• Cynthia (10/5): Excelente atención - Casa Hotel Sura era la casa de Carlos Luis Saenz y Adela Ferreto, la conocí por qué éramos amigos, la han decorado y me sentí en los años en que estaban vivos, escritores de textos pa niños de primaria , el lugar está limpio , muy céntrico y una atención de un joven con un encanto y amabilidad excelentes, todo fue un 100 . Lo único es que no funcionó el control de TV .

• Ines Rummel (4/5): Expectativa fallida - El ambiente y desayuno que se da en el HOSTAL a 200 metros (!!!) esta bueno y el personal agradable, y muy amable. Sin embargo es muy extraño, que se debe ir al Hostal a 200 m para ser atendido. Nos sorprendió muy desagradablemente que el check in es en un Hostal a 200 m del Hotel, ya que llegando de noche en una zona NO SEGURA y sin conocer, es una situación complicada. La zona es marcada DE NOCHE por la triste vida de indigentes y prostitución. En el Hotel mismo no nos sentimos bien, ya que no hay personal, nos sentimos solas y desatendidas. LAS FOTOS EN EL ANUNCIO DEBEN SER DE AÑOS ANTERIORES, el ambiente real se ve mas deteriorado.

• Rahel Anine (8/5): - Zimmer & Personal Die Tatsache, dass man in der nicht sicher wirkenden Umgebung 2 Straßen weiter zum anderen Hostel hätte gehen müssen, wenn man abends hätte kochen wollen. Sura selbst hat keine Küche mehr.

For check-in you have to go to a sister property, which is 150m away, but is not mentioned on the booking page. To be mentioned, no hot water, but we did not really need it.

• Fernandez Mundet (8/5): - El lugar tiene una decoración como de casa antigua que resulta muy acogedora. Nos recibieron en "Stray cat", el hostel hermano de Casa Sura, que queda a cuadra y media y cuenta con cocina para usar e info de actividades para San José y Bajos del Toro. El personal siempre fue muy amable e incluso luego del check out, pudimos quedarnos en Stray Cat para desayunar y hacer tiempo. ¡Súper recomendado!

• Raul (5/5): Nice and clean place that was very inexpensive for or a short stayfor a shot stay - Close distance to the TIG bus terminal, as well as, to restaurants and bars. The cost of renting a room was the primary reason for staying there. I didn’t like that the power was out for most of the time we were there. Luckily there was a bar nearby where we waited out the time until the power was restored.

We had to walk across a very busy street for breakfast in To a hostel ow Ed by the same guy I woul have liked some on site manager at Least. And the breakfast was a hassle

• denis (5/5): Alte d’une nuit au bon endroit pour prendre le bus le lendemain. - Localisation commode près de la station d’autobus Accueil compliqué parce que le propriétaire gère plus d’un établissement. Petit déjeuner minimaliste. N’accepte les cartes de crédit qu’en facturant une surcharge de 10%. De plus, on ne peut payer en monnaie locale qu’au prix d’un taux de change US prohibitif. C’est une pratique détestable.

• Emmett (9/5): Perfect for smart travelling solo people but not the place for snobby losers - I loved the people and I loved the solitude and the location of my room. But this is a great stay for solo travelers though I would not recommend it for a large groups as the rooms are small and the building is older. The ambiance is awesome if you're into that but if you're expecting a five-star squeaky clean perfect experience go spend triple the money somewhere else for half the ambience. This is the place to come if you're a wise and solo traveler who knows what they're doing and wants everything at their fingertips without any hassle or inconvenience. For a guy like me who's been to 17 countries and stayed in hundreds of hotels it suits me perfectly but it's not for everyone. The facility is historic but not in a trashed out American budget hotel kind of way more of a charming and eclectic kind of way. I had some noisy neighbors that like to slam the doors when they arrived and since it's an older building with real wood doors and real wood floors that can be a little annoying for people who care about that sort of thing. Personally I felt that charming to be there but other people that are really picky snobs or losers would complain about the noise and miss on the entire experience.

• Ana (6/5): - Único punto a favor es la ubicación Cambiaron (aumentaron) el precio al momento de pagar en el local, a pesar de mostrar mi reserva con el precio acordado mediante aplicación. Para realizar el check in tuvimos que llegar a otro local y luego caminar a Sura lo cual no es nada practico cuando se tienen maletas. No había toallas en la habitación y dado que no hay algún encargado en recepción no teníamos a quien solicitarlas en el momento.

Los huéspedes de la par hacían mucho ruido y todo se escucha, además el lugar donde se hace el check in está a dos cuadras del hotel en un barrio peligroso y hay que cruzar la calle. El desayuno recalentado y debimos volver nuevamente a caminar para poder tomarlo porque en el hotel nunca lo dieron.

This was ok but had to walk there for breakfast (which i didn’t do)This wasn’t made clear until after i’d made the booking. When a woman with a child who had made a booking turned up late at night i let them in but they were not happy that i let them in etc

• Przemysław (7/5): Recommend this place for a 1-2 nights stay. - It’s a very good choice for 1-2 night stay, specially if you are planning to take the bus from the Mape bus station. The rooms are quite old but very comfortable, host and the crew very helpful, also provided with very early breakfast at 5am since our bus leaving at 6am. It also had very fast internet connection. Rooms could be bit clear, there was a dirt on the doors and dust on the ceiling fan.

It went on for almost 20 minutes on and off. The outlets in the room couldn't hold a plug-in. They were all very loose. No kitchen or option to heat up or make food but understandable that it is a hotel and not a hostel

• C. (10/5): Exceptional - I debated between going the hostel route or getting my own room with bathroom. Glad I did my own room since I am traveling solo this time. The staff is friendly and accommodating ( I speak no Spanish and it was not an issue at all), the room was comfortable, spotless and quiet. If you want the hostel route, the Stray Cat hostel is just around the corner and also spotless and friendly. This was an easy budget friendly option. While it is not immediately close to downtown attractions, it was worth it because it was quiet at night and I really appreciate that. I would also recommend using the uber moto to get to places faster on a motorbike instead of a car. I liked everything. Clean, quiet and safe.
