Guest Reviews
- Claire (1/5): Didn’t get to stay the host cancelled an hour before check in leaving us stranded - The host cancelled our booking an hour before we were due to arrive
- Jorge Alberto (3/5): - Location 1. No blanckes for guest bed
2. Not enough towels
No internet access
- Martyn (2/5): Tiring - The place was a good size, bottle of wine on arrival. Fun touch is the pool table come table tennis table. Clean and well presented rooms. Contacting the owner was problematic. Never answered his phone and getting answers was hard. Didn’t find out about the key until 1pm of our first day. The nightclub opposite was loud and went on until around 2am, so not a lot of sleep and the mattress was too hard for my liking.
- Paul (6/5): -
- Katie (5/5): Nice apartment, but too noisy for what we wanted - Close to amenities, would suit younger clientele. The noise, the pub underneath didn’t close until 2am. The main door was open and people could freely walk in. The door to accommodation had a key lock but no extra lock inside. Broken toilet seat
- Anonymous (10/5): Thank you for the tea bags love my cuppa 👌🏾 - The whole place, entertainment area kids enjoyed Everything
Well presented will definitely be booking again as it’s nearer my family
- Keith (8/5): Very good -
- Rene (7/5): Good -
- Rachel (8/5): Very good - The apartment was lovely, it was very clean and tidy with nice furnishings. It was in a nice location close to the sea. The children loved the pool table and table tennis table. They also loved the play station. It was very noisy from the band in the pub below and also from the pub across the road. The music didn't finish until 2am and kept us awake until that time.
Just 2 small things with the apartment itself, there was no plug for the kitchen sink which made it difficult to wash up and there were no tea towels.
- Jackie (8/5): Great place, good value shame the noise went on so long - No breakfast. Great location and really well cared for, clean apartment that served our needs. Above a pub and music went on till 2am but would stay again for the convenience and quality of the apartment. Given it was above pub was expecting it to be noisy but not for so long.
- Kaleigh (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location, comfy and clean. Pool table was a massive bonus. Definitely stay here again
- Kate (1/5): Horrendously noisy! AVOID!!! - Apartment was nice, clean and well equipped. The booming karaoke from the pub directly downstairs which goes on until 2am along with unlocked entry door next door to pub entrance, not good if you have young kids!
AVOID UNLESS YOU DO NOT LIKE SLEEPING!! absolutely horrendous as a family stay. We left 30 mins after checking in due to unbearable noise and drunken people!! Host wouldn't refund and was rude!!!
You should advertise on the listing that it's directly above a incredibly noisy pub that holds karaoke until 2am!!! Ruined our weekend. Would not recommend to my worst enemy!
- Sharpe (8/5): Comfy Quirky flat near waterfront - Comfy beds, well equipped, fresh greenery and plants 🪴. Great selection of games.
Only a short stroll to harbourside with numerous restaurants and bars overlooking the water.
We only stayed one night, but grandchildren wanted to stay for a week. Unfortunately, when we stayed there, loud music could be heard from across the road until the early hours of the morning.
- Joseph (10/5): Exceptional - It was very clean and new
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (9/5): Poole stay September 20th 2024 - The close proximity to everything on the quay It was noisy until the early hours due to the close proximity of 2 pubs this wasn't an issue with us just could be for other people
- Sharon (8/5): Very good -
- Mandy2681 (7/5): Great for a few days - Family of 5 trip for a birthday celebration. The location was fantastic, tesco express nearby as well as lovely restaurants and the harbour. Accommodation was fairly clean (could do with some improvement). Pool table, xbox was a great touch (had 2 teenagers in our party). Smart TV in the livingroom. Kitchen well equipped. Decor was modern and tastfull. Communication was great with the owner. Lots of toilet paper and towels. Bedding clean and not stained or tatty. Apartment in a busy neighbourhood so can be a bit noisy. Apartment smelt of smoke. However, this is from the locals standing outside the pub below the apartment window smoking. This is obusly no fault of the owners but read in another review about the smell of smoke. I wanted to clarify that it wasn't from people smoking in the apartment.
The glass in the windows are cracked and in one of the rooms has a small hole - we stayed in summer so it's not an issue, it might be in colder weather. We had to keep Windows closed because of the smokers below the apartment but fans and air-conditioning units in the apartment.
Kitchen: Plug missing, so it made washing up difficult. Bin had slimy liquid and food in it (between bag and bin).
Bathroom: relatively clean, but pubic hair found in the bath tub and sink. Steep stairs into bathroom no rails, but non-slip mats have been put down to avoid slips (not a problem for us but could be with small children, elderly or disabled).
Bedrooms' beds were uncomfortable, and mattresses could do with replacing or possibly a mattress topper.
The floors throughout the apartment could do with a good clean... our white socks were black after walking around.
I know I have listed a lot of negatives, but overall, we had a lovely stay. Just expect a bit more for the price we paid.
- Trace (1/5): Don't stay - Done out really nice modern Above a pub music bang bang till 2am never had no sleep .window was broken so u heard even more noise out side .then bin men woke us up at 6am so we had 3hrs sleep every night we stayed
- Ana (10/5): Everything was great and hope to go back again - Everything was good The internet did not work until the day before the last and only for a few hours.
