• Joelle (9/5): Le personnel est super gentil. La chambre est spacieuse et propre. - Près de la plage et aussi à 5-8 minutes de marches de l’entrée du parc. Ça aurait été intéressant de pouvoir avoir de l’eau froide au lieu de tiède pour remplir le réservoir inclus dans la chambre mais c’est une une suggestion, car déjà d’avoir de l’eau potable pour remplir nos gourdes c’était super avec cette chaleur!
• Anna-Lena (10/5): Great stay :) - We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this homestay near Tangkoko National Park. From the first moment, we felt very welcome and comfortable. The host family was incredibly warm, kind, and always helpful, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The food was delicious every day, and the location was perfect — right by the beach and still within walking distance of the national park entrance, which made exploring very easy. You can really feel how much care and heart the family puts into this place. We would highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting Tangkoko and would happily come back again in the future.
• Jimmy (10/5): Fantastic, will stay again! - + The host Rita, Eno, and their team were so kind and helpful. + Room was clean and comfortable. The bed is VERY big. + The bathroom was very spacious. The plants in the bathroom were a great touch. + Convenience stores were 2 min walk away + The beach is just 20 meters away for two rooms, other rooms will be a bit farther away + The restaurant serves really tasty food and fresh juices + Tangkoko entrance is just a few min walk away + Combination tour by Eno starts at 4:30PM. He cares a lot about the animals and it shows in the tour. We saw all Fantastic Four (tarsier, crested macaque, cuscus, hornbill) in a single tour so you don't need to do two separate morning and afternoon tours.

• Mandy (9/5): - Super freundlich! Renny und ihr Sohn sind so hilfsbereit und nett! Sie haben in einer einfachen Umgebung tolle saubere Zimmer geschaffen. Eine Nacht war absolut ausreichend und in der Tour haben wir alle Tiere gesehen! Toll!

Wir hatten wunderschöne Tage in einer geräumigen, sauberen und schönen Unterkunft, die ein großartiges Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis bietet. Die Lage am Strand ist schön und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Eno hat uns informativ und kompetent durch den Dschungel geführt. Wir konnten alle Tiere sehen, die wir gerne sehen wollten.
• Lydia (10/5): This place is incredible!! - Amazing hosts, they are a family-run business and made us feel so welcome! They made every part of our stay so lovely!! Eno is also a guide in the Tangkoko nature reserve, and we had a spectacular jungle tour with him! The area is beautiful and full of things to do, we also had a boat tour and snorkeling day with Eno! Their beach warung is also fantastic, we stayed in their brand new beachside accomodations, and we ate yummy food and had amazing drinks from the restaurant. Highly recommend this place, it's the best!!
• SJOUKJE (10/5): - De ligging van onze kamer vlak bij zee, achter het restaurantje van de familie. De kamer was nieuw, schoon, erg ruim en met een airco. Het restaurant had lekker eten. De familie die het runt is opgewekt en heel gezellig. De sfeer hier is dan ook geweldig.

Il nous a guidé dans le réserve de Tangkoko et nous avons été plus qu'enchantés. Nous en garderons un souvenir impérissable. Le gîte est simple mais spacieux. Devant, une terrasse permet de profiter de l' extérieur. La couverture data est faible mais le wifi est très bon. Eno, produits des plats simples et bons dans son restaurant au bord de plage. Bière, cocktails disponibles. Le top ! Pour le prix, c'est très bien. Donc, pas de points négatifs.

• Leon (10/5): Traumhaft - Ich hatte das neue Zimmer direkt am Strand. Vom Park Eingang ist es auch nur wenig Minuten entfernt. Das Essen ist wunderbar und sehr viel. Vor Ort kann man auch verschiedenste Touren buchen. Dazu ist der Besitzer super freundlich und sehr witzig.

