schattigen Hängematte im Garten laden zum Verweilen ein und das authentische Essen, bei dem auch Rücksicht auf Sonderwünsche genommem wird wie vegetarisch oder nicht scharf ist sehr empfehlenswert. Das beste ist jedoch die Herzlichkeit der Familie. Sie sind immer bemüht einem gute Tipps zu geben und zu helfen wo sie können, sogar die kaputte Sohle meiner Wanderschuhe wurde repariert. Der Gastgeber hat auch ein TuckTuck mit dem er einem zu fairen Preisen die Gegend zeigt. Er berät, bietet an, ist aber nicht aufdringlich. Man merkt, dass es ihnen wichtig ist, dass sich die Gäste wohlfühlen. Wir durften sogar Neujahr mit feiern. Für unsere Weiterfahrt besorgte er uns einen guten Transport, günstiger als in der pick me App und bot an, dass wir uns bei Schwierigkeiten gerne melden dürfen. Eine rundum gelungene Erfahrung, die alle glücklich machte. Ein besonderes Dankeschön auch für die TukTuk Fahrstunde. Istuti.
• Sanne (7/5): Een comfortabel verblijf met kleine aandachts/verbeterpunten - Een accommodatie met mooi uitzicht en van alle gemakken voorzien. Prima bed en fijn om een eigen badkamer te hebben. Lekker om in de tuin in een hangmat te kunnen relaxen tussen het zien van alle bezienswaardigheden door. Houd er rekening mee dat de accommodatie een stukje van de grote(re) weg ligt en je daar en zeker op de onverharde weg na zonsondergang beter niet kunt lopen ivm olifanten. De optie voor eten is fijn, ik heb 1x diner gehad maar vond het aanbod van de omliggende restaurants beter. Soms vond ik de eigenaar iets te aanwezig, hoewel goed bedoeld, hij leek altijd te willen weten waar ik was en anders wel tours aan te bieden.

• Catherine (8/5): - A lovely homestay visit. Siriya and his wife are very keen to help and offer suggestions for the local area. We did not need to take up the offer, however, as we had our own driver. It is a peaceful location with an excellent view of Lion's Rock and lovely hammocks to relax into. The accommodation is at the back of Siriiriya's home. Our room was equipped with fans, air-conditioning, and mosquito net. Breakfast included fresh fruit and cooked Sri Lankan style dishes. We also had a lovely home cooked evening meal. After a fall on the way down from Lion's Rock, S iriya and his wife were so helpful in providing a full medical kit. The location is peaceful, but a short distance away from local restaurants and cafes, although there is always the possibility of a ride with the owner's tuk tuk.

• Marleen (10/5): Wundervolles Homestay mit herzlichen Gastgebern - Wir hatten eine großartige Zeit bei Suriya und seiner Familie. Sie sind unglaublich herzliche und aufmerksame Gastgeber, die uns sofort willkommen fühlen ließen. Das Frühstück und Abendessen waren fantastisch – hausgemacht und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Die Lage des Homestays ist einmalig, mit einer atemberaubenden Aussicht auf den Lion’s Rock. Besonders empfehlen können wir Suriyas private Tour mit seinem Tuk-Tuk. Er hat uns nicht nur viel über die lokale Kultur erzählt, sondern uns auch zu wunderschönen, weniger bekannten Aussichtspunkten gebracht. Ein absoluter Geheimtipp – wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

The host's hospitality was outstanding, he was genuinely attentive and proactively offered assistance and suggestions for exploring the area. A significant highlight was the location, which provided a stunning, unobstructed view of Lion's Rock, adding a magical element to the experience. The meals prepared were excellent, showcasing authentic Sri Lankan flavors. Dinner and breakfast were both a testament to the quality of their home cooking. I highly recommend this home stay for a personal and memorable experience, especially for those wanting to wake up to a breathtaking view

