- Youngil (7/5): Convenient and good value for money. Small discomforts but nothing terrible. - Location is the best part. It's only 15 minutes from the airport and about 15 - 20 GBP on the UBER.
It's self check in, which is always nice, and it was relatively cheap for a decent room. So the bedroom was converted from a living room, so although there was a back door, there were no windows that could open. It made the room quite stuffy, so had to open the back door to get some air in.

- Joanna (6/5): Good value for money - The room is clean. New carpet, bed, and bedlockers. Bed is very comfortable. Clean, white bed linen and towels.
The decor is very outdated, but OK. Felt a little bit like visiting my grandma when I was a child, with ceramic, flowerly knobs. But it's really OK, for that price. Pity I could not air the room properly as there was only 1 little window that could have been opened. But for somebody on a low budget this is really good option and great value for money. Bathroom was really clean too. Nice showers with hot water in the morning and evening. The property is missing some obvious quick wins. The front fence is completely broken, which creates an awful first impression. If the booking had been cancellable, I would have walked away, as the exterior feels quite dodgy. I'm not sure why this hasn’t been addressed, especially since it seems like a small job that would make a big difference in how the place is perceived.
The kitchen is dark, small, lacks chairs, and is generally not welcoming. I ended up eating out every evening. Despite that, I received a message warning me that if any dishes were left unwashed, a fee would be taken from my deposit, which felt a bit ironic given I didn’t even use the kitchen.
Also, the deposit wasn't just blocked, it was fully charged to my account. When it was refunded, I ended up losing €7 due to fees or currency exchange.
- Shafal (9/5): Superb - comfy, good access to bus, close to Tesco, intuitive self check in
- Roger (8/5): Very good - nice big room in shared house ,with mix of long term residents , and overnight visitors to the nec.
good curry house just up the road, and small supermarket.
im coming back on 19th June., thanks because your sharing the four double roomhouse with other unknown people, you have to make the choice of paying £5 to share any damage bills, or pay £25 extra for insurance against other people accidents/ not washing up/ not putting bins out surcharges.. luckily there are many options here like an extra £10 charge if you need a hand checking in, or an extra charge if you want to check out a bit later, as with only one bath, you have to wait till the others have gone before your its turn to brush your teeth. no plug in bath.
- Tom (8/5): Very good -
- Salomé (9/5): Comfortable room in a nice house ! - The stay went very well, as a solo traveller for my job, I felt safe here, the people in the house are calm and very kind. The only point is that the arrival instructions could be clearer, indicating that there is a double door and that you must first go through the first door before having access to the digit code for the second door.
However, there's no parking in the street as we're not allowed to park on 3/4 of it. There is a driveway in front of the house where you can park your car.
- Dheeraj (9/5): Superb -
- Tom (8/5): Very good -
- Tom (8/5): Very good -
- Amanda (6/5): Pleasant - Overall very good value for money and close to NEC.
Downside: the back garden looked terrible and the front wooden fence was just pieces of broken wood lying there.
Also, there was too little crockery for everyone sharing the house and there was no sink pug to wash the dishes.
- Tom (8/5): Very good -
- Wayne (6/5): Pleasant -
- Nane (10/5): Thank you for this nice chance and meet you in the forthcoming trips. - Actually there was no breakfast, but the supermarket is close and I was making my food alone, using gas, kitchen was nice, heating system was working. The view of the room and iutside was very pleasant. Thank you for the enjoyable stay. The only thing I could mention, there were no chairs. As there is one nice table in the kitchen, there are supposed to be chairs.
- James (1/5): Bad -
- Nnamdi (7/5): My stay was pleasant and the landlord was very quick to respond to my requests. - It was clean and location was great. In my room, there was a door to an enclosure. I’m not quite sure what it was for, but it felt a bit uncomfortable. Although, I got use to it, however, I felt it made the room slightly colder than it should have. Perhaps the landlord needs to have a look, I think it was room 4, which is perhaps the smallest in the house.
- Bonolo (10/5): Exceptional - From the onset the host was ALWAYS available and willing to assist. The area/neighborhood is decent, with easy access to the bus route, restaurants and takeway joints. And there is Tesco literally 3 minutes walk away from the house. The accommodation is consistently well kept. Great value for the money I paid. The mattress in the room I slept in is due for an upgrade. And that is honestly the one thing I'd change.
- Asaei (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adam (8/5): Great location and brilliant price - Great location and lovely place to stay. Great price for that area
- Zapperbeck (2/5): I felt uncomfortable staying there. - I misunderstood the booking. It was a shared house, not a hotel. Before I went I had to fill details such as driving licence and pay an extra £5 with something called Superhog. All I knew was it was on Coverdale Road, but there is nothing indicating what Sheldon shared house was. Fortunately I found a phone number and the gentleman texted me on where it was and how to get in. The TV didn't work. Wallpaper was loose on walls. Clock was stopped. Light fitting was coming off. Shared bathroom. After the first nights stay I got another email asking for a damage deposit. I will go with Travel Lodge next time.
- Stephen (6/5): Not for those that want a peaceful stay - Good location, big room with a Netflix TV. Plugs by the bed. Tescos nearby. Paper thin walls, was a child running around and making noises in the corridors for 1-2 hours in the evening both Friday and Saturday evening and could hear the guests in the other rooms. Thin, cheap pillows. Street parking isn't directly outside, had to walk two minutes around the corner. No floor/shower mat in the bathroom.
- Carlos (10/5): Shah (host) is always available and reliable. Thank you very much -
- Wimpie (10/5): Exceptional - The location was perfect, close enough to shop, and on the bus route .
- Can (6/5): Okay, but smelly. - Location is great if you wanna visit the NEC Place smells like Indian food. I love Indian food, but all my clothes started smelling like it after a few days.
There is a family staying downstairs. The kids are very noisy in the mornings.
- Puneet (10/5): It was very nice - Very Good Location near Airport Nothing
- Ian (7/5): Ideal for what I wanted - near my friends, self catering, bed, desk and seat, nice bathroom. - Shah sorted out the small things I queried. House had a good location in a residential area. Shops within walking distance. Free parking on the street. Wi-fi worked well. House is clean. Bed is comfortable. Got on well with other residents.
- Gerald (2/5): Very poor -

- Muniya (10/5): Exceptional - Quiet and nice neighbourhood, nice facilities and well maintained, excellent internet, close to shops and busstop and very supportive staff.
- Steven (10/5): ideal place to stay - the coverdale was a great little stay ,booked here for working away,I had the ground floor double room, big and roomy, tvs in both rooms with the added bonus of Netflix and more😀 the room opens on to the rear garden, bonus in this nice weather, fully loaded kitchen, cooker f/freezer/dryer,Tesco on your door step, all superstores takeaways shops galore on the door step, and close to Birmingham centre 15 minutes drive nothing really
