Guest Reviews
- Lachlan (10/5): Lovely place to stay! - Great place to stay!
- Aleksandr (10/5): -
- Ingrid (10/5): - Really peaceful place, close to the center and the staff was adorable with us :)
- jessica (10/5): -
- Sean (10/5): - Location perfect for little adams peak and 9 arches bridge within walking distance. Mr Roti and other restaurants across the road good food. Our host did a cooking class which was fabulous. The room had a veranda where we ate breakfast and generally relaxed. It was clean spacious and comfortable. Thank you for having us!
Wee climb up the steps to secret nest
- Francis (7/5): - Good location relatively close to 9 Arches Bridge and Little Adams Peak Trail. It was a short tuktuk ride to Ella center and restaurants and the train station.
Nishantha was kind enough to pick us up from Udawalawe and bring us to his house. Naranji's freshly prepared breakfasts were delicious. 69 steps from the street to the house.
Located in the mountain it was very damp and our clothes never dried.
- Tobias (9/5): Beautiful cozy location for very attractive price - Very warm and attentive owner. Prepared delicious breakfast according to our schedule. Beautiful garden/surrounding. Smell in the bathroom at first could have been better. However, disappeared throughout our stay.
- Megan (9/5): - The family were so lovely and friendly. They made amazing breakfasts for us, including eggs, rotti, fresh fruit, tea/coffee, pancakes, string hoppers, etc, nothing was too much to ask for. When i said i loved dhal, they made it for breakfast the next day. They gave us advice on activities and hikes to do nearby too, and they arranged our transport from Ella > Kandy at a good price (we saw wild elephants on the drive!!!) They also do a cooking class that looks amazing, sadly we didnt do it as we already had another booked.
The room was clean and comfortable. No AC but wasnt needed as the house is sheltered from the sun and was quite cool in the evening anyway. A fan is included but we didnt use it. Powerful hot shower and fridge in the room. Location was great, 20mins walk from town centre and up in the hills, the walk isnt bad as its a steady incline. It is so peaceful. There are a set of steep steps up from the road which were fine for us but maybe difficult for others.
Overall if we return to Ella we would definitely stay here again. The price is also so good!! Room was damp, likely as the bathroom doesnt have much ventilation and Ella is humid so the air is naturally quite moist and therefore expected
- Genevieve (10/5): Great place to stay with lovely family - A friend recommended to stay here and we were not disappointed. Neranji and family are very friendly and welcoming, they also make delicious breakfast and tea! I enjoyed drinking tea on the terrace and watching birds and squirrels in the trees. The cooking lesson was great and a must if you're staying there. The location is nice, it is more quiet and peaceful but still walking distance to town and Little Adam's Peak and Nine Arch Bridge. N/A
- Ben (10/5): -
- Thomas (10/5): - Great Place to stay close to Little Adams Peak and Nine Arch Bridge. Neranji and her husband are excellent hosts and took good care of us. The breakfast was delicious, as was the food we cooked during our cooking class by Neranji.
- Valerie (9/5): -
- Jade (9/5): - I stayed here for 2 nights and had such a lovely experience. The host lives upstairs with her family and rents out two rooms downstairs, which makes the stay feel very personal and welcoming. She is incredibly kind, helpful, and genuinely caring.
The breakfast was amazing — fresh, delicious, and made with so much care. She also offers cooking lessons, and the food we made (and ate!) was absolutely spectacular. It was one of the highlights of my stay.
They can also help arrange transportation and even do your laundry, which made everything so easy and stress-free.
I highly recommend staying here if you want somewhere warm, authentic, and well looked after. Truly a wonderful experience!
- Ellanee (10/5): Amazing stay!! - This was the best place we stayed in Sri Lanka so far. Naranji and her family are so so welcoming and kind. The home stay is tucked up a hill and surrounded by a beautiful garden, a peaceful escape from the bustle of Ella but only about 10 minutes from the centre. We loved the home cooked breakfasts on the terrace. The cooking class was so so wonderful and the kitchen overlooks the beautiful hills around Ella as the sun sets. The Sri Lankan curry and rice was the best we’ve ever had. Naranji has such a passion for Sri Lankan food and takes great care over her cooking and you feel that when you are in her lesson or eat one of her meals. I immediately recommended this to my friends coming in a few weeks and I really recommend to anyone looking for an insight into Sri Lankan culture and a welcoming home from home. We left with cinnamon sticks gifted from her garden, Sri Lankan spices from the cooking class and very full hearts! Thank you Naranji and family!
