Guest Reviews
- Eusebio (5/5): - La playa No había luz en las habitaciones, no funcionaban bien los aires acondicionados , no estaba bien circulado,
- Fernandez (10/5): Exceptional -
- Guy (10/5): Very positive experience - Can't wait to go back! - We had a family vacation with 9 people including children as young as 10 and adults over 70. I have stayed at other resorts in El Salvador at the beach and in the mountains. I really liked this location because it had a bedroom downstairs and 2 upstairs, air conditioning in all bedrooms, a nice-sized kitchen, a pool that had shade, a large, covered patio so everyone could spread out, and multiple sitting areas. We also enjoyed the hammocks and direct access to the beach and estuary. The caretakers were wonderful people. The owners were also professional and easy to work with. I’m a tall person and must say the bed was very comfortable. We also enjoyed nature, including the birds, iguanas and the boat ride in the estuary. I really enjoyed the property. Here are some things to consider. Barra de Santiago takes a while to get to, so you must plan accordingly. It feels more like a sleepy beach pueblo than a big city with a mall. The roads can be narrow, and travel can be slow. Some roads have potholes. It doesn't have a Surf City in La Libertad or El Tunco vibe. It feels more like a retreat than a fiesta. It’s actually a positive if you want a quiet place with privacy and fewer tourists. Just get your supplies in a larger town and the caretakers can help you if you miss a few things. The other thing is you are close to the ocean, and it can be unnerving if it’s your first time.