The ceiling and walls for the bathroom don't meet so if anyone is outside they can hear you in the bathroom.
• Juliette (8/5): Très bon rapport qualité prix!!! - Le logement était propre, le lit king size confortable parfait ! Nous avons eu de l'eau chaude pour nous doucher. La terrasse est sympa avec bouilloire, café sucre grille pain. Une bonbonne d'eau est a disposition. L'emplacement est a 2 mins a pieds de l'entrée de la réserve de tangkoko ! Des warungs et supérettes sont a proximité a pieds et dans la même rue. Ino , sa femme et leur fille sont très gentils et ont un resto sur la plage au bout de la rue ! Il y a un peu de bruit la nuit liés aux motos et véhicules a moteurs bruyants. Nous avons pu dormir correctement quand même.
• Maureen (9/5): Solo mature lady - Being a Solo mature lady l felt safe and comfortable. Rennys is in a great spot and within walking distance to the national park entrance. I opted to have the traditional breakfast which was yummy but a western style is available too ( egg toast fruit ) tea,coffee & water is available all the time ( just outside the bedroom) There is a restaurant next door where the food was reasonable and fresh ( l used each evening ) Renny also has a small restaurant on the beach ( beautiful spot ) about 20 minutes walk ( l got a lift back on a motorbike) I arranged my guide with Renny ( reasonably priced) My guide was very knowledgeable and patient with me ( it was alot of walking we walked for 2 hours there ! And 1hr around and 2 hours back ! I was exhausted) for the morning tour and approx 2 1/2 hr walking in the evening tour ) it was great having the rest in-between. I was exhausted but it was totally worth it and just so amazing to see in the wild ( l had seen Taziar before but captive in the Philippines) I stayed 3 nights which suited me * day 1 tour * day 2 rest * day 3 explore the area ( I'm a slow traveller) In all Renny and her staff will go above and beyond to make sure your stay is good. I would definitely recommend At present there is only 1 room ( but they are in the process of building a second ) travelling on my own l like to meet other travellers at the guest house
• Barbara (9/5): - Sehr freundliche Gastgeber, die auch ausgebildete Führer sind. Führung war super. Individuell an uns angepasst. Das Essen und Trinken in Rennys Bar am Strand war sehr lecker! ( Eher etwas teurer als die Warungs rundherum, dafür auch abwechslungsreich). War einfach schön die Tage dort! Die Adresse stimmt nicht mit der der Grabfahrermap überein. Googlemaps stimmt.

• Tom (9/5): All in all a great and personal experience in a locally run homestay - Our stay at Renny's was really good. We were personally welcomed by Renny with a nice drink and a pleasant talk. Our tour in Tangkoko from 4.30 AM to 11 AM was incredible and satisfied us completely. The neighbours were playing extremely loud music and the hosts personally talked with them to lower it for us which was great and fixed the issue. Though outside of the owners' control, the entire village is very loud. Music is played at obscene levels. The hosts did fix it relatively quickly for us though

• Marina (10/5): Fantastisch und sehr herzlich! - Eine meiner TOP-4-Unterkünfte in Indonesien – und ich habe insgesamt 15 gesehen! Eine so herzliche Familie, die jederzeit zu Hilfe kommt, wenn man etwas braucht. Alle sprechen sehr gut Englisch, selbst die kleine Tochter, und unterhalten sich gerne bzw. erzählen etwas über ihre Kultur und Natur. Renny, die Großmutter, nach der die Unterkunft benannt ist, ist die beste Guide, die wir erlebt haben – sie findet mit viel Ruhe und Geduld jedes Tier und ist unglaublich erfahren! Mit kleinen Tieren im Zimmer (Geckos, Frösche etc.) muss man – wie überall in Indonesien – rechnen. Aber Geckos bringen Glück, insofern freut Euch, wenn Ihr welche an der Wand entdeckt :) Dafür kann man von der Terrasse oder aus dem Panoramafenster des „Doppelzimmer mit Patio“ (dieses ist ca. 200m entfernt von den anderen Zimmern an derselben Straße) und auch von der Terrasse der anderen Zimmer jederzeit das Leben im Dschungel mit schwarzen Makaken etc. beobachten. Luxus pur!

• Leo (10/5): - Ino was an amazing host and guide. He made sure that we felt very welcomed. The homestay was very clean, comfortable, and close to everything, especially the park entrance. His beachside warung is a great place to hang while enjoying the sea breeze (and try his signature Tarantula Cocktail). During the hike to the park, he made sure that we ticked all the animals that we had to see. He was very knowledgeable and ensured that we didn't disrupt the animals. • Celina (9/5): Tolle und gemütliche Unterkuft, welche von sehr freundlichen Menschen geführt wird. - Toll war die eigene Terrasse vor dem Zimmer und das Zimmer, Bad waren groß und sauber. Die Lage zum Nationalpark ist unschlagbar und man ist in weniger als 10 Minuten zum Strand gelaufen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und sympathisch. Eno hat die Tour durch den Nationalpark geführt und wir waren begeistert. Er hat uns alle Tiere zeigen können und war so bestrebt. Ein sehr freundlicher Mensch. Jeden Morgen gab es Frühstück, das variierte von Tag zu Tag und war mehr als nur genug. Große Portionen. Einen Wasserspender gibt es ebenfalls in der Unterkunft. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist mehr als fair. Wir können einen Aufenthalt dort nur empfehlen. Lieben Dank für alles!