Merci encore !
- Shehani (10/5): It’s really a secret nest! Must do! - It felt like an oasis in the jungle, very beautiful. The nature was stunning and rustic, as if we were in the middle of a rainforest. It’s located within a 15 minute wak to the center, so is not very loud but is still reachable. Neranji is an incredible host who treats her guests with so much love and care. She also offers an incredible 2 hour cooking class that is definitely an interesting experience if you want to learn more about Sri Lankan cuisine. Afterwards, you get to enjoy the most delicious home made Sri Lankan rice and curry.
- Waverly (9/5): Warm stay with a superb location - Our Host, Neranji definitely makes the whole stay much more than just a bed. Place is comfortable and clean, warm welcome by host, superb location walking distance to the main attractions Nine arches and little Adam peak. Could even catch a small break back at the homestay in between activities. Food there was amazing and She even has cooking classes that is worth doing it. Room is definitely worth the value, but I do hope the washroom can be better maintained
- Mark (10/5): Hidden Gem of Ella - Everything about this place was amazing! It was far enough out of town that we weren’t affected by the night life and close enough that we could walk into town. Neranji cooks food that you say you like and always has a smile on her face. A great stay and our favourite part of Ella. And if you choose to do her cooking class you won’t be disappointed. Nothing.
Elke dag ander ontbijt was zeer goed was.
- Alba (10/5): Felt like home - I had a wonderful stay here — they truly treated me like family and the owners are incredibly kind. Neranji cooked me amazing breakfasts every day, and her cooking lesson is something you absolutely shouldn't miss! She shared so much knowledge about Sri Lankan food, and every dish was delicious. Nishantha was also incredibly helpful — he helped me book my bus and massage, and gave me great tips on what to do in Ella. They’re all the time available for their guests needs, I truly appreciated that. The place is peaceful and surrounded by nature — you can hear the birds singing, and the balcony overlooks a beautiful garden. I also loved the cinnamon tea, made straight from their own cinnamon tree.
The room was clean and had everything I needed. It was a bit humid at first, but I just opened the door and slept with the mosquito net — no problem at all.
I loved it so much that I extended my stay by three more nights. Great value for the price and a truly memorable experience, come to this place if you want to experience the real Srilankan hospitality ❤️
- Dongeui (10/5): Exceptional - I felt truly at home during my stay here. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, and I was treated more like a friend than a guest. One of the highlights was the cooking session with Neranji – such a memorable and meaningful experience. It was amazing to learn how to prepare wholesome Sri Lankan dishes in a real home kitchen. I’d absolutely love to come back when I return to Sri Lanka.
- Karim (8/5): Very good - Location was amazing, Little adams peak and 9 arch bridge hike was very near.
The breakfast was amazing as well, the land lady was very cheerful and helpful.
- Julia (10/5): Our #1 Homestay in Sri Lanka - Staying at 10+ home stays around Sri Lanka with comparable rooms/rates, this is the one that stood out!
It’s run by the most lovely and caring host family going “the extra mile” so you have the perfect stay in Ella.
The 3h-cooking-class by Neranji was an amazing experience to learn about traditional Sri Lankan cuisine/ingredients, cook together, and eat multiple tasty meals (Must Do! - ask her via PM or upon arrival)
Neranji varies with her breakfast and we had three different (big) meals during our stay.
Very close to the starting points of the hikes to Little Adam’s Peak & Nine Arch Bridge.
The family can help organizing your Tuk Tuk transfer to Nuwara Eliya/Kandy at better rates than the rental companies, so you can enjoy the train ride hassle free.
- Armin (10/5): A Lovely Family, Hearts Full of Joy, Nestled in Nature’s Embrace - My wife and I spent three weeks in Sri Lanka, staying in nine different places, and now that our trip is over. Honestly, my top pick is shared between three places, with our stay in Ella definitely making the list.