• Grunenberg (10/5): - I had a wonderful stay at this homestay! The place was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. The hosts were incredibly friendly and always willing to help with anything I needed. I felt truly welcomed and well taken care of throughout my stay. One of the best parts was that the host had a tuk-tuk, so he could take me to my destinations for a small fee. It made exploring the area so much easier! The breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared, a perfect start to the day. And the view from the garden was simply breathtaking – a stunning panorama of Lion Rock that made my stay even more special. I would recommend this homestay to anyone visiting the area. Thank you for such a nice experience!
• Ksenia (6/5): - Zentrale Lage mitten in Sigiriya. Der Betreiber bietet selber Fahrten (TukTuk), Aktivitäten und Verpflegung (Frühstück, Mittag-, Abendessen) an und berät bzw. unterstützt bei sämtlichen Themen. Das Zimmer ist sehr schlicht eingerichtet. Ich hatte während meines Aufenthalts diverse Insekten im Zimmer und man hat gesehen, dass an einigen Stellen länger nicht geputzt wurde. Der Betreiber war anfangs relativ aufdringlich mir Fahrten / Aktivitäten / Verpflegung von/bei sich anzubieten. Nach 1.5 Tagen kam der Switch und er war weniger aufdringlich, jedoch jetzt sehr auf eine gute Bewertung auf Booking fokussiert und hat mich auch nach meinem Aufenthalt persönlich damit kontaktiert. Ich fande es sehr anstrengend ständig „belagert“ zu werden und würde daher nicht nochmal in der Unterkunft übernachten.
• Charlotte (10/5): Das tollste homestay in dem ich jemals war!! - Mein Aufenthalt bei Suriya und seiner wunderbaren Familie war einfach unvergesslich! Schon bei meiner Ankunft wurde ich mit so viel Herzlichkeit empfangen, dass ich mich sofort wie zu Hause fühlte. Die Zimmer sind schön, sauber und bieten einen tollen Blick auf den beeindruckenden Lion Rock - ein absoluter Traum! Suriya ist ein großartiger Gastgeber, der sich mit voller Hingabe darum kümmert, dass man eine einzigartige Zeit hat. Er hat für mich tolle Ausflüge organisiert - von einer idyllischen Dorf-Tour mit Bootsfahrt über die Erkundung von Polonnaruwa bis hin zu Wanderungen auf den z.B. Pidurangala. Jede Tour war perfekt geplant, und es hat unglaublich viel Spaß gemacht, Sri Lanka auf diese Weise zu entdecken. Ein weiteres Highlight war das Essen, das Suriyas Frau jeden Tag frisch zubereitet hat. Jede Mahlzeit war richtig lecker - ich habe mich jedes mal darauf gefreut! Besonders auf die Jackfruit!! Diese Familie gibt wirklich ihr Bestes, um ihre Gäste glücklich zu machen. Ich habe mich hier nicht nur als Gast, sondern als Freund der Familie gefühlt. Es war eine der schönsten Erfahrungen meiner Reise, und ich kann diesen Homestay von ganzem Herzen empfehlen. Wer nach Sigiriya kommt, sollte sich diese besondere Unterkunft nicht entgehen lassen!

• Ilona (6/5): Pleasant and relaxed - the breakfast was delicious and they are super friendly, helpful and kind. They are a very nice family taking great care of the guest and trying to make it very comfortable for you to stay there and also to explore the surroundings. Wonderful. The mosquito nets were uncomfortable to get in and out especially when you are two in a bed, there is only one side that opens, a real hustle for the person on the the non open side to get out. A little shelf in the bathroom would help too, that way one can put ones bathroom utensils there, especially when you are three sharing the room.

• Eva (10/5): Wir haben uns rund um wohl gefühlt. - Die Gastfamilie ist unglaublich freundlich, zuvorkommend und bemüht. Der Host kümmert sich rund um die Uhr um seine Gäste. Er hilft bei der Organisation von Ausflügen vor Ort und gibt sehr hilfreiche Tipps für die Weiterreise. Mit seinem Tuk Tuk fährt er seine Gäste jederzeit dorthin, wo sie möchten. Zudem ist er immer erreichbar, spontan, herzlich und hilfsbereit, ohne dabei aufdringlich zu sein. Seine Frau kocht hervorragendes Essen und im Garten hält man sich aufgrund der Hängematten sowie dem Blick auf den Lions Rock sehr gerne auf.

• Bozhana (10/5): A wonderful local stay! - Suriya and his wife are the most welcoming hosts ever! They made our stay very special and accommodated everything for us - Suriya helped us by organising pick up from Colombo airport, as well as organise day trips from Sigiriya. He drove us around in his tuk-tuk and his wife cooked dinner for us one day. The host was always available on Whatsapp 24/7 and when my luggage got lost at the beginning of our holiday he went out of his way to support me in getting it back. He always ensured the safety of his guests and was super kind and hard-working. The rooms were super clean and the view was great. Don’t hesitate to stay there for an authentic experience with this warm family! Thank you for everything!

• Joanne Degonda (10/5): Petit coin calme très bien situé et accueillant - Le logement est idéalement situé, proche du village animé de Sigiriya, avec une belle terrasse et quelque hamacs, donnant sur le Lion Rock. Suriya est très présent pour ses clients, plein de bons conseils et recommandations, il nous a emmené partout avec plaisir, et tout ça pour un prix très correct. Les petits déjeuners et le souper préparés par sa femme étaient excellents, n'hésitez donc pas à manger sur place.

• Lærke (3/5): Den kvindelig vært virkede meget sød. Desværre var den mandelig vært meget dominerende. Fra første sekund efter vi var a - Det ligger tæt på Lion Rock. Værelserne var beskidte og det var MANGE insekter på værelset. Biller, frøer og myre var blot nogle af de ting der var på værelset. Der var inden vores ankomst sprøjtet med noget meget kraftigt ( muligvis insektspray) som virkelig var ubehageligt at være i. Sengen var udstyret med et lille klaustrofobisk myggenet, så man kunne ikke strække benene.

There’s some lovely restaurants and bars down in the village which is about a 10 min walk away. - The location was excellent with a view of Lions Rock from the terrace. Room was large, spacious and clean. The owner was very keen to sell local tours with either himself or others and when he realised we weren’t interested he then became a little distant.

Właściciel pomogą w wielu kwestiach. Właściciel był bardzo zaangażowany i chętny do pomocy, czasem aż zbyt troskliwy, co mogło sprawiać wrażenie nadmiernej dbałości o gości. Doceniamy jego starania, choć momentami czuło się lekki brak przestrzeni.”
