• Anna (3/5): Disappointed - Bed and floors were clean. There was hair left in the tub and on the floor. The tub didn't look clean and there were big bottles of 3 in one and 2 in one men's shampoo to use. No face cloths or hand towels. When I told the owner about the hair they didn't offer to clean it up and instead made excuses and told us we don't have to stay here. I used to be a house keeper so I could tell instantly that the owner didn't care about the cleanliness of her rooms despite the price she put the rooms at ($140). We had to stay because it was non-refundable.

• Ingrid (10/5): Tolles Motel - Ich hatte bei der Buchung so meine Bedenken, weil das Motel wirklich sehr einsam liegt. Überraschenderweise hat uns genau das so gefallen. Sehr freundlicher Empfang, Zimmer absolut in Ordnung, Parken direkt vor der Türe. Und ja, es fährt ein Zug vorbei. Wir fanden das tuten sehr amüsant, uns hat es an alte Filme erinnert. Im übrigen sind uns die Züge auf unserer Reise mehrfach beim Übernachten begegnet. Wir haben jedenfalls trotzdem gut geschlafen. Für ganz empfindliche Ohren empfiehlt sich aber Ohrstöpsel mitzunehmen, auch für eventuelle andere Übernachtungen. Wichtiger ist, sich wirklich vorher mit Essen einzudecken. Es gibt zwar gegenüber eine Tankstelle, die schließt aber sehr früh. Für uns gehörte dieses Motel zu unseren Unterkünften, an die wir uns sehr gerne zurückerinnern. Wir würden hier jederzeit wieder übernachten.

Only drawback to our stay in Avola--and this is not a hotel issue, but related to the remote location of the town--is the fact that the pub (the one and only place to get a meal), was closed by the time we arrived, early Sunday evening. Just something to be aware of when staying Avola. We ended up driving to Blue River, 25 min up the road, for dinner; not what we really wanted to do after 7 hours of driving.

• Jens (5/5): Für Durchreise noch ok, aber wieder weg sein ist auch gut - Frühstück besteht aus einer Tüte mit Essen to go - seeehr einfach Na ja also das Fenster geht auf einen "Tor"-bogen, aber gut, wird es nicht zu hell im Zimmer. Zimmer sehr klein, Matratze für 3. Bett / Aufbettung ist deutlich spürbar mit Spiralfedern ausgestattet - also na ja, für eine Nacht mal ok, aber nicht wirklich zu empfehlen
• Nadine (8/5): - Man bekommt morgens eine Papiertüte mit Müsliriegeln und Keksen. Laute klimaanlage, Geräusche aus anderen Zimmern und der vorbeifahrende Zug hupt mehrfach und das jede Stunde. Ohropax empfohlen.

• Michelle (5/5): If all you need is one bed to sleep and go, it’s fine. Wouldn’t recommend if you need more than one bed or want to get f - Room was clean, staff was friendly, main bed was comfortable. There is literally nothing in Avola. If you need food, make sure you bring it, or eat before getting there. There is a pub with a small menu, but apparently has weird hours and isn’t always open (kids are allowed in). It is really close to the railway tracks, and trains go by and blast their horn several times throughout the night, and you are right off the highway, so it is very loud. Even earplugs weren’t that helpful. Rooms are also quite bright as the blinds don’t block out all of the light from the outside, which is brightly lit. Also, if you pay for an extra bed, make sure to ask the front desk for bedding as it is not in the room and the office closes somewhat early. You will still have to pay for the extra bed. Also, that bed is a pull out and you can feel the springs through it, so I wouldn’t recommend it anyway. We didn’t use it but did sit on it, it would have been terrible to sleep on.

• Emma (8/5): A great value stop over. - Staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the fridge and microwave were appreciated. The little takeaway snack bag in the morning was a lovely surprise. The chairs outside need updating as they are just old dining style chairs. Also, the room did not have a tea and coffee maker, as advertised a however there was coffee available at reception in the morning.

• Anke (9/5): - Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich. Morgens gab es ein Snack-Paket. Für eine Übernachtung auf der Durchreise absolut ok. Die Matratze war sehr gut. Die Betten und Zimmer sind nicht groß. Die Wände sehr dünn = hellhörig.

Good Roku selection of streaming services, but small TV-hard to see from bed. Friendly staff. Very small room. Very humid. Minimal toiletries, linen. No in room coffeemaker, but available in morning with snack pack. Gravel parking lot - had to watch for debris, potholes.

Dans l'appartement du dessus, nous avons entendu des piétinements forts toute la nuit, et dans l'appartement d'à côté, des enfants crier jusqu'à 1h00 du matin (malgré les bouchons d'oreilles)... La chambre est très mal isolée, et nous avons sûrement joué de malchance.
