Guest Reviews
- Sarah (2/5): Very poor - Location. Scruffy
Cupboard doors hanging off
Shower screen didn’t work and floor would get wet
Kettle and hair dryer filthy and broken
No tea or coffee.
The area outside of the apartment smelled of smoke

- Happy Life (10/5): - My favorite place to visit in Southport. Right in the center of town near the shops and a short walk to the beach and the lake. The apartment was very tidy and had good facilities.
- Marjolein (4/5): Apartment with potential to be great, but needs serious upgrading, and a better cleaning crew. - The apartment has a lot of potential. And in its prime it was probably a great place to stay.
The location of the apartment is great.
Despite what will come next, there is a sign that the host cares: the host left enough toilet roll and kitchen roll for the stay. They also made sure there was hand soap and dish soap. For the guest that wanted, there were ice cubes in the freezer (we didn't use them, but it was a nice gesture) as it was a very warm period. Although it was really warm, with the check-in information we were notified we would have to keep all doors (also patio doors) closed at all time. There were no other windows to open, which made it impossible to get fresh air in. There are black smudges all over the walls. The upper cupboard in the kitchen had a sign we couldn't open it because the hinge was broken and the door would fall off. There was a door on the bottom row which was also completely diagonal so we didn't open it. The fridge door wasn't installed properly. The cooktop was ok but the oven was not clean. The chairs at the dining table showed signs of the material giving up so we tried to avoid using them. The main electric light switch for the bathroom was broken. There was black mold in the corner by the bathtub, there seemed to be a water leak which made the bath look very dirty. The floor tiles were broken, which can happen. The bedsheets on the 1p bed were okay, the sheets on the 2p bed had stains on the bedsheets and 1 pillow case. The stains looked like they were washed but didn't come out completely. There was a white stain on the headboard behind the pillows as well. On the carpet floor in between the 2 beds, there were 2 hard stains. They looked like badly cleaned bird feces. (there are lots of seagull around one might have entered before our stay). When we first reached the apartment and in a glance a lot of these stood out already. We were going out almost right away so I messaged the host, she asked to send the pictures to her email address. After we came back, more of the issues arisen but as I didn't get any communication back I didn't sent the rest of the pictures. We've checked for availability of hotels around but as it was summer there was no availability. On Friday there were window cleaners in front of the bedroom window, which was shocking and was not communicated. They left the windows more dirty then before.

- Wendy (1/5): stressfull to get in the building ! hate the car park other residence live i the other flats smells of smoke in the cor - For a start the “ waterfront suite “ is misleading there is no sigh calling it that from outside ! not for people with disability’s on arrival i struggled to get in the building then followed the instructions on line stressed ! which made me feel worse .. once i the balcony’s are filthy and bathroom light was not working ! was told to prop the door open while waiting for the maintenance man to come .. nothing totally wrong for our stay with having a daughter with disability’s and Husband with dementia !
- Cherrelle (8/5): Really enjoyed it - I like the whole property. Very clean and had everything we needed The stairs to the property with the suitcase
- Brian (6/5): This could be a great place if it was updated. - Location, spacious, clean entry and hallways. French doors in both rooms in poor condition allowing rain to come in onto wood floors, this situation has been this way for quite a while judging by the damage to the floor.
Gaps in these doors also allowed wind to enter as they would not close properly. Vertical blinds danced around even with doors closed.
Some double glazed panels in these doors were cloudy inside the gap between the panes, indicating failure of the insulating seal.
Kitchen cupboards were loose, overhead sink cupboard had disconnected hinge that was in danger of entire door falling off causing potential injury.
Living room tv could not be controlled by the remote, I bought new batteries and they did not help. TV turns on and off but channels can’t be selected.
Water temp control knob for bath/shower fell off.
Lights not working on Stove Exhaust fan
Light above dining table and also bathroom mirror have very low wattage giving off little light.
Balcony furniture and decking was covered in bird droppings when I arrived, but a heavy rainstorm cleared a lot of it away.
A handyman showed up the day before I left and I showed him all of the above comments.
- Baxter (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent service and contact with organisers Nothing
- Sharon (9/5): Superb - Location, clean, comfortable and the onsite parking. The strong smell of nicotine, a freshen up on the walls with paint would do the trick, overall though was well impressed.
- Eileen (5/5): Passable -
- Tanya (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean spacious an weren't far from the beach an the fair ground an attractions I would recommend family an friends to stay here.. Norhing
- Ellie (5/5): Short lived - Great location and very clean Unfortunately we didn’t complete our time here agents were understanding due to our reasoning
Wouldn’t say it is suitable for children due to wall sockets not being fitted correctly
Cracks on bathroom floor tiles & one light fitting broken
Also pillows are feathers but poke out of the pillow case which makes it rather uncomfortable
Floors very creaky
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): Very spacious Apartment - The apartment was very spacious, and the bed was really comfy. It's really close to bars restaurants and supermarkets. The WiFi was really good also. Natalie was an absolute gem to deal with. Would definitely book again! The bathroom could do with a tiny repair, but I'm then just picking
- Qasim (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joseph (10/5): I wanted to stay longer, It is the first time I have chosen self catering and I made a great choice. - I really enjoyed my stay at this property. It was 2 minutes walk from the train station/main shop area, and few minutes walk to the seafront - perfect for me. The code and key system worked fine with no issues. Sainsburys was 2 minutes walk away so I could stock up easily on food. The property was clean and tidy and very well facilitated with everything I could possibly need. There was also a balcony which went from living room to bedroom so I could sit in the sun and drink a coffee.
Staying at this apartment was a very peaceful experience, high ceilings big windows, lots of light. There was never any noise disturbance. The entire building was clean and nice.
There was plenty of shops/facilities in the area surrounding the property.
Messages received from staff through the site were always helpful and informative.
Not been on holiday for some time and I could not have asked for a better experience. I liked everything, it was very well presented.