Luxury hotels might be cool for a short while, but places like Secret Nest and meeting people like Narinji and her lovely family just stay with you and make you miss your trip even more as time goes by. Narinji, her husband, mom, and kids are all so sweet, and I can honestly say the word “homestay” totally fits their place. If you get the chance to stay there, don’t miss out on two things:
first, Narinji’s delicious home-cooked dinner (super affordable!), and second, her cooking class—which ends again with great Dinner:D.
If you’re a nature fan like us and enjoy meeting new people, this is really the best option in Ella. The place is a bit out of town, but not too far, and it’s easy to explore the amazing nearby nature. Breakfasts are awesome too; Narinji is so thoughtful and always checks with you about what you want.
Yeah, you’ll have to walk up a few steps, but honestly, the view and cozy vibe totally make it worth it!
- Francisco (10/5): Exceptional - Highly recomend Secret Nest Homestay!!! Everything is perfect . Perfect to get away from the noise in the city center and has a very cosy terrace.
The family was super friendly and helpfull!
- Emily (10/5): Exceptional - Narinji and her family are lovely hosts. The location is perfect. The included Breakfast in the morning is very good and her coocking class you can book additional is excepional! Would definitely come again!
- Özkan (8/5): Very good - * Narenji is a very friendly, helpful Lady.
* Cookery lesson * Bathroom needs fixing.
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stacey (9/5): Our favourite home stay. Just perfect 👌🏾 - We loved our stay it was perfect! The room was big with doors opening out onto the balcony. You’re up in the trees with the nature it’s perfect. We didn’t have any mosquito problems!
We also did the cooking course they offer. It’s 4000lkr pp but it was such a good evening! The only thing which might make it difficult is it’s really far from the centre of Ella. Around 30 minutes walk. It didn’t bother us as we hired a scooter but for some might not be great. However the bonus of this is that you don’t get the noise at night from the centre because Ella is loud until 3am partying!
- Radu (10/5): A journey into the sri lanka'n lives - A great familly with love in their hearts! All was good
- William (9/5): Superb - Our host was lovely and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The location is a little far from the centre of town but is great for getting to other attractions like little Adams peak and nine arch bridge. Breakfast was great!
- Michael (9/5): Superb - Nice stay in Ella with friendliest hosts and yummy food
- Ragettli (6/5): Pleasant -
- Tracy (10/5): Exceptional - Great location for Little Adams peak and 9 arch bridge, 15 mins walk into centre. Awesome cookery course and excellent breakfasts. Very helpful with organizing things. Steps up would not suit the infirm.
- Maru (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice accomodation, room big enough, comfortable bed, lovely patio with a view to a wonderful garden.
Neranji, the host, is amazing person. We could check-in earlier, she prepared delicious breakfast and she also prepared perfect dinner when I asked for it for the last minute.
Really recommend this wonderful place. Nothing, it was perfect.
- Karolina (10/5): The host and her family are lovely, helpful people! Our room was clean and well maintained. It was magnetic to sit on pa - Humble, but clean place with lovely patio. Amazing breakfast
- Congiu (8/5): Peaceful place in Ella - The owners are absolutely nice people, they came pick us up when we arrived at the train station. Neranji cooked for us breakfast and dinner and arranged us a scooter for explore the area. People are absolutely amazing and I don't regret being here at all but there's something that is worth mentioning. Leeches. A lot! So beware everytime you come into the room. The humidity is crazy, even the bed is wet and all the room smells for this reason.
Last of all, the homestay is a little bit far from Ella but you can rent a scooter or walk for 20-something minutes so for me not a problem.
Complessively it's a good place though.
- Johnny (9/5): Another honest, friendly guesthouse, offering more than mid range hotels, very tasty meals. - The host family are amazing, so helpful, delicious food, both breakfast and dinner meals,
Cooking class was great.
