Guest Reviews
- Navarro (10/5): - La anfitriona encantadora muy recomendable
- Wojciech (1/5): - Accommodation is unacceptable. Basic room it looked like HMO
- Greg (3/5): Shit - Clean Bad bed and no facilities
- Graham (5/5): Expensive for the quality. I wouldn’t stay again because of the bed. - Very clean and clinical. Host was very helpful and polite. Not very attractive from exterior. Looked like a converted council house. The bed was very uncomfortable and would benefit from a proper mattress. We had a very poor sleep.
- MIKEL (5/5): -
- emanuele (8/5): - Molto pulito e l'host molto gentile e disponibile La stanza un po' piccola e priva di salviette e phon, ma l'host ha provveduto immediatamente.
- Mason (8/5): - Friendly, clean, and simple. A nice place to crash for the night. There were some pluming issues to navigate.
- Zsuzsanna (10/5): Minden rendben volt. - Kellemes kis szállás egy gyors pihenőre. A szállásadó kedves és figyelmes, a szoba tiszta és rendezett. Rövid séta a belváros.
- Alex (9/5): Good value - Fairly priced and comfortable. Kind and responsive hosts. The location is a bit remote (15-20 minutes from the station) and not well serviced by bus. Could be an inconvenience with heavier luggages.
- Andrew (4/5): Disappointing - Location was good and had good access to shops. The location is OK but this is not a hotel, it's a couple of rooms in an ex-council house let to bookings. To start off the room is very small with a double bed just about fitting. At it's maximum size the room was probably 3 metres x 4 metres and that includes the shower. There was a kettle and 2 cups but no tea, coffee or milk. The bed and bedding was clean but the mattress was very thin and cheap, not a comfy sleep. We had 2 nights but one would have been enough. The price we paid is what you would pay for a better hotel but what you get is basically not even a bedsit. I would say it is well overpriced for what you get. Cost us £194 for 2 nights. I think £100 for 2 nights would be more like it. I would say this place is only recommended if you're stuck for somewhere to stay. They have an odd policy where you have to take your shoes off to enter the premises. There's sandals near the front door to use but best bring your own to avoid any nasty foot fungus infections.
- Alexander (2/5): Worst’s b&b I have stayed at in 50 years - No Breakfast, the bed was son uncomfortable we couldn’t sleep left at 4:30 in the morning. The add said double bedroom, it was a small 3/4 size bed. Very uncomfortable. No tv in the room. There was a kettle but no tea, coffee or milk.
We were asked to remove our shoes at the front door.
- Linith (7/5): Good -
- Ela (9/5): Very clean and great value for money - The location is great- in the city centre and close to supermarkets. The area is quiet, and the room was very clean, which really impressed us. The owner is very responsive and friendly; when we asked for a hairdryer, he brought one within a minute.
Some reviewers gave lower scores due to the lack of a TV or tea, but it's important to remember this is a lodging, not a hotel. Considering the cleanliness and the price, I would definitely stay here again if I come to Inverness. There was a slight smell of damp or mould, but it didn't bother us- it's quite common in buildings in Scotland, especially given the climate
- Josephine (3/5): Poor - It was very quiet and good security. It smelled unclean and the mattress was so thin. I would have loved a spoon or tea bag. There was nothing warm or welcoming about the room.
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- S.b. (10/5): Super clean, friendly, extremely affordable stay - This place has so many bad reviews and I sincerely cannot fathom why. We were scheduled to arrive well within the listed check-in times but got extremely lost on the way, which led to our actual arrival taking place over two hours after listed check-in times. We contacted the owner from the road and he was super responsive and kind about it, welcoming us in the middle of the night with a lot of patience and a smile on his face. The actual property is minimalist and super clean thanks to everyone being asked to take off their shoes at the front door. Our room had a view of the back garden, the whole area is very quiet but you can reach the town centre on foot in 15 minutes. In terms of value for money, this place is incomparable to any other options in the area. Would stay here again anytime.
- Michelle (8/5): Very good -
- Gemma (2/5): Prison room style - Landlord was pleasant
Room and toilet was clean Not a lodge when advertised as one when it's a spare room.
Bed was cheap squeaky and lumpy
Mine and my wife's backs are broken
No teabags /coffee milk or even a spoon to stir your own brought with you stuff.
No tv arrived at 5pm after a long drive
And there was nothing to wind down with
For 74 pound a night could have offered at least a couple teabags
The room is designed in a very basic and unwelcome feel to it
We left before 7am
And was awake most of the night with a sore back
Should be advertised as just a bed and not a lodge
Definitely the worst stay me and my wife have ever had
P.s.shoes left at down stairs lobby at request of landlord
- Michele (4/5): Disappointing - It was reasonably clean although there was a smell from the bathroom. Outrageously over priced!
Location was poor.
Cramped room.
Uncomfortable beds.
