Sofia (7/5): Lovely base if you would like to explore Thamel for a good price - The location is amazing, the rooms are clean and there is hot water :) The wifi didn't work, the toilets were not often clean or the doors could not close and the bed spring was quite unconfy.

Bärbel (8/5): Hostel in guter Lage - Gute Lage nahe vieler Sehenswürdigkeiten und Restaurants. Das Bett im Mehrbettzimmer war bequem und mit einem Vorhang ausgestattet, Steckdose am Bett. Nette Mitarbeiter. Die Duschen empfand ich als unpraktisch, da es keine Möglichkeiten gab seine Sachen abzustellen.

Bianca (5/5): Good location, thin walls - The shower was nice and hot. Balcony was quite nice. Good location. The walls are sooooo thin, you can hear everything, from exact details of conversations, to scripts of YouTube videos being watched to bodily functions… we got almost no sleep. Obviously, this could be different based on who is staying and how thoughtful of others they are, but be aware of the thin walls.

No hubo agua caliente en las habitaciones privadas en los 9 días q estuve y en las duchas comunes sólo algún día. El primer día no nos dieron de desayunar pq dormían. Y los días q madrugamos por excursión no tuvieron el detalle de darnos algo para llevar siendo q estaba el desayuno incluido. Había suciedad y las instalaciones muy viejas. Mal servicio en general

ARAKI (8/5): Nice but some problem - It'slocated in the ceetral city, and could Nepalian artistic outfits of hostel and room. The wall is thin, so could easily hear noise like someone's talking voice and so on. And, the staff said he would manage taxi to the airport for me, but he started book a taxi in the morning I have to go. But at that day, that was a kind of national holiday so no transportation including taxi, it took so much time to find the taxi so I was about to miss my flight. That was really serious problem for me.

Eva (9/5): Nice hostel with perfect location - Super chilled vibe, 3 balconies to chill out and very friendly employees. Breakfast was good, location was awesome in Thamel in a quieter area so not noisy at night. As it was not busy in the hostel we just used the shared bathrooms on the floor for the hot shower which was fine. Hot shower was not working in our private room & to reach the room you have to walk through a dormitory which was a bit funny tho.

Selin (7/5): Good - Run by a family. Thus, they tend to your needs with such care that you feel like you are part of the family. They are extremely helpful! When you aren't content with something they immediately help you according to your needs. The location is great because you are in Thamel, but the hostel is in a very quiet alley. That peaceful ambient is very needed amid the chaos of Kathmandu. Lack of hot water, but that is the case of even many houses in Nepal. The kitchen can be more hygienic.

Hostel is owned by 3 brothers and they are very helpful with anything you might need! They also have a tourist agency and I booked my trekking trip with them and I was very happy with it as well! The service is 5+! The bathrooms could have been a bit updated but everything is clean and working!

Thamel Market is closed about 100 m to E. and there are many different shops around in everywhere. Tourist Bus St. that is far about 800 m to N.W., there is no, it’s just Intercity Buses lined beside the platform at early morning. Local city Buses or Mini Buses stop around v. big Park /Garden to go all interested places including 5 UNISCO Temples around, some of them you can catch by Walking, and So, you can walk about 2 km S.E. to get big Green Bus to Airport that far 6 km E. only against 25 NPR Ticket Or ride Mini Bus go to “Bhaktapur” that run front of Airport gate Or Motorcycle =200 Rs. Or Taxi = around 700 Rs., the price increase in Evening, - ROOM: is Budget Twin Room with 1 Bunk Bed each one has its own Light, Socket, and Fan (At, Dormitory Room add also its own Curtain). The room also contain Laptop Safe with its own key. - Shared BATHRoom: Each floor has 3 Showers with Hot water & 2 Toilets & 1 Basin with mirror & they give you Towel +Soap +Shampoo sachet. - HOTEL: is from 3 floors each one has front Balcony street view & the rear one green view. There is Sitting area at Gr. Floor includes TV and common Kitchen, you can use fridge or for fast cooking and including 24 hr. free normal /hot drinking Water machine. - Breakfast: was free for Genius of Booking start 08 to 10:00 from: scrambled fried Egg +mixed cooked Vegetables +Jam +2 Toasts +black Tea or/ Coffee. - STAFF: It’s operated by V.G. Brothers that they are V. Help with many Info. They gave me excellent Map can let me freely move around without Taxi and arrange to me Kettle at my room as my request during reservation. I saw them present free BR for a couple just check in in the morning also, they will present it at v. early check out and also, they also gave for another couple local Gifts at check out. - Room: is without Window and Sound Insulation so you can listen the other guests. - Hotel: is without Roof top or Garden.
Jules (8/5): Very good - Susan is very kind and tries to accommodate all your needs to give you the best stay. The location is perfect! The price is also great. The walls of the private rooms don't reach all the way to the ceiling and so it sounds like you are sharing the room with the dormitory anyway.

Pol (9/5): Great place to stay in Thamel on a budget - The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. They kept our bags safely as we went trekking for a week. The location is super central. Value for money was excellent! Drinking water and hot water are available in the common areas, and the breakfast was good. The wifi at times didn't work for us. The private room has quite thin walls, so you hear what's happening in the dorm.

Anna (6/5): They need to improve lots of things - The staff seemed to be nice and helpful, trying to solve all the issues and all of my requests. A bed was fine. Location is very nice on a quiet street of Thamel. Well, I booked a female dorm on the first floor but it appeared to be a passage room so all the men could pass it and even be in the same bathroom. Also one men slept in a female dorm. Besides that, it was really cold because of the location of the room. It was not comfortable to have a shower because the room is not completely closed so it was cold and not comfy. Toilet room was just disgusting sometimes. Maybe it’s fine on another floors, I am not sure. All the walls seem to be like paper, very thin and no sound isolation. No hairdryer. I didn’t like the breakfast, it was too unhealthy for me.
Maxim (10/5): Great comfy experience! - Great to have my private room after a long time backpacking for a very reasonable price in Thamel, but in a cheap relaxed and clean part. The personel was super nice, and I could pay by card, very comfy. I recomand! The shower was temporarily not working, however the common showers worked perfect, I was told it would be fixed the next day, but I only stay for 1 night, so I cannot tell. Be mind, there is not much sound isolation, and the door is big enough, but there is space above it to the next room, also not really covering sound, but I honnestly didn’t mind at all

Private room was not private - wall above the doorframe was missing, door opened straight into a 10-12 bed dorm room, en suite bathroom had no hot water but could have hot shower in communal bathroom, en suite bathroom water stopped working for approx 12 hours on one day.

They will help you with everything and one can have good chats with all of them. The breakfast was very good as well. I was so lucky to have one dinner as well which was very good as well. The bed cabins are great, there is enough space for the Backpack and the locker seems very safe as well. Thank you so much for everything!
