Guest Reviews
- Richard (10/5): It was very relaxing, beautiful facilities, room, restaurant, personnel very nice - Exceptional environment, beautiful room second floor overlooking rice fields
- Famke (10/5): -

- Jennifer (8/5): - Great facilities and very kind staff. The smell from the drains in the bathroom filled the room, if the bathroom door wasn’t closed.
- Nicolas (9/5): Le personnel est très agréable et à l’écoute. L’accès aux structures de l’hôtel (piscine restaurant) est très appréciabl - La gentillesse du personnel et la qualité de la nourriture Le sol de la salle de bain reste mouillé
- Constanza (10/5): wonderful - We have to acknowledge the help your receptionist provided us; she was truly wonderful, always helpful and with a smile. We really can't express our gratitude for the wonderful time we had. If the manager or owner reads this, we'd like you to congratulate the excellent receptionist on our behalf. We're truly grateful to her.

- Zanni (8/5): Cannot recommend the people in their staff here enough, they were so kind and lovely. - The food was wonderful, as were the amazing staff, they went over and above in making my son have the most amazing 15th birthday away from Home. He will never forget it. Bathroom facilities were a little average, but everything else is wonderful.
- Kellie (6/5): Wonderful staff but disappointing room - You could use the amenities and the included breakfast was at the sister hotel next door, the staff were all very friendly. The room we had was very clean as was the building. The room we were allocated was tiny with 2 very small windows and no balcony/outside area nothing at all like the images and I feel this room should have been cheaper than the 2 with balconies and you should be informed before confirming that this is the room being allocated. The bathroom Although clean had a constant sewage smell.
- Peter (10/5): - Everything Nothing
- Natallia (10/5): - It is in a chick part of Sidemen, with beautiful lights on the trees in the evening. Flowers are everywhere , musik made by children, a commented walk with a local guide for free! Really, I liked it:)
- Piovarčiová (10/5): The staff there is absolutely lovely, when u arrive you have to chek in to Villa Tabola reception, but they will help yo - Everything was beautiful, the food in the restaurant and pool is at beautiful Villa Tabola. -
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Miller-schreiner (10/5): Relaxing, helpful, and lovely. - The people here were so nice and treated us so well. We will be back for for sure and will recommend it to friends. They helped us with numbers for local drivers, suggestions for things to do, and some medicine when my partner’s tummy was a little upset near the end of our stay.
They have some free activities such as a 1-hour rice field tour that was informative and the guide was so nice. They have kids from the town come play gamelan music and learn about a bunch of other things and that was wonderful to us. Check out what they have to offer when you are there.
They have a great breakfast and they give you a delicious welcome drink when you arrive at the place. Great views and a great value. They respond to WhatsApp messages very quickly.
I cannot recommend this place enough. One of the nicest experiences I’ve had staying at a place while traveling. Nothing! Enjoyed it all.
- Jocelyn (8/5): Very good -
- Kesuma (8/5): Very good -
- William (6/5): Removed from chaos of public. Rural setting amongst farm fields. - Staff were very kind and helpful. Free transportation to Sidemen locations. Whitewater rafting day trip was a fun experience.
Nice setting looking out over a valley.
Spa available for massages.
Easy walking distance to Sidemen. My room was a couple minutes walk down the hill from the general facilities. There are rooms at the general facilities but none were vacant while I was there. Where my room was located children gather on a regular daily basis and play instruments loudly.
- Lisa (7/5): Great for price, free cultural activities and use of pool & yoga next door amazing! - Being able to use facilities of next door property Aircon not great, bit noisy, though I think I just wanted fresh air! Smell from toilet put me off.
- Jack (9/5): Peaceful stay in the mountains. - Lovely tidy little room and the views over the rice fields from the shared balcony were amazing. Being able to use the facilities of the adjoining hotel was a real bonus - pool was very good and a great yoga session one morning (free, but the idea is you tip them). Location is great and only a few minutes walk from a few restaurants / coffee shops The road getting out is a little steep, but fine if you’re ok with a bit of a walk/ or have a scooter.
- Maria (8/5): Very good - The room was very comfortable and I was lucky to get the downstairs room, that had a little living room area and a verandah. This accommodation is connected to near by Subak Tabola Villa, so you can use their facilities. They have pool, good restaurant with amazing view, free tea, coffee, water, yoga some days. I spent most of my time at pool or villa restaurant. Location! Booking.com placed location in wrong place, check Google for more accuracy. This hotel is quite out of town, so if you don't hire scooter, it's isolating. There's a really steep hill if you want to walk to town, which is 30+ min away. Some restaurants are closer, but in the evening going up that hill was too much, so I ate at villa restaurant every day.
