Guest Reviews
- Paul (10/5): Great accomdation - Nice and cozy
- Christopher (10/5): A very old house with a wonderful energy. - Beds don't get more comfy than this. Wonderful location in one of the oldest houses in the village. The food at the pub opposite was incredible and very generous portions. Parking was no issue with plenty of spaces available on the road. If you're lucky enough to get a starry night there, you see loads. Wood burner lovely. Communication with hosts was very fast and they were very understanding that we broke a glass.
I'd strongly recommend a visit to the cider farm which is a 2 minute drive away. Also, well located for a 37 minute drive to St Audrie's Waterfall at St Audrie's Beach (lovely drive too).
Internet was good throughout the property.
Also, great 5 minutes walk to the Weir which was beautiful.
Logs for wood burner can be bought at the farm shop, which is 3 minutes drive away.
2 toilets very useful for larger group.
Really liked the lamps upstairs with adjustable orange glow (helped the kids get to sleep).

- Anthony (10/5): Would definitely stay again - Location Nothing
- Gabbie (10/5): Cosy, warm, very clean character cottage - If you want a warm, homely, quiet, stay away from home this is perfect with a fabulous pub just a stones throw away! Comfy beds with clean hotel style bedding, fluffy towels, everything you need even dog bowels and blankets provided! WiFi wasnt always great but tbh it made us watch a few old dvds provided on a rainy New Year’s Day which we probably wouldn’t have done and loved it! Kirsty the host was very informative with check in details which were provided 24 hours before which also is a freshing change! Thanks again for a wonderful break away! Nothing
- Catherine (6/5): Pleasant -
- James (7/5): Good - Could do with better lighting, led strip light in the dining room doesn't seem to fit with village cottage feel thats projected - lack of sockets if you have things to charge, other than that, its quite a nice place to stay.
- Brooke (8/5): Great place to stay just could benefit from a little more storage - The garden was brilliant for the dogs. We had a washing machine to clean our clothes and oven to cook food. The fridge and freezer were big enough for the short stay The lack of storage for clothes. The house could benefit from either a small chest of drawers or a small wardrobe or even a clothes rail in the other room. And could benefit from other plug sockets in the room that the wardrobe is in since some are behind that wardrobe.
- James (8/5): Lovely cosy cottage x - Clean, easy, cosy
Tea, coffee and milk Nothing, ohh, sharp knives need sharpening!!
(Don’t worry, loads of places don’t, winds me up 🤣)
- Jennifer (8/5): perfect little spot for a family getaway - cosy, homey, across from a pub, easy to park poor Wi-Fi and head bumps for anyone over 5’7”
- M (8/5): Very good - Needed accommodation close to a wedding venue that comfortably provided for 3 adults. Fitted the bill and was homely, value for money and provided the essentials
- Jill (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely cottage cosy and clean nice garden kind hosts thank you Nothing
- Jack (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good - Very comfortable rooms. Nice characterful building. All equipment and facilities in good condition. Parking was sometimes difficult with customers from the pub over the road parking on the street.
- Andrew (10/5): Great stay nice sleep recommended - Lovely little cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Beds were super comfortable and had a nice sleep.
White horse pub is a must with great food served. Nothing.
- Simon (10/5): Exceptional - We had a wonderful long weekend at the Snuggery. This lovely little cottage was spotlessly clean, comfortable and very well presented. Kirsty was quick to respond to any questions we had and made our stay feel very relaxed. It all worked perfectly and we’ll definitely be coming back. The pub right opposite was a great bonus and served top class food. Thanks Kirsty.
- Cath (8/5): Very good -
- Helen (9/5): Perfect for our needs. - Very convenient location opposite a pub that does great food. Secure garden which was ideal for dogs, and a lovely river walk nearby. Comfortable beds and a cosy space. There were no egg cups! A very minor defect!
- James (9/5): Superb -
- Kerry (10/5): Extremely clean and had everything we needed for a one night stay. Thanks. - Extremely clean and had everything we needed for a night’s stay. Nothing.
- Ian (10/5): Very relaxing - Everything Nothing
- Steven (8/5): Comfy country cottage - Quiet comfortable property in a pleasant village. The cottage is well named, it is indeed snug. The cottage is clean and has all the amenities required. The host is responsive. It is convenient having the pub and village store just across the road. The wi-fi relies on a good 4G signal.
- Ibw123 (8/5): It easily met our expectations. - Nothing
- Angela (9/5): A wonderful stay in a beautiful cottage, so restful and welcoming - The cottage was very welcoming and homely. All of the furnishings were lovely, the beds very comfy, the matching sofas, chairs and dining tables made the rooms look super too. The garden would have been lovely to use had the weather been better and the parking was so easy across the road.
We ate twice in the White Horse pub opposite and travelled easily to the North coast to Dunster, Horner Woods, Selworthy and surrounding areas. The village was beautifully quiet, I've not slept so well for a long time :-) x It may be useful for some guests to be provided with user guides for the appliances and tv etc but there was nothing we didn't like - a great job by the hosts, thank you.
- Reena (6/5): Pleasant -
- Joan (9/5): Superb -
- Russell (10/5): Amazing and completely unique - Amazing from start to finish. Kirsty was amazing keeping me updated. Left my Apple Watch and Kirsty posted it FOC Nothing
- Sharon (9/5): Superb - clean and tidy. pretty location. although there was a toilet on suite in one of the bedrooms. those using the other bed room had to go down stairs to use the bathroom during the night.