- Andrew (1/5): Never Again - Nothing Poor quality mattress would be an understament my dog sleeps on a better bed.No spoon to stirring a drink
Poor quality 1 towel old and smelly bedding old ruby and old
Bedbframe cheap rattle and Poor quality.
- Kateřina (8/5): Very good - Not much comfortable bed.
- Jaime (3/5): Poor - It was quiet Wifi didn’t work, toilet was super noisy, bedroom window didn’t open properly
- Kristine (5/5): Passable - The bed was uncomfortable, no soap for bathroom just used bottles of body wash. Minimal amenities.
- Irene (8/5): Very good - The room was super clean and the owner very friendly and helpful! The location is a bit far from the center, but early accessible with a nice walk
- Sophie (6/5): Pleasant - Location
Personal very helpful and available No amenities (boiler but no coffee or tea)
No carpet for the shower
- Georgina (8/5): Very good -
- Mark (9/5): Good value & very clean - Clean & comfortable Nothing
- Cini (7/5): Good -
- Mateusz (8/5): Cheap and quite decent place to stay in Inverness close to the city centre - The host was super nice and helpful, even though we've arrived a bit earlier than previously agreed on. The location was quite all right, close to the town center. The room was clean, and keypad locks are arguably a nice touch as you don't need to care about having keys on your person. The room was definitely on a smaller side - it was big enough to not be annoying, but perhaps a bit too cosy. The place doesn't have any visible signs outside, so we've actually struggled a little bit to find it, and weren't sure if we are in the right place - but it wasn't too hard after all.
- Sidnei (7/5): Good - Free parking on street
- Barbara (6/5): Pleasant - Cleanliness
Location
Respectfull host Needs more basic faciliies-eg knife, fork & plate to use. No facilities to store food purchased at local store. Eg Yoghurt.
- Antonio (7/5): Pleasanton stay in a nice place. - Position, cleaness, staff. No TV, noisy bathroom, too soft mattres.
- Trent (5/5): Passable -
- Cassandra (8/5): Good location - Good quiet location. 20 minute walk to city centre.
Bathroom was spacious. Room was clean. No hairdryer.
Kettle and cups provided without teabags.
No fridge.
- Morrison (4/5): Disappointing - Close to city centre Small room
- Mervyn (3/5): Poor - It was clean and freshly decorated Total lack of facilities apart from two coffee sachets and a kettle
- Rachel (6/5): Pleasant -
- Gill (7/5): Good - Really clean. Good pressure in shower and really hot water No TV and no fridge or tea bags etc
- Ian (9/5): Booked last minute to break up a long journey. Cheapest available in Inverness. - Very clean, power shower. No mirror in bedroom, no tea spoons.
- Donnie (1/5): Prepare to be disappointed!! - It was clean Misleading to call this a lodge! Felt more like a prison cell. No effort made to make the room welcoming - not so much as one picture on a wall. No tea/coffee, no tv, one very small towel, no bathroom mat. Flimsy bed with thin mattress and very thin duvet. Heating was never on so I had a cold and uncomfortable night with very little sleep. Thankfully my shoes were still by the front door (had to be removed on arrival) and I left at 7am.
- Asheesh (8/5): Comfortable and Convenient! - Good breakfast. Nice locality..
- Natalie (8/5): Basic - Was close to where I needed to be. No TV. I could hear the room next door extremely thin walls could hear people peeing and the water heater above in the loft every time someone turned a tap on. Cleaning bill is really high for a stay but over all a clean basic room
- Faizi (3/5): Poor -
- Alex (3/5): Overpriced and overrated - Nothing This place is advertised as a lodge with B&B.
It's a semi-detached dwelling house in a housing estate. Approximately 20 mins walk to the town.
We didn't get in until 4.30 pm and had to remove our shoes at the door. The room was small, a low double bed, a bedside cabinet, a computer desk and one chair. A kettle and two cups, no tea coffee, intact not even a spoon. And for that we paid £84.
Absolutely disgusting.
- Alice (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gérard (2/5): No so good - In the room we have only bed to sleep and a little table where no place to do something. It is to little for a familly. A fridge a microwave and so on and more place.
- Carole (7/5): Disappointing - No breakfast. There was a cup and kettle. Nothing else - no coffee, tea, milk, teaspoon.
There was no T.V. and only handwash provided.
- Dawn (6/5): Pleasant - accommodation was very clean Towels extremely tiny for shower
No TV
Cheap fixtures
- Pushkar (6/5): Good for a night sleep - Host was very polite. Check-in process was super smooth. Quadruple room size was smaller than expected. No room to walk. Very basic facilities (beds and a bathroom).
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- João (10/5): Get a FAN. It’s quite warm though the night - Location and cleanliness Need a FAN
- Paul (7/5): Good - Room was a small double shower quite small to use that wasn't suitable for a couple too close to the wall
- Ahmad (3/5): Poor - Was clean Really uncomfortable mattress and bed.