Other wise minor things, shower in middle of bathroom, so the whole room will get wet. Aircon not great, but my room (downstairs) stayed relatively cool
- Gabriel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ashley (7/5): Good -
- Lucia (6/5): Pleasant -
- Maria (10/5): Superb - Great stay! Staff were amazing.
Nice sets of complimentary activities available on site like rice fields trekking, bicycle rides, children musical and cultural activities.
Breakfast was abundant.
Love the ability to use villa pool and facilities. Theres early morning plastic burning next door which makes it unpleasant to wake up to the smell of smoke.
- Amelie (10/5): Exceptional - Everything about this property was amazing. From the welcome drink, to the children’s foundation, the stunning views and pool. We were made to feel very welcome. They are attached to the hotel next door which isn’t advertised but you get to use all the hotel facilities. We did the free hour trek in the morning and our guide was brilliant! He was so informative and he told us some very interesting facts whilst taking us around the rice terraces and gardens and a traditional balinese house. The food was delicious too with yet again another beautiful view.
- Razvan (3/5): Not appropriate for a peaceful and quality holiday - Sidemen is a really nice place, not very busy, with great rice terraces and landscapes. Location is close to a series of restaurants, a scooter rental and massage place. We had as complimentary a rice terrace tour with a local guide and by chance a balinese dance organised for a larger group and we could also watch the show. Breakfast was included but The house is a typical bali house with ventilation holes in the doors and walls(ac is mostly useless and noisy), so every little noise is heard and the building is next to a local house and a prayer place. Every morning starting 5 am you have LOTS of smoke in the room and outside, roosters singing, dogs barking, some scooters driving by, ceremonies and complimentary the local fauna that is also in your room many times. You can hear the water system everytime someone is using the water, kids practicing local tradition every day from 3pm to 6. So extremely noisy! The bathroom and kitchen have a lot of rusty elements, some mold, humidity and little ventilation. This accomodation should not be used for tourist that come to holiday for rest and fun.
- Rafael (9/5): Beautiful place to unwind - We stayed here two nights and could have stayed much longer. The room was very cozy and clean and the surroundings just amazing. The place is surrounded by lush green nature and rice fields. For breakfast, you get to eat at the 4star hotel next door, and you can also use the pool there. Everyone is very friendly.
- Filip (8/5): Very good - Very nice and professional personel.
Nice room with cool mosquito net.
Fantastic view from the window.
You can use facilities from the nearby hotel (pool, restaurant etc)
Staff offered welcome drink and foot massage.
We received breakfast package when leaving before breakfast time.
Working AC.
Quiet and private location.
A kettle and filtered water in the room. A large lizard sleeping on the ceiling. Staff could not get rid of it, but we made a new friend eventually.
Lizard poo.
A lot of rust in the bathroom.
- Lucie (10/5): Wonderful place in Sidemen! - Wonderful quiet place! It’s linked to the hotel, with access to all of the hotel facilities (yoga, pool, restaurant, spa/massage center). In the morning you hear the local prayers and offerings. In the afternoon, the local children gather and play music at the children’s foundation downstairs. It was so nice to hear their music and laughter. I had a beautiful room with a great balcony space and gorgeous view! I loved it!
- Guinevere (10/5): Hidden Gem - Loved it here. The staff was so nice and friendly. I did the cooking class with Sri and she was a great teacher, and so sweet and kind. The rooms are right next to the children’s foundation and in the afternoon you can hear the kids practicing dance and music. The staff are very proud of the kids and I was lucky enough to watch them perform on my last night. There are lots of activities available like morning yoga and paid spa treatments which were worth the money. If I ever come back to Sideman I hope to stay here again. The facility is very well taken care of and the staff put a lot of care into their work.
- Veena (8/5): Very good -
- Gregory (10/5): The staff led by Ibu ATI were what really made this place great - Excellent value for money.
Staff very friendly, reached out to help and excellent service. More explanation when we first arrived on all the facilities, services and options available.
- Verhelst (8/5): Very good - Warm and personal welcome and service by all staff, in a beautiful setting and access to activities and pool nearby.
