Guest Reviews
- FATMA (3/5): Zor bir konaklama - Geç check in yapabildik Tenha bir yerde, gece geç gelirseniz tehlikeli olabilir.. banyo temiz değildi, çarşaflarda temiz değildi
No hablan español, hablan frances
- Blanca (10/5): -
- Bartosz (10/5): Cichy riad okryty posrod uliczek Fez - Cichy i przyjemny riad. W srodku wygladal przepieknie.
- Lolita (10/5): -
- Olukoya (8/5): -
- Marcelo (7/5): Bien -
- Sunil (5/5): Too expensive for what it is. - THe staff are generally very kind and helpful. They do the best they can. The hotel itself is old, gaudy, on the days I was there it rained all the time - which probably made the hotel feel more uncomfortable. The shower and toilet is separate from the bedroom, the the bedroom is cold.
- Saporito (7/5): -
- Branislav (9/5): Superb -
- Talees (10/5): Exceptionnel - I really like the welcoming services and for sure the Moroccan Thee it's offred for free at This Riad.
they've pick me up from the airport at 3am. but i hade the best check in, and the best reception team i've meet in my life nothing
- Marg (7/5): Fabulous fez if you like mazes. - Great location and family nice. Riad lovely. Rabbit warren to find room. Steep stairs to drag luggage and shocking lighting in room
- Carina (1/5): Bad experience - The location I received a dirty, ice-cold room with no heater. There was mould on the walls and I found animal poo (might be mice) on the bed sheets. It took a long time to receive a response from the owner. The accomodation was booked out and left after one night. However, I didn't receive a reimbursement.
- Lorenzo (6/5): The stay was ok and good value for the price. The location is right in the Medina and you can have an authentic experien - The location No real shower and the guide
- Simona (4/5): To avoid if you want a pleasant environment (likely applies to double rooms only) - I could not wait to leave. I did not want to waste what I paid, but I should have probably changed right away. I do not recommend based on my experience, but they do have better rooms from what I have seen. I was somewhere on the top floor in a 2nd building.
A 2nd hotel in the same area - entirely different experience
But here are the positive:
- Owners were nice and friendly. I very much appreciated I got picked up the night I arrived (around 10PM) from the entry to the Medina. Also, they were nice to allow me to leave the luggage after checkout for a few extra hours.
- They have 3 terrace areas with nice view, not all very clean, but nice to spend time there. 2 cats as well :)
- The shower water was hot
- Location is good, 5 minutes from the blue gate, a few turns from one of the 2 main streets. It makes it hard for you to get lost. Everything else.
- The room was the worse I have stayed in in recent memory, probably top 3 in all of my travels. Definitely the worse in Morocco and I have been to 4 other cities. Just unpleasant to be in, quite cold at night, old sheets, hair on the blanket, pillow case that did not look like something to sleep on (used my own towel over the pillow to sleep). Walls, floor, bed, light - all created an unpleasant environment.
- The bathroom was absolutely run down, the smell was disgusting, the toilet was moving when you sat on it, there were tiles that were constanly wet in what looked like a nasty leak (likely not water).
- Towel smelled like nothing you want on your skin.
- Breakfast was the worse I had in Morocco by far - no substance. Bread, jam, butter and olives (plus tea that was too sweet to drink, and store bought orange juice).
- Wifi was quite poor - probably because the network was bad on the top floor, and the network that had better signal did not work at all
- 12am and 1am, 2 nights in a row, terrible loud noises coming from the water system or the boilers or something. Stopped after about 5 min, but disturbing.
- Andrew (10/5): 10/10. Fantasic riad. Beautiful people. Made me feel part of the family. Highly recommend - Fantastic, beautiful riad. Run by amazing people. Welcoming. Helpful.
Great space, and always happy to help.
So nice I extended my stay and couldn't feel more safe, and welcome.
Thank you for my stay.
- Virlan (8/5): Very good - We were here with some friends first for one night. But hatim and omar were so great at helping us that we extended our stay. Riad abqari youssefi is reasonably cheap and has a nice accommodation, morrocan hospitality at its finest. Nice breakfast as well. Bring some earplugs with you, especially if your a light sleeper.
- Mohamad (9/5): Fantastic - Hatim helped us arranging the medina tour. He gave us tips on dos and don’ts. The Riad is beautiful and worth every penny. It is like 10 minutes walking from the blue gates. Nothing but the short limited time we had.
- Kanoko (7/5): Good -
- Hayden (10/5): Very warm and friendly place, affordable and rustic, in the heart of old fes - The staff was really friendly and supportive and made us feel at home. The riad was colorful and relaxing and a nice reprieve.
- Talia (8/5): Comfortable convenient place to stay at Fes. - Proximity to blue gate which is the meeting point for day trips. Nice cosy environment with a great host, Hatim, welcoming you with traditional Moroccan tea. Helpful for carrying luggages up to our room on second storey on our first day. And thanks for picking us up and showing us the way to the Riad on our first day. Housekeeping lady is friendly too though she can’t speak English. Body language is universal! Highly recommended for stay in Fes Necessary amenities such as shampoo and body soap weren’t provided. Only hand wash is available.
Breakfast can be earlier like 7am-9am.
- Fetalaiga (10/5): Double room with private bathroom - 1st floor - Beautifully kind, funny & helpful hosts. Hakim is a gentleman. Stunning Riad. Delicious breakfast. Turtles on the terrace. Grateful for the private bathroom in Double Room. Easy to access the riad & very quiet from the bustle. Highly recommended for a superb, simple budget stay. Loved it all.
- Md (7/5): Good -
- Marjeta (9/5): we recommand it - The location near the Blue gate.
All the helpful info we have recived before we arrived in Fez on WhatsUp from Hatim, the son of the owner. THNX Hatim!
The owner organized us also a privat trip to Volubilis and Meknes, the driver was extremely friendly and diligent. THNX Hamid!
- Mcglade (10/5): Everything! - The accomodation itself is a beautiful Riad in a perfect location just off the Main Street, nice simple breakfast, wonderful and clean rooms, but what set it apart was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Also recommend the tour they offer as a good first introduction to the busy Medina. Perfect stay! Highly recommend to families, students, solo traveler's alike
- Eileen (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, in the middle of the medina, but in a quiet corner. Friendly helpful people. Hot showers and big ornate rooms, clean sheets. We were glad of the warm and English-speaking welcome with traditional tea, plus advice with our travel plans, and decided to return here and stay again at the end of our trip. Note that you have to walk from the edge of the medina
- Neal (8/5): Very good - Hatim is a great owner/manager who is very helpful. Good location in the Medina. Lots of hot water! Breakfast served too late in the morning.
- Kyra (10/5): Very accommodating and felt like home - Amazing time in the old city of Fes. Perfect location and easy to find. Lots of extra blankets if needed. Everything was great.
