• Candi (9/5): The most relaxing and enjoyable holiday I have had in years. - Incredible location, right on the clean and quiet beach that you just step onto. Close to blue flag beach and amazing tidal and natural rock pools mean that you can swim any time safely. The deck and pool and braai area is phenomenal and main bedrooms open up right onto it. Very caring and proactive owner and Maxine and Happiness were there whenever we asked or needed anything. Nothing major at all, this is a beach cottage that is kept very clean and has good facilities so that you can just relax and do not even need to drive to any beach. Southport is a quiet little town but you can drive to malls in just 20 minutes if you need to.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that made us feel right at home. The location was perfect, just a short stroll to the beach, which added so much to the experience. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, making our stay comfortable and memorable.

No automatic gate. Everything was great but if I would be abit picky,I would suggest more activities for kids eg. A trampoline or a little table tennis or soccer table.

The walk to to the Beach from the patio is unbelievably short and with a 1 year old that was super convenient! The owner sent us a list of Shops, Hospitals, Doctors, Restaurants and Fun activities to do in the area before we arrived and the staff was phenomenal and super friendly! The security system and security company made us feel so safe and at ease. We forgot about the alarm system one morning and set off the alarm and the security company was there within minutes ensuring that we are safe! Happiness the house keeper was a true blessing, helping us with our washing and keeping the home super clean! Definitely one of the best accommodations we have visited! We felt so at home, we didn't want our holiday to end especially because we had all our fur babies right there with us. Thank you so much to your team for making our holiday so memorable 💖

• Hlengie (10/5): Hlengiwe and family memorable weekend - The management at this beautiful self-catering holiday home were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were immaculate, spotless clean and very comfortable.Kids enjoyed the spacious garden to play around and pool area, we didn't have to worry about safety in and around the house because it's well taken care of. We loved the convenient location close to major attractions and about 3 minutes walk to the beach ⛱️ I can highly recommend Seagulls beach house for family vacation, especially for being children and pets friendly. My highlights for our trip requirements which were met were the entertainment area,pool, braai area, beach ,Seaviews and safety. Check-in and check-out was very professional,thank you Shireen and Maxine❤️ Nothing at all. Maybe just a recommendation to consider automated gate control.

Best part is that it is pet friendly. Unable to use the laundry on your own accord unless you pay R250.00 for a helper to assist with your laundry. Oven not very up to date for baking up some food

• Cheryl (9/5): Fantastic location and facilities for families with furbabies - The location is fantastic. Easy walk to lovely beach with nice tidal pool. Loved that it is fully fenced and can take our fur babies. Full DSTV and wifi is also great. The communication is very good. The main (en-suite) bedroom is small, not enough space next to the bed to put our dogs bed without tripping over it. But other rooms are decent size.

• Suzette (10/5): A real hidden gem on the South Coast - We celebrated our son's 14th birthday here and all he wanted was to spend his birthday at the beach - the house has direct private access to the most beautiful beach with a tidal pool "on your doorstep". Simply superb. Another big plus was how close it actually is to our home - just less than an hours drive. Just far enough to feel like we went away for the weekend buy also close enough that we could drive home for our son's rugby match. The house is plenty big enough and we will definitely be back with our friends in the near future. If I had to be absolutely picky, I'd say the fact that the front gate wasn't motorized. It was a wet, rainy weekend and having to get in and out of the car to open and close the gate was unpleasant.

• J&a1972 (10/5): Fantastic dog-friendly stay right on the beach - Fabulous hosts, idyllic location, relaxed and homely atmosphere with everything you need for a super chilled holiday. Always a pleasure staying at an On The Beach property :-) Nothing we didn't like but would suggest putting up a notice to switch geysers off during power outages so the mains don't trip when the power comes back. Need longer braai tongs and a few more tumblers (we broke one - apologies). Oven also needs some attention - gas burners are not easily adjustable and oven cooks very unevenly. Oh and would suggest heightening the back of the braai to break the prevailing wind. We chose a bad day to braai but as the wind can get pretty strong it might be a good idea just to brick up the wall a bit. Nitpicking really as just about everything is perfect! We'll be back next year :-)
• Nikita (10/5): The best Family holiday ever - We really liked that the place was spacious and free for the kids and adults. There were enough bathrooms and privacy. The kitchen was just so amazing to cook and prepare our meals in whilst enjoying each others company. The confines of every area in the place from the braai area to the lounge, rooms, outside and the beach and tidal pool. Was so private and secure. The safety that is provided here was really so great that we really didnt feel like we had to be afraid that something would happen. Overall best place we have ever stayed in before. I highly highly recommend it. Everything we needed was right there. And the welcome basket was a genuinely nice surprise which made it feel even more welcoming and special. Thank you to Maxine and the owners for the way ul keep such an lovely destination. Not a single complaint what so ever.
