Guest Reviews
- Mandy (2/5): It was very frustrating! - Well for starters they said on Booking.com that they had a Continental breakfast, which they didn't. It showed themed rooms and they didn't. The first night we got there, the computer system was down and she said that she didn't know how long it would be before they were up and running and I asked about how long because we had just been on a 9 1/2 hr drive and she said, "We'll let me just go ahead and put y'all in a room." And we said, "ok", because we were exhausted. When we got into the room, the curtains didn't even shut and as we were trying to tape them shut so nobody could see in, she came and said, "Well let me put y'all in this different room that's nicer." When she put us in that room, my Mom accidentally spilled some water on the floor and we used a towel to clean it up and the towel was completely brown. We were too tired to say anything and there was just a note on the lobby door anyway stating that if you needed assistance please call this number. Next morning when we wanted to ask her if she could please clean the room, the note was still there, so I called it and she came out of one of the hotel rooms. She was very nice & helpful but she told us that she got about a foot of dirt off of the floor!! That's disgusting! Then that next day we had red flashing light on our door and we were locked out and we had our guests with us and some groceries and it was hot outside, so she put us in another room and apologized. Well after an hour we had to go and we still couldn't get in to the room. After a couple hours later when we get back, the door was still locked and I was getting very discouraged with this place! They ended up having to give us the master key to the hotel so that we could get in and out. They can't and fixed it the next afternoon. There was no wifi, it was a Roku TV in the room. Other than all that we enjoyed our trip. I won't ever be back to that hotel.
- Brummer (6/5): For the price, it was fine for a one night stay. - We didn't set an alarm, but it went off at midnight. We couldn't see how to shut it off, so we just pushed buttons. It went off again (snooze?) and then again at 6:00. It's hard-wired, so we couldn't unplug it.
- Joanne (8/5): - It was handy, close to where I was visiting and peaceful. The rooms towels were stained, the bed was super hard, I had to ask for the TV remote. Couldn't find the ice machine, continental breakfast or coffee would have been nice.
- Jeremy (5/5): - Hard bed and I had to wait for someone to show up to get into my room cuz no one was available
- Julie (5/5): We'll try anything at least once - It was in the town we had to do business in. It did have parking for our truck and trailer. Our ESA dogs were welcomed. We've tried the other hotels in the town and hoped this one would be better. It is on the National historic register and the architecture is unique. 1. Price: originally quoted 4 star rate for 2 star hotel. Thankfully we used Booking.com for best rate.
2. Location: At intersection of several busy highways with loud traffic noise. Our room was 15' from the street.
3. Facilities: Toilet flushed very poorly, water on floor behind toilet, no drinking cups, no tissues, alarm clock had wrong time and it couldn't be changed so we unplugged it. Wall mounted light cord was 6" too short to reach wall outlet so we couldn't use it. Curtains were too long and covered air/heat unit so you could close curtains OR have air but not both.
- Alan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Twila (4/5): Bed was comfortable and shower worked. - No breakfast served. Lock on door was not secure and television set didn't work.
- Alan (2/5): yuck. - It might be on the historic register but that does not mean you should sleep there. Smelled like weed. I felt less than safe. It was old. Tear it down and put up a nice hotel please. The peoe who worked there seemed nice, I just will never stay there again and would not recommend it to anyone.