Enos animal spotting was incredible. Enos niece invited me to her mother's birthday party Their driver offered to wait and drive me to the mall after I arrived back at the manado hotel I liked everything but there were many cheaper homestays if you're on a budget Also note that the original homestay only has one room and you may stay with Renny's sister down the road - but she is lovely also
• Simone (10/5): - Our stay was just a dream! The room had a big window so that you can watch direct on a little river an the beginning of the jungle. If you are lucky you can see the monkeys from inside the room. The bathroom is superb! Didn't expect that quality at all. The warung connected to rennys is 500meters down the road on the beach. Food there is very good. Our visit was the second time in tangoko. But it was the best tour through the jungle we ever had. Very lovely people all around Rennys team. From taxi driver, over cook to the boss. We totally can recommend staying there and booking jungle tours there.

A notre arrivée nous nous sommes trompés d'endroit car la pancarte renny's safety homestay est placée chez elle et non à l'endroit où sont les logements. Ils faut aller une cinquantaine de mètres plus loin.

Gute Morgen und Abendtour vor Ort gebucht. Indonesisches Frühstück Im Warung der Familie am Strand kann mann schön sitzen und lecker essen. Keine Nachttischlampe. Man musste im dunklen ins Bett tappen.

• Alexandra (10/5): À faire absolument! - Séjour merveilleux au chez Renny et sa famille qui sont des personnes extrêmement accueillantes, touchantes et gentilles. La chambre est situé à 1min de l’entrée du parc et 10min de la plage de sable noire et est confortable : un très grand lit confortable, la clim (!) et l’eau chaude pour se doucher (!!). Ça fait du bien! Le warung familiale est situé sur la plage et permet de prendre le petit déjeuner ou de déjeuner/dîner avec une superbe vue sur l’océan. Nous avons fait le tour du parc avec Renny et Eno qui sont de super guides et qui connaissent la forêt du bout des doigts. Nous avons vu : les tarsiers, macaques noirs, couscous bear, un python, un toucan, un perroquet et un hornbill pendant notre excursion! Ils ont des jumelles ce qui permet de pouvoir observer les animaux (et notamment les oiseaux) même s’ils sont loin ce qui est très cool. Rien
• Chloé (8/5): Idéal pour visiter le parc Tangkoko - Emplacement idéal à l'entrée du parc, les guides de Renny sont incroyables et nous ont permis de découvrir et observer tous les animaux . Les chambres sont simples mais propres avec la climatisation; le petit restaurant sur la plage les pieds dans le sable est fabuleux!

• Yannick (8/5): Eno und Obadscha sind ein gutes Team - Sehr tolle Führung von "Fen" durch den Nationalpark, er war sehr engagiert und hat jedes Tier gefunden. Das Waerung von Eno (Besitzer) serviert sehr tolles und lokales Essen sowie Drinks. Eno und sein Team sind sehr aufgestellte und lustige Leute. Tour nach Tomohon, Vulkanen, etc. haben sie für uns zu einem Erlebnis gemacht, vielen Dank dafür! Das Frühstück war ebenfalls sehr lecker. Das Bett war leider etwas in Schräglage. Die Dusche hatte zwar einen Durchlauferhitzer, ist aber ohne Kaltwasserzufuhr wenig von nutzen (es kommt nur sehr heisses bis brennend heisses Wasser raus) - nicht brauchbar.

They guided us to the park and we saw all of the animals possible, we ate always in their restaurant with amazing food and we were are to really get to know their day to day life. Breakfast in the homestay is also really good with home made pancakes and fresh fruit. It was specially great because we had the chance to meet and speak with the owners to get to know them Everything was great!

The tour was very nice, although you have to be a little patient!! Eno is very motivated to find all the species and his drive and joy is very contagious. The stay itself was amazing as well, super clean, super comfortable, lóvely food!! Also in their beach restaurant, super fresh delicious food!! 11/10 :)
• Stefan (10/5): Unser Flug hatte Verspätung, die Besitzter hatten uns gleich einen Transport organisiert, sie haben uns als Guide den Na - Die Besitzer waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit, es war sehr leise und wir waren direkt beim Eingang vom Dschungel. Es gibt nichts zum aussetzen.

