Guest Reviews
- Carl (6/5): Would go back - Was nice little cottage Nothing really was nice
- Emily (10/5): - The cottage is small but lovely.. It also has the benefit of the use of the garden which is a very short distance away. We found it to have everything we needed for a self catering holiday. Buckfastleigh is lovely and there is so much to do around here. The only criticism is that there are no wardrobes and very minimal space to unpack clothes. This wasn't an issue for me as I was happy to not have to unpack a case for once!
- Annabel (7/5): Small but suited to a small family. - The property was the perfect size for me and my baby daughter for the 3 nights we were there. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen amenities were good. The house guide and map were really useful. The parking was not suitable for a big car, and the car parks around the area were full when I came back, so that was a challenge with a baby. The bin outside was difficult to find as the house number had faded, and the house upstairs was hot and the window in the double room wouldn’t open easily which resulted in the owner coming to have a look the next day.
- Zsuzsanna (10/5): Lovely, cozy cottage, perfect for short holidays - Beautiful little cozy cottage.
Location is superb. 5 minutes from the open-air swimming pool; shops, cafes also in walking distances.
Thank you for the welcome pack, with fresh bread, butter and cheese.
Anytime we had problems (WiFi or any other technical issues) host responded promptly with detailed answers to the questions. Thank you! Fridge, saucepans were a bit dirty , and we only had 3 mugs not 4.
- R.trevallion (6/5): Lovely location, quaint cottage, - The cottage is situated in a quiet side road and is peaceful. It is quaint and retains typical features for a cottage of that period - stone walls and wooden floors. The bedrooms are light and sunny. The garden, although a short walk away, is sunny and quite private. Katie, my contact at Booking for this stay, was very helpful when it came to resolving issues and taking on feedback. The place unfortunately hadn't been properly cleaned, I found debris under the sitting room furniture, surfaces hadn't been properly wiped / mopped. I had a significant interruption to the internet service owing to a change in supplier during my stay (I was there for work which made things challenging). The cottage is very sweet but badly in need of some maintenance and TLC, especially in the bathroom; when this work is complete it will be a gem.
- Jan (8/5): Our great cottage was a big part of a very happy holiday - Our stay was a very happy experience. The terraced house is lovely inside and out. People who lived in the same area made us feel very welcome which was an important part of the holiday. It was great to be part of a small interesting village. The co op was particularly useful. We had a great meal at a local restaurant It was probably my fault but I had trouble finding the key access number. Soon sorted
Had a few problems with the tv so the owner came over and worked out the problem. Thank you we
