- Roman (10/5): Exceptional - Everything. Ared Villa is excellent place to stay after your arrival in Colombo by plane in the evening before going further into the island or along the coast. Perfect A/C, cllean bed linen and absolute silence. Friendly, welcoming staff. I strongly recommend for everybody this place. Nothing.

- Mette (9/5): Superb - Perfect hotel before an early flight or late arrival, very close to the airport. Friendly staff. Communal kitchen you can use. Good shower with hot water and apart from the toilet (which you find seldom in Sri lanka). There was a fleece plaid to cover you at night. I would have preferred some sheets for hygienic reasons though.
- Ian (9/5): Value for money - We stayed at the Ared on our final night in Sri Lanka, before our flight the next day. The hotel was clean, convenient and friendly. It met our expectations. We didn't eat here, only because we had an early flight and don't really do breakfast. The location, in Lion City, was peaceful and felt very safe. Only one plug socket in the room (This was a minor inconvenience). The air conditioning was little noisy, but not too intrusive.

- Jan (7/5): Good place for calm night sleep past or prior to flying away. - We were accomodated here just for night before leaving Lanka. Place is clean though its best days are long gone. Its close to the airport roughly 5-7min ride. Location is quiet something as a private resort. Not posible to open windows AC .

- Gerd (9/5): Perfect welcome to Sri Lanka - Being picked up at the airport in the early hours of the morning and taken directly to the villa for check-in was wonderful. This was only a short drive and the key reason for choosing Ared Villa. A tour of Negombo next morning was pre-arranged and it was the same driver we'd had earlier who came to get us. All so easy. Breakfast was ready for us at the arranged time and was a lovely introduction to Sri Lankan food. The villa is within a gated community for security and is adjacent to the family home. Perhaps a little refurbishment is needed, but when coming from a long flight, the basics of a bed, shower and breakfast are just fine.

Available any time - when we arrived in the evening and then when we were leaving very early morning, they were there and also organized a transfer. Very nice people. Also it is possible to have a meal there, and gosh, what a meal was that! Delicious and fresh! The place is several minutes drive from the airport, still a quiet place. Beds are comfortable, bathroom is spacious.

- Helen (3/5): Poor - Clean bed, plenty of room. We were overcharged for the room and transfer to the airport because he took the transfer money twice! So a £28 night was £40 plus the £8 transfer. After an amazing 2 weeks in Sri Lanka, this left a very bitter taste to end on!