• Freja Skrostrup (10/5): - Vi havde et fantastisk ophold på dette homestay, som har en perfekt beliggenhed lige ved Tangkoko Nationalpark. Værelserne var rene og pæne, og der var altid adgang til drikkevand. En tilknyttet restaurant ligger kun 10 minutters gang væk – lige ud til stranden – og serverer virkelig god mad. Leita, som står for det praktiske, var hurtig til at svare og hjalp os med alt fra transport til lufthavnen til en fair pris, tøjvask (rent, strøget og pænt foldet – med en mild og behagelig duft), samt booking af ture. På vores morgentur havde vi Ino som guide – og han var intet mindre end fantastisk. Han var dybt engageret, havde stor respekt for naturen og et imponerende kendskab til området. Takket være ham så vi bl.a. hornbills, bear cuscus, flagermus, kingfisher og black macaques – og han tog skønne billeder for os gennem sin linse. Renny selv tog os med på natteturen. Det var tydeligt, at hun kender skoven ud og ind. Hun fandt bl.a. en fugleedderkop og en lille ugle og sørgede for, at vi fik gode billeder med hjem. Alt i alt en virkelig god og tryg oplevelse – vi følte os i gode hænder hele vejen. Og vigtigst af alt: de var bare skønne mennesker. Vi kommer meget gerne tilbage! Intet! Alt var godt.

Ino ( her son ) is in charge of the jungle tour and has a strong knowledge ( and patience) for all animals & we had the chance to spot Cuscus Bear, Black Macaques, tarantulas, Tarsiers thanks to him. The homestay is super clean with great space & bed. I highly recommend this place that is a gateway at the door of Tangkoko park Thank you for all Renny & Ino 🙌

• Michael (10/5): Absolut zu empfehlen - Wir hatten ursprünglich für 3 Nächte gebucht, sind dann aber 8 Nächte geblieben. Das Zimmer ist sehr großzügig und hat ein großes Fenster zum Dschungel. Das Bad ist außergewöhnlich gut. Die überdachte Terrasse mit dem Fischteich war ein wunderbarer Ort zum verweilen. Das Wlan ist sehr gut. Am Strand betreibt die Familie einen sehr guten Warung mit leckerem Essen. Vielen Dank an Eno für seine tolle Dschungeltour, und an Renny und Lita für ihre herzliche Gastfreundschaft. • Martin (10/5): Fantastisch! - Ich hab noch nie eine 10 vergeben, aber hier war es einfach toll! Ich hatte Glück und durfte für eine Woche den Bungalow mit dem Fischteich vor der Türe bewohnen. Renny, Lita, Ino und Denada sind fantstische Gastgeber! Freundlich, hilfsbereit und sehr warmherzig. Das Essen im Warung am Strand ist exzellent und der Staff dort auch sehr freundlich. Vielleicht sind die Preise fürs Essen und die Touren teurer, als bei anderen Anbietern. Aber jeder Cent ist es Wert! Ino ist es ein Anliegen die Touren nachhaltig und respektvoll gegenüber den Tieren durchzuführen. Lita ist umweltbewusst. So gibt es zb keine Plastiktrinkhalme im Restaurant. Auf Wunsch wird das Essen sogar zum Bungalow geliefert. Hab ich nicht in Anspruch genommen. Am Strand schmeckt es einfach noch besser! Zudem bieten sie jeden Samstag Englischunterricht für die Kinder im Dorf an. Unentgeltlich! Also - bezahle etwas mehr und unterstütze sie dabei!

Deux personnes très généreuses qui aiment leur territoire et le font partager. Nous avons passé d’excellents moments et découvert le parc naturel dans les meilleures conditions. Petit désappointement à l’arrivée car nous n’avons pas reconnu les lieux : les photos ne correspondent pas toutes à l’endroit où nous avons dormi. Ce n’est qu’un détail !

Eno und Lica als Gastgeber und Dschungel Guides sind einfach fantastisch – sie haben sogar ihre Tochter mit in den Dschungel genommen, die eine wunderbare Forschergefährtin für unseren Sohn war. Ihre Wärme und Leidenschaft für die Natur sind ansteckend. Am Strand betreiben sie ein Warung mit unglaublich leckerem Essen und setzen mit ihrem Herzensprojekt ein starkes Zeichen: Sie geben den Kindern des Dorfes kostenlosen Englischunterricht. Die Unterkunft ist top, das Essen ein Traum und menschlich ist diese Familie einfach unschlagbar. Ein Aufenthalt, der uns bleibend in Erinnerung bleibt! Danke

Mooie wandeling, mooie birdwatching tour Ze boden maar 1 dagtrip wandeling aan (enkele uren in de voormiddag en enkele uren tegen de acond), dus zou je dit meerdere dagen blijven doen (wat wij initieel van plan waren) dan zou je telkens dezelfde wandeling doen en tonen ze je telkens dezelfde dieren. Ze weten precies in welke boom wie zit. Gelukkig heeft de birdwatching tour dit zeker goed gemaakt.. De menukaart was zeer beperkt maar wel lekker. Als je meerdere dagen blijft heb je alles op de kaart weleens gehad.

