• ajdina (10/5): An excellent stay with outstanding service, spotless cleanliness, and exceptional comfort from start - I had a wonderful one-night stay and was genuinely impressed by every aspect of the experience. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and always ready to help, making check-in and the overall stay smooth and pleasant. The room was spotless, with exceptional cleanliness throughout, from the fresh linens to the well-maintained bathroom. Everything felt comfortable, well-organized, and thoughtfully prepared, which made it easy to relax and enjoy the stay. Even the common areas reflected the same high standards. Despite only staying one night, it was a truly enjoyable experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and welcoming place to stay. I honestly couldn’t find anything to fault during my stay. There was nothing to dislike cause everything exceeded my expectations.

• Mr_Check_Out (8/5): private rooms in the center of Shkoder - Its a huge flat (over 150 sq m probably) in the old, renovated building, strictly in the center of Shkoder, converted into hotel/ hostal/pension. Pluses: - everything is new and clean - comfortable and quality bed, like usually in this part of Europe - since its old and properly constructed building, then soundproofing between rooms is good (talking about the walls at least) - fridge in the room, again, good basic and normal standard - kettle with some tea - Wi Fi is fast - staff is communicative and hospitable - some dictionary books in the common space if you would like to pick up some Albanian words - Bathroom is shared between the rooms that dont have private bathroom :) And I suppose, that, there is 2 or 3 of them in this hostal. - lack of Hungarian - Albanian dictionary &-:-)>>

• Jana (10/5): Schöne Unterkunft nah am Stadtzentrum - Das Zimmer war sauber und geräumig und auch das Badezimmer war sehr groß und sauber. Wir wurden außerdem sehr herzlich empfangen.

• Pauline (10/5): - Die Besitzerin des Hotels ist unglaublich freundlich und hat alle unsere Sonderwünsche möglich gemacht. Wir konnten unser Gepäck hier lagern, während wir eine Tour in den Bergen gemacht haben, ohne Aufpreis, wir konnten spät einchecken, alles war kein Problem. Die Betten sind bequem und die Zimmer hübsch und modern. Wir wurden sogar kostenlos in eine höhere Zimmerkategorie mit eigenem Bad upgraded! Das Hotel liegt fantastisch in der Innenstadt, aber etwas ab, sodass die Lautstärke sehr okay ist. Obwohl das Hotel noch recht neu ist (was man auch sieht!), sind manche Dinge schon etwas kaputt, Lampe und Steckdose hingen aus der Wand. Nichts Wildes. In einem Zimmer geht das Fenster Richtung Hinterhof, dort hört man dauerhaft ein Gerät (Pumpe? Klimaanlage?..) rattern, auch bei geschlossenem Fenster. Mit Ohrstöpseln aber kein Problem ;)

• Johannes (9/5): - Das Hotelzimmer war gut ausgestattet mit Kühlschrank und Wasserkocher. Vor allem die Matratze war sehr gut. Die Gastgeber haben bei der Organisation der Busfahrt nach Valbona unterstützt und eine Abholung bei der Crossaints Bäckerei veranlasst. Für die Wartezeit an der Bäckerei gab es Kaffee und Crossaints. Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr zentral und nur wenige Gehminuten vom Busbahnhof entfernt. Das Gemeinschaftsbad war sauber.

• Faye (9/5): Lovely apartment 💕 - Huge apartment, beautifully clean with everything we needed and more! It’s in a quiet street but minutes from the main street. There’s a very chilled little cafe on the corner which we loved. I’d say it’s more like serviced apartments than a hotel, which was fine, but when we first arrived we thought we had the wrong place since it seemed deserted. All good - the owners respond really quickly when messaged and are brilliant ☺️

Um die Ecke gibt es einen günstigen Roller Verleih mit dem man alle Sehenswürdigkeiten erreichen kann. Die Besitzerin ist super nett und immer erreichbar bei Fragen. Leider teilen sich alle Gäste ein Bad, aber für uns war das schon okay :)