Did not have any facilities in the room like body wash or shampoo and no tea or coffee in the room.
No basic things in room. Even size of room was very small.
Jerry was nice and did provide only few things when asked for but for the price the facilities were very bad.
They should provide basic things in the room. Highly expensive as well.
- Alan (5/5): OK for a one night stopover, we were there 3 nights, wouldn't stay again - Clean, new, quiet and short walk to the city No breakfast available, room small, bathroom very small, only a kettle and two mugs provided.
No information on area.
Only on street parking available.
Not value for money
- Erno (5/5): Passable - Location was ok, parking places on the street always available. A small, cramped room. The furniture, especially the bed, was either cheap or too lightly made, and it broke when sitting on it. The bed was also quite narrow for two people.
- Chrissie (7/5): I appreciated how polite and kind the host/owner was. - Location was good for my purposes, as was on street parking. The room was spotlessly clean, and it was nice and quiet. I’d been assuming it was a b&b, but breakfast is not offered there. No tea/coffee in the room, but was subsequently offered by the host/owner.
- John (6/5): Not as appearing - It was clean The name does not prepare you for a converted terraced house on housing estate. Greeted by being asked to remove shoes, not offered slippers in rack near door. Kettle and mugs but no tea, coffee. No tv if you are thinking of staying in.
- William (7/5): Inverness bed only - Location Bed was too Soft and en suite to small. Would have liked option of breakfast, as most cafés in Inverness only open at 9pm. Lucky I knew about V8 café.
- Pamela (5/5): Passable - The place was very clean.
The owner was very pleasant and attentive The room was a little sparse, didn't feel homely.
There was a kettle and cups but no teaspoons or any teabags, coffee, milk.
- Platt (9/5): Superb - Nice host. Affordable. Very clean. Quick taxi ride to town. Good neighborhood. No issues.
- Muhammad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Naveena (1/5): Bad -
- Kim (6/5): Clean and good location but basic. - The location was close to the city centre and the Caledonian canal. There are plenty of supermarkets nearby for supplies. There was no possibility for adding on breakfast, nor were there any facilties to prepare even basic food in the morning. I would prefer if tea, coffee and milk were provided in the room. The owner offered tea bags on request. I know he was trying to be helpful but I was not going to bother him at 10 pm when I got in. I just bought my own at lidl.
No TV in the room.
- Julie (8/5): Very good - Helpful owner, very very clean Beds were not comfortable, bunks very wobbly, double very creaky , needs at least new mattress
- Malcolm (6/5): Pleasant -
- Will (8/5): Very good -
- Tricia (10/5): Jerry was a fantastic accommodating host - Clean place and great value for money! - The property was located in a nice safe area. I have a young daughter so that was key.
The house was absolutely sparkling clean. Another plus.
The room was extremely clean and the bed was actually very comfy so we got a great nights sleep. Another plus plus. This is a suggestion not a dislike as everything was fine.
There was a kettle and 2 cups in the room - however it would have made a nice touch to have a few of tea bags/ coffee / milk for a quick brew in the morning.
I didn’t realise no coffee/ tea provided but I did read there was a kettle.
Just a suggestion.
- Andrej (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly host, excellent location for exploration of Inverness. Modern equipment. Would definitely return again. Room was a little small but it wasn't a problem.
- Marco (8/5): Very good -
- Ivony (10/5): The only issue was that there is no TV if you’re someone looking for entertainment whilst relaxing in your room - it was very clean and host Jerry very hospitable easily accessible to buses and supermarkets
- Abbas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paige (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elmira (7/5): Good - Very clean and new room, good price, friendly staff There were no TV and tea in the room
- Lori (9/5): Superb -
- Paulo (9/5): Superb -
- Miles (5/5): Passable -
- Marcello (5/5): it did the job. - friendly staff The bed was very basic.
- Ray (7/5): Good -
- Sandra (6/5): Pleasant -
- Pavan (9/5): Overall good for value money. - its good and accessible to the city center.
its well maintained and suitable for couple or singles it doesnt have any kitchen facility.
- Peter (3/5): Poor - Clean and quiet Poorly equipped, kettle 2 cups no teaspoon!, certainly no tea coffee milk or shampoo. No mat for shower room floor. Minimal effort to make stay enjoyable or comfortable.
- Kristijan (10/5): Exceptional - Our host Jerry was very kind, helpful and we felt very welcome. Aria Lodge is located in a quiet and safe street and it was very close to the city center (around 10-15 minutes of walk) and very close to the train and bus stations. Stores are also nearby which proved to be very handy. When it comes to cleanliness our room was spotless. Everything in it was new and very clean, the kettle was a welcomed touch. I would recommend this place to anyone!
- Stephen (5/5): ok - Location was handy for city centre. Very clean No breakfast as advertised, No TV, No Coffee or tea supplied with kettle and cups, had to remove shoes when entering premises.