• Slavujac (10/5): Great experience - Nice and entirely clean room with warm water and AC. At good location, close to park entrance, supermarket and beach. Owner, Lea, and her staff were great. Lea, was also our guide on the tours. She was very nice, made efforts to show us many animals and helped us with other things (e.g., transport to Bunaken island in my case). She also organized a night tour on my request, which is not a standard tour and which gave us a different experience. Tours were great and we saw many different animals. Food was also good. Everything was good.

It's a wonderful family-run business—Lea’s mom also took us on two fantastic tours of the national park, showing us all the incredible wildlife with so much care and patience. • Donna210859 (9/5): Memorable experience - The price quality was good. The bed was perfect for us. Soft and with very good headrest, airco and hot water. Breakfast was good, and dinner options were very good. We asked to cook locally and spicy. Loved the 2 guided treks with Renny. She really loves the jungle, and it is so nice to see her call the Eagle and that it answers back. She follows the sound and finds the bird. With her daughter Lia, we did a visit to the MALEO bird sanctuary. We wanted to do our trip to Gorontalo in two fased and the park was halfway. is it only accessible with a private driver, and Lea drove us. The place is back to basics in the jungle, eating together with the staff. There are lots of insects, but I find that interesting. No klamboe, but repellent worked well. We are not real bird watchers, but the observation of these birds was exceptional because of the observationhut, and that it was breeding seasion. So, Lea, thank you for suggesting this trip to us The total price of the trip to Maleo sanctury was not so clear. Tip for Lea to give more information

• FraNta83 (10/5): - La struttura si trova a due passi dal parco nazionale, e una sera ho visto una scimmia della foresta, direttamente dalla camera. La mia camera era molto spaziosa e il letto enorme e comodissimo. Il bagno pulito, e con acqua calda. Lo staff è estremamente gentile e disponibile e la cucina molto buona. Ho prenotato il tour del parco nazionale direttamente in struttura, e Lea è una guida molto in gamba ed estremamente gentile e disponibile. -

• Yannik (9/5): - Wir waren für 2 Nächte in der Unterkunft, um die Morgen- und Abendtour durch den Tangkoko Nationalpark mit Lea zu machen. Lea ist eine sehr freundliche und aufgeschlossene Person und ein super Guide. Wir haben alle Tiere gesehen, die wir sehen wollten. Lea hat ein kleines Restaurant am Strand in dem sehr essen mit vegetarischen Optionen und kalte Getränke gibt. Lea engagiert sich im Dorf und gibt den dort lebenden Kindern kostenlosen Englischunterricht am Restaurant. Im Moment übernachtet man noch in einem Guesthouse, welches ca. 3 Gehminuten von dem Restaurant am Strand entfernt ist. Die Zimmer sind dem Preis entsprechend einfach ausgestattet, verfügen aber über eine Klimaanlage, WLAN und sind sauber. Lea möchte in naher Zukunft eine eigene Unterkunft bei dem Restaurant bauen. Alles in allem kann ich die Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen und Lea hat uns eine sehr schöne Zeit bereitet. Weil wir keinen Fahrer finden konnten, hat Lea uns am Ende sogar noch zum Hafen gebracht, von dem aus wir von der nächsten Unterkunft abgeholt wurden.
• Bettini (9/5): Semplicità ed accoglienza - Ci è piaciuta molto l'accoglienza di Lea, la sua storia e la passione che mette nel suo lavoro. La posizione è ottima sia per fare una nuotata, sia per accedere al parco. Dopo settimane di docce fredde e caldo durante le notti è stato bellissimo fare una doccia calda e dormire al fresco. Due servizi non scontati e molto apprezzati. Inoltre Lea fa degli ottimi Mojito, meglio di tanti bevuti in Europa! Bravissima 💪💪 Il ristorante in spiaggia potrebbe essere maggiormente curato. Non c'è possibilità di scelta dei piatti e lo spazio è poco.