Rooms are comfortable, we slept well
- Artur (10/5): The best hosts we met in whole Sri Lanka - Through my journey I met a lot of great people, but Neranji and her husband are absolutely the best of them all. The love and care we've received at these place highly overcame my expectations. It's a great place, close to the city but away from the city hustle. The food is delicious. And I highly recommend you choose to go to the cooking classes with Neranji, she's a real chef :)
- Rohit (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, amazing host who helped us with information about places to visit in Ella and prepared for us the best breakfast I had in Srilanka. She also arranged scooter for us and was considerate with the price due to the rains. Nine arches and Lil Adams peak is close by. Good eateries nearby plus you get home made food as well if you want. Highly recommended.
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Liam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maciej (10/5): Exceptional - Very friendly and helpful host! The food was amazing!! The best breakfast we had in Sri Lanka. The place was very calm and nice.
- Aurelie (10/5): Great - Very friendly host ans family, everything was nice and the breakfast was very good! :)
- Eline (10/5): Exceptional - The host was amazing! So friendly and an amazing cook. We followed her cooking class and she also helped us to get some spices for at home! Would definitely come back here.
- Pukar (9/5): Superb -
- Maxi (10/5): Exceptional - That place is the best place to be for your stay in Ella. It’s surrounded by trees and fruits and the host is super friendly and welcoming - I would go there again and again. Also it’s pretty close to the Little Adams Peak and the Nine Arches Bridge - perfect! -
- Alex (9/5): Nice and friendly hosts, quiet place very close to some trailheads - Location was really great, in a quiet spot next to a lot of green but still 5 minutes walk away from Ella.
Also, hike trailheads for Little Adam's peak and Nine Arch Bridge are just a step away.
The family running the place are fenomenal, very nice and the breakfast are super good.
If you like hey also organize Sri Lankan cooking lessons.
Very good value for money, the room was very big with a mosquito net and a lot of furniture. The room came with a nice porch facing a small jungle area where you could sit on rocking chairs or have breakfast at the table. We didn't know that in Sri Lanka still a lot of people are using asbestos sheets for roofing. Unfortunately they have some, and one of those was placed in front of our porch door to cover for water splashes. I've talked to the lady explaining the dangers of it, especially for them living there, and she told us she would have removed the sheet at the porch asap
- Stanisław (10/5): Exceptional - The owner is a super nice person. Very hospitable and friendly. The room is comfortable with everything you might need (there's even a hairdryer). The location is also good, a bit further away from the city center which I consider a plus (but still walkable). It's very close to the trailhead to nine arch bridge and little Adams peak which is a huge plus. Moreover the included breakfast is very good and big. Neranji organizes a cooking class which we participated in and it was a great experience. The curry we cooked together was the best I have had during my stay in Sri Lanka. Very nice place, I really recommend staying there. Everything was perfect :)
- Diogo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rosie (10/5): Peaceful homestay! - Delicious breakfast, extremely attentive host Neranji and lovely outdoor area in the garden. Neranji helped us to arrange onwards transport, laundry and a dietary requirement-friendly breakfast
- Francesca (9/5): Superb - Stretegic location, near Little Adam's Peak and 9 Arches Bridge.
The hosting family is really nice, they organize cooking classes for a very reasonable price.
Breakfast is good
- Corinna (8/5): Great stay - Very nice host family
Picked me up at the train station
Carried my backpack up the stairs to the apartment.
Nice view
Great Breakfast
Much space to store luggage Many stairs to the apartment as it is above the street
- Júlia (10/5): Exceptional - Great family, location and views
- Jannik (10/5): Exceptional - By the time we arrived, the host helped to bring our big bagpacks to the house. That is pretty close to the little adams peak and to the nine ages bright. In genal the couple is really friends and is helping with what ever they can. They planed and recommended some sports for the next day and were pretty flexible with the tike of the breakfast. Bye the way the traditionals sweet breakfast was amazing. It was even possible to do a cooking class the same day pretty spontaneous. The cooking lesson was amazing she has so much knowledge and it was a lot of fun. Booth of them have a good level of english and it was interesting what they told us about the sir lankan traditional and cultural side.
- Marin (10/5): Gladly again <3 - The hosts are super friendly and help where they can.
The breakfast is fantastic - highly recommended.
