• Tugba (10/5): A very nice run away weekend! - Martha, the host, is incredibly responsive and attentive. Every detail in our room was meticulously planned. The bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen were very clean and tidy. We only stayed one night, but you could stay there for a long time. You have kitchen with fully equipment, washing maschine, etc.. The house is very quiet, so we slept soundly. Free parking is available. It's within walking distance of the beach, cafes, restaurants, and markets. When I return to Aguadulce, I'll definitely stay at Avileña Tropical's again.

• Jeroen (9/5): - Dit is een fijne kamer, lekker schoon in een keurig huis in een goede buurt. De badkamer is gedeeld, maar dat is geen probleem. Het bed is excellent. Er was een waterkoker en een ijskast, maar de ijskast heeft z'n beste tijd gehad. Ik waardeerde het dat er een paar koekjes en toastjes lagen, maar een zakje thee of koffie was echt top geweest. Over de strenge registratie is al veel meer gezegd in de reviews. Ik vond het ook een beetje overdreven.

We were tired after driving and we had to do this formality before being allowed to leave our luggage in the room. We understand this rule, but all the papers could be filled in and signed at least 10 min after the guests check in, not right as we arrived. We stayed in several places in Costa del Sol, but only here the registration was a hassle. In the description it is mentioned that guests can relax in the garden. However, we weren't told about this facility. If you want to drink your coffee outside in the morning, either you go in front of the building on the street or in the park 3 min away. Also it had been easier if the host used a translation app as we are not Spanish speakers and it was difficult to interact in English.

The bed is super confortable, and I had everything I needed. Martha's place is great because you are a short 10 min walk from the beach and there is a Lidl supermarket 5-min walking distance from the house. You can get a local bus to Almeria - the stop is very close to the house and it takes about 20 min to get to Almeria! Would highly recommend for stay in Aguadulce/Almeria!

I do not count an AC that gets cooled down with medium temp water to be an actual AC (those fan type of machines) The summers are extremely hot in Almería which made it unbearable to sleep. At one moment in the night I even thought about sleeping on the beach, that's how hot it was in my room. 38°C outside and 38 and higher inside. That really ruined my stay. For the rest if the accommodation gets actual AC, it'll be amazing and worth a 10.

Our self contained apartment was on the floor above the owners, you needed to walk through her lounge to gain access. The owner couldn’t do enough for us and was even happy for our bikes to be kept in her lounge. Lots of special treats that were over and above the usual. We had to leave early and that caused no problems. Nothing we didn’t like.
