Horsch (7/5): - The property itself is gorgeous and inviting. How close it is to the road. The lack of individual amenities per cabin given the nightly rate. Parking and gravel walkways with large luggage is not ideal. Required to use amenities at a sister facility next door.

Crista (10/5): A wonderful Stowe treat! - What a beautiful quaint property. If was off season and a little more quiet than usual, but a wonderful stay. Our suite was cozy, super comfy bed, and a delicious breakfast every morning. It was a nice way to explore the area, talk with staff, and enjoy Stowe! We can’t wait to come back in the winter and play in the snow.💚
Hannah (7/5): Lovely stay, would recommend. - The location and design / interiors are amazing. Bed is so comfortable and the heating/ air con is great too. The shower and hot water was terrible, it took up to 10 mins to get hot and there wasn’t enough water for two people to comfortably enjoy a hot shower. The breakfast was also not very good, it was some bread and condiments.

Morgan Rose (6/5): - Great location, bar/lounge area is cozy and the big outdoor fire would be great in better weather Paid a ton for this splurge night because they had a room with a fireplace. They keep their firewood outside and it was sopping wet and impossible to light. It was soaked and just steamed. The room was awkwardly designed--even if we had been able to use the fire we booked the room for, there was only one single person chair by the fireplace. The bathroom was also very cramped and awkward--if the door was opened it blocked all light to the shower. We were excited about the well-reviewed breakfast but found that extremely disappointing as well. We arrived more than 45 minutes before breakfast ended, but it was clear they don't restock or refill anything in the buffet so there were a lot of odd bits and pieces and they didn't even refill water or juice pitchers.

Gabrielle (5/5): Dissapointing - - Location was nice - back of the suite was connected to trails and Forrest - breakfast spread was delicious - the grounds were not well kept - debris everywhere, cigarette butts, ashes - the hot tubs (which were a main reason why booked the hotel) were not working. We were not informed of this by staff upon arrival and had to explicitly ask. No compensation was issued. We were told we could use the sister hotels' amenities, which did not suit our needs of having a hot tub steps from our room - key fobs got "demagnetized" every time we tried to use it. The staff were well aware of this issue they warned us from the start. The only solution they had for us was to keep the keys away from phones and any magnetic objets. We had to go to the front desk several times during our stay to reactivate the keys - it cost us 850$ CAD for 2 nights, we could have had much more for our money somewhere else

Olivia (10/5): The perfect place to stay in Stowe - The room and common areas were gorgeous. Location is great. Breakfast was perfect. Service was also great. I’ll definitely be returning here. I liked everything! No complaints.

I usually skip breakfast in hotels but here is something different beautiful aesthetic and delicious. Hot tub under the sky, sauna on the property. Bus shuttle to the mountains across the road .

Dhary (10/5): Magical stay and exceptional ambiance. - Excellent stay. The hotel room and lounge area were incredibly cozy, especially on freezing winter nights. Riley and Reagan at the front desk were wonderful and very welcoming. I’m really glad I got to see this beautiful state in winter and visit Stowe in particular. Everything was great, and visiting from Kuwait, this truly felt unreal in the best possible way, like a fairytale winter season. Nothing

Very convenient location. The bathroom was very small, and the shower was quite confusing to use. The room was also very dark, and the fridge wasn’t cold. Overall, I don’t think it was worth $740 per night for the quality, especially since that was just for a regular room. I could’ve booked a much nicer hotel for that price. I’d also appreciate it if a water bowl for pets were provided in the room, especially since I mentioned in advance that we were traveling with our dog. I would’ve been more happy with the stay if the quality matched the rate.

When did dogs get more important than babies! I don’t use their free breakfast or even show my face when I was made to feel like a criminal and then an exception

Laura (6/5): Very athletic - The main lobby/bar area was beautiful and we enjoyed drinks in the bar both evenings. The smell of the log fires was lovely. Our bedroom did look lovely and to be fair it matched the photos on the website, but in reality we found that everything had a damp feeling to it and we did notice what appeared to be a damp patch in the corner near the door. The bathroom was needlessly small compared to the room size which didn’t really have any sensible storage space or comfortable seating other than the bed, despite having a seating area and table and an odd very thin bench. The driveway with rough stones etc isn’t really practicable for wheeled suitcases.

Heather (8/5): Excellent location, beautiful rooms and facilities a bit spoiled by poor sound insulation - We stayed just one night as part of a road trip which we'd booked months ago, so tended to forget what facilities would be on offer. Very very pleasantly surprised about the hot tub, cold plunge, sauna and outdoor seating areas! We had such a relaxing time outside (still warm in September!). Food and drink options on site or its a short walk to a cafe/bar/restaurant area across the road. We opted for a short drive to the Von Trapp Bierhall (excellent food and drink!!) and bought a few beers for enjoying back at the hotel. Plenty of outdoor seating if you want to sit round the firepit (probably with other guests) or you want a space to just sit with your partner and have a blether and a beer. Our room also had little seating area at the back and a super comfy armchair/footstool for cozy reading time! The sound between rooms travelled quite considerably so we could hear next door's TV – not sure if they just had it up loud or the sound insulation could be improved. Also with it being such an lovely, nature-orientated stay we didn't want to be disturbed by the sound of a telly and preferred to switch off from technology or sounds of others.

I have stayed in many Vermont hotels, several in the Stowe/Waterbury area. AWOL is my is my absolute favorite 10/10. I will continue to stay here for the rest of my life. I only booked one night.