And the location is perfect as well, between 'little adams peak' and the 'nine arces bridge'
- Nick (4/5): Disappointing -
- Raf (10/5): Exceptional - After the scenic train ride from Hatton to Ella, we booked Secret Nest as our sixth accommodation during our 15-day tuktuk road trip through Sri Lanka.
The homestay offers three spotlessly clean bedrooms with private bathroom.
The owner/host, Neranj, made us feel very welcome and cooked up a delicious breakfast, which we could enjoy on te terrace right outside our room.
Her sister organizes Lanka cooking classes and offers laundry service. The cooking classes we did not attend ourselves, but we gladly made use of the laundry service.
Secret Nest is ideally located close to several walking routes to the nine-arch bridge and Little Adam's Peak, and a 15-20 minute walk to the (bustling) Ella town center. In other words, nice and quiet for a good night's sleep, yet not too far away from the main sights of Ella.
One thing you must absolutely take into account is the fact that there are quite a few - not always even - steps to take to reach the accommodation.
Thank you, Neranj!
Love from Belgium,
Raf and Nadine
- Mikkel (10/5): Enjoyed staying in Ella - The family is amazing and invited us to celebrate new years with them. We also appreciated the cooking class Our room was a bit damp.
- Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional - So amazing. The family were so lovely. We really enjoyed staying here. Cooking class was great and arranged train tickets 🎟️ for us.
We were privileged to be invited to their families new years celebrations. Loved it here. Need to wear PJ's in bed
- Rebeca (9/5): Superb - The hospitality and kindness from the owner and the amazing breakfast it was amazing taste just in equilibrium. Actually she is giving a fantastic cooking class lesson for a reasonable price. I will recommend you book it.
- Dominik (8/5): Good stay in the green a bit out of Ella city - Clean room, very friendly family and good breakfast. Got lovely homemade cinnamon tea fresh from the tree. 20min walk from the unpretty town. The view in the green with seeing and hearing the animals was great. Close to nine arches bridge and little adams peak.
But we recommend going to AMBA estate tea factory and after a tour there you can do a very beautiful hike to Ella Rock and from there down to Ella. Room was wet what is quite normal in the region, but everything was wet. The bed is hard and short for >1.85m tall people which was annoying with the mosquito net. The net is needed as there were a lot of mosquitos allthough we kept doors and windows closed.
- Nicky (10/5): Excellent - We had an amazing stay at the Homestay. Such a lovely owner who prepared a freshly made breakfast every day. Even got to taste some of the traditional sweets of Sri Lanka. We also did the cooking class which was really nice and tasteful. It is from walking distance to the Nine Arch Bridge and Little Adams Peak. The Homestay is a little bit further from the city centre but we had our own Tuk Tuk so that wasn’t a problem for us.
- Michal (10/5): Exceptional - This accommodation is unforgettable! Absolutely family-friendly environment, beautiful and open communication with the lady owner and her husband. Her cooking classes were already a bonus, which completed the utmost satisfaction. Whoever wants to experience the "real" Sri Lanka should choose this accommodation.
- Simone (10/5): Exceptional -
- Magdalena (10/5): Exceptional - Our host was amazing - she gave us awesome tipps what to do in the area, orginized transportation whenever we needed one, had good dinner recommandations, made delicious homemade breakfast and learned us 4 amazing curries during our cooking class. We loved reading and relaxing on the balcony. And the little adam's peak and the 9 arches bridge are quite close.
- Justyna (10/5): Exceptional - A great place to stay in Ella. Walking distance from city town, close to Little Adam' s Peak Trail and Nine Arches Bridge. Nice rooms with bathrooms.
The host (Neranji) is very friendly and takes care of her guests.
She is an excellent cook, the breakfasts and dinners were the best I had during my all stay in Sri Lanka.
She also offers cooking classes, that are worth taking. Pleasure to learn and to eat.
I highly recommend the stay in Secret Neet Homestay.
- Molly (9/5): Superb - We absolutely loved our stay at Neranji’s place. It is a peaceful haven tucked away from the busyness of Ella’s main street but within 20 mins walking distance and a perfect location for nine arch bridge and little adams peak. Neranji was so friendly, welcoming and we especially appreciated being greeted with tea on arrival after a long hot journey! The cooking class was a highlight and a must-do for any visitors. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Ella! The wifi was a little slow but this seems an issue everywhere in SL.
