Guest Reviews
- nortcliffe (1/5): - On arrival the front door looked like it had previously been kicked in and had what looked like dried blood on the door. Inside the whole place stunk of cannabis and was filthy with holes in walls and doors there was rubbish down the side of one of the beds , an open bottle of vodka and other items in the fridge,
The shower head in the bathroom is being held up with a tie wrap.
- Semesi (10/5): - 👌
- York (10/5): very good a cosy - had everything you need
- Matthew (9/5): Good value and cheap - Good value for money . Clean . And good choice communication. All good
- Laura (5/5): Fine for somewhere to lay a weary head. - The beds were comfy and the carpets were new and clean. We couldn’t open the key box. We were told it was stiff so to use more strength. After 30 mins and having to use a knife to force it open, we got in.
The block of flats reeked of weed. The flat smelt of cigarettes. The person I was travelling with slept in the front bedroom but had to come into the back bedroom half way through the night because the police sirens kept waking him up.
It was as though a fire alarm had gone off mid cleaning because there were bottles of cleaning products on the beds, a canister of insect spray left on the duvet, plastic bags on the floor with cleaning products and cloths in. The bathrooms were clean and the kitchen was reasonably clean but the cooker hood and bin were grubby, the smoke alarm had a bin bag over it and the windows were dirty too.
Lastly, we were told a couple of hours before we were due to arrive that we had to transfer a refundable deposit. I’d not been aware if this (£100). We transferred it and confirmed it via message. But we didn’t receive checkin instructions for the checkin time. I had to send two separate text messages and call twice in order to obtain them them. I then had to approach the owner to request the refund.
We are not ‘posh.’ It’s absolutely fine to spend one night in if you literally need a crash pad. I have slept in far worse places. But I would choose to return? No. It’s a passable 2 bedroomed flat in a pretty rough area and it’s not particularly clean.
- Nicola (5/5): Passable -
- Luke (10/5): Exceptional -
- Diego (8/5): It is perfect if you intend staying in a accommodation for the festival as it has a bus stop right outside. - The property was simple and comfortable and really easy to locate. It was perfect for what we needed and had a bus stop right outside of it. The area was slightly rough and the front door didn’t seem very secure.
- Joe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Malcolm (8/5): We were only there one night. Wouldn't have stayed there for a longer period. - The accommodation was reasonable and clean Unable to get the barrier for the car parking space down, host suggested using someone else's space, was advised by a resident against doing this as clamps are used. When suggested to the host that we didn't think it was a good idea then he suggested just parking somewhere near by....did not know the area, it's close to pubs and on a main road. Area also seemed a bit rough. Ended up having to park elsewhere, rather than the safer car park for the flat which I was not happy about. Host also wanted more money for children 12 and over which seemed ridiculous as surely you pay for the accommodation regardless of the ages of those staying.
