- Makkah (1/5): Great Potential, but Lacked Basic Reliability - The location was excellent, and the kitchen was impressively well-equipped for cooking. I would have gladly extended my stay, but I was hindered by unreliable internet and a lack of responsiveness from the host. Additionally, having several locked rooms and cabinets throughout the space felt a bit suspicious. While the kitchen and location were highlights, several issues made the stay difficult: Connectivity: The Wi-Fi was non-functional the entire time. The host deferred the fix daily and expected me to handle the technical troubleshooting. Check-in & Accuracy: The listed address is incorrect. It is a 5-minute walk from where you are dropped off, so try to arrive during the day to navigate the area. Maintenance & Safety: The hallway lighting is insufficient and stays dark. Host Expectations: I was asked to move furniture/equipment to fix the internet despite a strict damage deposit policy. There is also a requirement to remove trash, but the bin location wasn't clearly explained.
