L'atmosfera è elegante e autentica, con grande attenzione ai dettagli e al comfort degli ospiti. Posizione eccellente per vivere il centro storico e scoprire il territorio. Personale cordiale e professionale. Un soggiorno molto piacevole in una location ricca di carattere.

• Irma (8/5): - Pulito e ben posizionato Colazione un po' scarsa alto il prezzo per quello che offre ( in bagno che il bagnoschiuma sia quello nelle bustine monodose e che non ci sia un caffè né niente di offerto non lo vedevo da tempo). Capisco la posizione nel centro di Montepulciano ma siamo stati in posti altrettanto centrali con approccio diverso e maggiore cura ai dettagli.

And the staff very personable! A space to relax either in the room or somewhere within the hotel would have nice to come back to at the end of the day.

Sicuramente ci torneremo per un prossimo soggiorno a montepulciano

• Andrea (10/5): Semplicemente tutto perfetto - Posizione centralissima a pochi metri dalla piazza, pulita ordinata calda, camera elegante e spaziosa. Colazione varia e casalinga veramente ottima, e infine il ragazzo che ci ha accolto é molto gentile e preparato, ci ha anche aspettato oltre l’orario del check in. Possiamo solo ringraziarlo per averci fatto passare un bellissimo weekend

• Igor (5/5): - Localização muito boa, cama confortável. As fotos não condizem com a realidade do quarto, além do aspecto mais antigo, o chuveiro inundava todo o banheiro pois o ralo provavelmente estava entupido, o café da manhã é mt fraco, não oferece o básico e no último dia nem iogurte tinha.

• John (10/5): Very nice hotel...but getting there... - Comfortable room in a very nice hotel, nice bathroom and big shower by Italian standards. Front desk staff was very kind, helpful and spoke good English. Hotel staff Allesio went the extra mile finding us a taxi at 6am to get to train station. Location was close to restaurants and sights but very far walk uphill like all Tuscany hill towns-- horrible walk with luggage after being scammed and overcharged by a taxi driver and dropped at the base of the town instead of at or very near the hotel. Google maps was bad, too...directed us to the BACK of the hotel where no entrance existed, so we had to walk up yet another hill to front entrance of the hotel.

O banheiro é excelente , bonito, novinho e grande O fato de ser no primeiro andar, com apenas escadas para subir . Com malas, não é a coisa mais simples. Como sabíamos que teríamos que deixar o carro fora do centro, viemos com duas malinhas de mão, o que ajudou. Mas não mencionava isso na descrição. Café da manhã com muitas coisas diferentes e faltando o básico, tipo manteiga e queijo.

It's a great location - hard not to be though, Montepulciano is small. But the hosts were communicative and you could tell they cared about our comfort. And breakfast was delicious. Nothing.

• Annette (9/5): A Tuscan Gem! - I loved the location, very close to Piazza Grande, right in the middle of Montepulciano! The room was a little small but comfortable and very clean. The staff were friendly and very helpful, especially Simone, who organised transport for us to a wedding we were attending at Hotel Lupaia. I would recommend this hotel and I would stay here again. The size of the room, I would pay extra next time for the larger room upstairs. There was no view from our room. The breakfast choices were limited but still adequate.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the incredibly friendly and helpful Alessio, who made us feel right at home. Alessio went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect, and his attention to detail was truly impressive. He is very freindly and very helpful! The breakfast was a feast for the senses! With a wide variety of delicious options, there was something to satisfy every palate. From fresh pastries and fruits and cold cuts, we were spoiled every morning when we stoped by and sat down for breakfast. The hotel itself was beautifully remodeled and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The rooms were spacious and clean. Plus, the views from our room were simply breathtaking! This is the perfect Hotel to stay at in Montepulciano. One of the things we loved most about Palazzo del Mercante was its convenient location. It was just a short walk to the center of Montepulciano, making it easy to explore the charming town and its many attractions. We absolutely loved our stay at Palazzo del Mercante and can't wait to return. Alessio made us feel like family, and the hotel itself was a perfect base for exploring the beautiful Tuscan countryside. If you're looking for a truly memorable experience in Montepulciano, look no further this is an incredible hotel! We are coming back again and again! All was perfect!
• Tim (9/5): Very comfy with modern amenities. - We stayed just one night. The room was clean and safe. Continental breakfast was fresh. I also loved the building, the windows, the shutters. An old building with all new modern conveniences (like rain shower and water wand). Amazing views and lovely little walk to Piazza Grande. Very nice staff. Oh, we were right next to a lovely chocolate shop. There are three rooms that are connected by the breakfast room. It was a little strange for me to step out of my room and into the place people were having breakfast. Not bad, just strange. It got us all talking right away which was fun.

Excellent location - step out the front door straight into the centre of town with lots of options for dinner/food. The breakfast was from 0800 but wasn't ready until 0830 on one of the days during our stay - didn't affect our plans but could make timing difficult with departures etc. A single swipe card access made it difficult for one person to remain in the room whilst another left - had to buzz at the front door to get let back in.

• Don (10/5): Perfect place to stay for several days while exploring this gorgeous medieval mountaintop village. - The Palazzo del Mercante is at the heart of the old historic center of beautiful Montepulciano! Not like a typical hotel with a big lobby, etc., it instead is a boutique-style residency hotel with large comfortable rooms and a modern bathroom and shower. Gabriella and her sons are kind and delightful and there whenever you need them. Breakfast is modest but always delicious and more than enough. We had a wonderful long weekend there! All good.