- Christine (1/5): An AWFUL experience - Nothing. Entrance lobby dirty with bare wooden stairs up to first floor.. Apartment not swept or hoovered. Oven and grill not cleaned. No washing up bowl or cleaning materials/products. All 4 mugs cracked
No microwave or toaster... Directly over a pub so very noisy until after 4am.which is not mentioned or seen on advertisement nor that it is opposite a night club and taxi rank so as previous comment again. No soundproofing. No handrail down 3 steps to bathroom
Nowhere to sit properly to eat family meals.
Only stayed one night instead of a week.
Suitable for 18-25 year olds only who booze/party all night and sleep all day!!
- Ezmir (10/5): Exceptional - In the heart of town , easy access to all restaurants and shops Was all perfect
- Julia (4/5): NOT SUITABLE FOR FAMILIES / KIDS - This property is not being advertised correctly and the pictures are misleading - it’s NOT suitable for families due to the fact it’s situated on top and opposite two very Loud /Rowdy drinking establishments ,the noise of drink fuelled customers can be heard in the apartment into the early hours of the morning ,which was very frightening for our child especially when they were banging on the entrance door which is not securely locked at any given time , the windows are not secure which was worrying with a 3 yr old , steps down to the bathroom were dangerous and the bathroom floor had the remnants of someone’s discarded eyelash . We were not given the apartment we thought we had booked and the apartment was nothing like the pictures advertised apart from one photos which was correct , the beds were an issue for our child who had to sleep on a little sofa in between two beds , it says it was non smoking but it smelt very strongly of cigarettes which was unpleasant. Kitchen was missing basic equipment - microwave , toaster and bottle opener . DO NOT BOOK if u want a restful stay we were knackered after two nights of no sleep
- Emma (10/5): lovely apartment - very spacious and amazing location, checking in was abit chaotic but got there in the end
- Abbie (8/5): Would stay again for sure 100% - So much for kids to be entertained while staying at this apartment. Very modern and clean. Being above a bar and opposite and the music and noise till really early hours is the only downfall.
- Kathryn (10/5): The property was a unique find that was perfect. It changed my husbands view on Airbandb’s in a good way. - Loved the location, price, facilities and the pool table That we couldn’t break for another night
- Anita (8/5): Great location - We only wanted a couple of nights in Poole as we planned to go to Brownsea Island for the day. This is an ideal stop if you're planning just one or two nights here.
The location is amazing, well it was for us. It was near to the harbour, very close to the Brownsea Island Ferry port. Its above the Swan Inn pub/restaurant and ice cream place. It's opposite the kiosks that sell fish and chips, tacos, ice cream and coffee. There's another pub opposite and right round the corner is the Lord Nelson pub which we had the pleasure of visiting and also the Jolly Sailor. Its just near to the strip of bars along the harbour.
I thought I was staying in the apartment with the Pool table as I wanted to surprise my partner with this on our 6 year anniversary but it wasn't that apartment with 2 beds. Instead there were four bedrooms! We were spoilt for choice but we chose the bed with the most privacy (sort of).
The view from the lounge was great.
The TV in the bedroom was a Roku one which I have at home so I was able to work this.
Shower worked great.
Fridge was fine for storing little bits for a picnic.
Loved the curves and alcoves and bendy bits of the apartment There were no curtains or blinds in the rooms except for the main room which had bamboo blinds? Opposite was the car park which had lights on all night and from the other window there were block of flats and didn't know if they could see in.
Windows not double glazed so bike night at the pub was noisy.
I think that's the only problem I had. I don't think I could stay longer than two nights.
Definitely not worth the money though. Could be a little cheaper whilst work gets done.
- Meenakshi (9/5): Superb -
- Rolf (6/5): Pleasant - Good location and clean Noisy outside at night so hard to sleep
- Eileen (4/5): Unhappy - The location was excellent. The decor was good. The stairs to the apartment were precarious as the property is a work in progress. There was no sink plug or washing up bowl therefore it was impossible to collect water in the sink to properly was dishes. The floor tile in the kitchen area is badly cracked and became worse every time it was walked on. The bathroom is entered via two down steps. There is no handrail and my Husband fell down the 2 steps. Knocking his head and arm. The cooker was dirty. The ice box in fridge was frozen solid and the fridge temp is too low. The windows are dirty and cracked. It is very noisy as the pub across the road is busy and did not close until after 12 last night. There were no directions to operate the smart TV.
This property is not worth the. money, however good the location.
- Tim (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joe (10/5): Exceptional - Very very clean and close to sea front. Great staff
- Aly (4/5): We were staying one night so we were ok but glad we hadn’t booked for any longer. Too noisy for us. - We wanted a place near to the ferry to Brownsea. This was only 5 minutes away which was perfect. The council car park was also really handy. The pool/table tennis table and darts was a total bonus. When we couldn’t find the place the host was really helpful with directions. We don’t smoke but I think this apartment is regularly used by smokers. Unless the windows were open you could smell it all the time.
We didn’t know until we got the full details but the apartment is opposite a busy karaoke bar, open until 2pm most nights. The windows aren’t double glazed so it was really noisy.
It was hot at night but opening the windows only added to the noise,
Also worth noting- the sash windows have no locks on which would worry me if my son was any younger. And the windows had holes in the glass which little fingers could easily cut themselves on.