• DELORME (10/5): Un excellent séjour au cœur de Shkoder avec un hôte attentionné - Hôtel idéalement situé en plein centre de Shkoder, parfait pour découvrir la ville à pied. Jozef a été très prévenant et nous a donné de précieux conseils tout au long de notre séjour. Il nous a notamment aidés à réserver le ferry pour le lac Koman. D’ailleurs, si vous avez l’intention de le prendre avec votre voiture, ne faites pas comme nous : réservez bien à l’avance ! Jozef parle parfaitement le français, ayant étudié la boulangerie en France, et a même ouvert trois boutiques de croissants à Shkoder. Un vrai régal : nous n’en avons pas mangé d’aussi bons pendant tout notre séjour en Albanie ! Les chambres sont propres, bien équipées, et une machine à laver est à disposition avec tout le nécessaire. La salle de bain commune pour certaines chambres est également très propre, même si la porte est un peu difficile à fermer. Une excellente adresse que nous recommandons sans hésiter ! Pas de place de parking mais Jozef vous aide à trouver une place à proximité donc cela ne nous a pas gêné

Les propriétaires sont d'une très grande gentillesse et font le maximum pour vous rendre service. Le propriétaire parle français, ce qui facilite les échanges. Nous recommandons !!! Rien

Not a big issue but was greeted by the cleaner who didn’t speak any English and kept just telling us no. I showed the booking and she called the owner who was lovely!!

• Jennifer (10/5): Perfect Shkodër spot - The room was large and comfortable with aircon and we were able to leave our suitcase free for a few days while we did the Valbone-Theth hike which was super helpful. The location was a minute away from the main strip in town, with lots of restaurants and bars nearby and close to the bus stop for the regional busses.

• Frankie (10/5): Perfect cosy central apartment -  We booked the Deluxe King Room, basically a lovely fully equipped new flat with one double bed, one single bed, plus a separate sofa and private bathroom. Fast wifi. Delightfully clean and quiet with a nice balcony. Great safe central location,  but still calm just off the southern end of the main pedestrian street of the old town, totally away from any traffic noise. Easy to find just 15 minutes walk from the information centre and pick up vans to many destinations. Pepe, the Albanian owner is very responsive and a delight. He is a French trained pastry chef, and speaks excellent English, French and Italian. We enjoyed spending time with him and eat his croissants at his popular bakery a few minutes away. Vila Pepe will be our go to place in Shkoder.   Everything was perfect.

• Susan (10/5): Perfect location, very comfy, lovely hosts. - The host and his wife are lovely people. The location is perfect, near all the action but tucked away so that it is quiet. The room was large, super clean, and very comfortable. We are traveling for 2 months so it was nice to be able to prepare some of our own meals and to have access to a washer and drying rack. Do visit the owner’s bakery nearby. He makes amazing croissants.

• Jennifer (8/5): - Unterkunft im Zentrum, vom Bus aus Fußläufig zu erreichen, gute Essensmöglichkeiten direkt erreichbar, kleine Travel Agencies um die Fahrt nach Theth zu buchen findet man auch in der Nähe, Gastgeber sehr freundlich und Hilfsbereit Türen sind sehr laut, aus dem Flur hört man alles. Leider hört man auch die Pumpe sehr dominant, die für die Toilettenspülung verantwortlich ist. Für jemanden mit leichtem Schlaf eher nicht geeignet

• Renske (10/5): - Geweldig verblijf gehad bij Hotel Vila Pepe. De locatie is perfect, midden in het centrum, waardoor alles op loopafstand is. Het hotel is schoon en goed onderhouden. De gastheer was bijzonder vriendelijk en behulpzaam, en doet echt dat extra stapje voor zijn gasten. Zeker een aanrader!

It is very central (a short walk to cafes and restaurants, the bus station, and the shuttle pick-up point for the Valbonë - Theth hike. We did the hike and Josef kindly let us store our bags until we returned). Everything is very clean, the room and shared bathroom are spacious, and the air con was a great escape from the hot weather. We had a busy trip, but were able to visit Josef’s bakery to try his croissants… so good! We can’t recommend the accomodation more. Thanks from New Zealand for your hospitality & kindness 🙏🏻 -