- Lorena (10/5): A real Secret Nest - We loved our stay at Secret Nest. It‘s in walking distance to the centre, the bridge and little adams peak.
The cooking class was also great. -
- Hazel (9/5): wonderful hospitality at secret nest - the most wonderful experience at this homestay. Nira is an amazing host, the best hospitality and breakfast we’ve had in the whole of Sri Lanka. You also have to do the cooking class if you stay, she is a fabulous cook and teaches you recipes you can actually reproduce at home. the only negative we had was the room was slightly damp, however we slept with the doors open a little and the mosquito net and we didn’t have a problem.
- Minky (10/5): What a find! 💚 - What a fabulous place to relax and enjoy Ella. Away from the bustle of the centre but within easy walk or tuk tuk. Amazing terrace, incredible food. Make sure you order dinner. The cooking classes are meant to be great too. Lovely family who make you feel very welcome. 🧡 Leaving!!
- Hanes (10/5): Exceptional - The host is a superhuman. She does it all.
Good food/breakfast.
The cooking class was good also.
The place is walking distance from 9 arches bridge and Little Adams peak, right between them 1km and something from the city centre, but you cannot have it all
- Nikola (10/5): Best homestay in Sri Lanka - Everything! Nera is a wonderful host that made me feel like at home. She prepares abundant and tasty Sri Lankan breakfast, tea during the day, and I also joined her cooking class. Location is quiet, yet a short walk to the Nine Arch Bridge and Little Adam’s Peak, you can also reach some nearby restaurants. Nothing. The Internet connection was not the fastest, so if you work, you might need to use data - but this is something I’ve experienced in whole Sri Lanka.
- Christian (10/5): Just gorgeous - The hospitality, the family and the location
- Esther (8/5): Very good - Very nice and welcoming family The wifi doesn't work
- Lorenz (10/5): Cozy room with wonderful hosts🙏 - As in most of the more simple guesthouses in SL, also here we had an absolute delightful stay. The rooms were very clean and spacious with enough space for our 2 large backpacks. The terrace in front of the room was nice to relax during the rain and we also got great breakfast, excellent tea and mouth watering dinner 🤤.
But our highlight was the cooking class, we could choose our curries and everything was explained very well. The food was of course very tasty :)!
We would come back anytime. As everywhere in Sri Lanka take care of the leeches during the rainy season.
- Marco (9/5): Superb - good breakfast and dinner, great location near Little Adam's peak and nine arches bridge, very welcoming and helpful hosts
- Alexander (10/5): Exceptional - very friendly hostess and super good food. The hostess even offered us a cooking course and we cooked rice and curry together. Very great location, only 15 minutes walk from Ella and almost direct access to Little Adam's Peak.
would be happy to come back.
- Filippo (8/5): Very good -
- Esther (10/5): They make sure you feel welcome! - What a lovely place and what a lovely familie. The food is great, the location is beautiful and quiet. Nothing
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - The hosts Neranjani and Nishanta are very friendly and courteous and we really enjoyed our stay here. The accomodation is clean and very beautiful, placed in the middle of green with a terace. We also did the cooking class which was very interesting and nice. The breakfast and the dinner (also a fair price) are delicious and plentiful. They also gave us great tips to discover the area and arranged a TukTuk to the Train Station. We really can recommend this homestay!
- Feiertag (10/5): Best hospitality in Sri Lanka - Such a welcoming Familie, clean rooms, amazing breakfast and the best cooking class! Also very Open Family for a chat or a talk. If you have the chance to stay here, go for it!!
- Kevin (10/5): A warm and friendly family home stay. - The hosts we so friendly and welcoming. Nera’s food and attention to the guests was such a treat. It was also a perfect distance from town to access the sights and enjoy the peace of nature.
- Andre (10/5): Exceptional - We had a really nice stay at this homestay. The family who runs this place is extremely hospitable and friendly. They will become like a second family to you and provide help with anything you ask for.
The room was cosy but comfy. There was a ventilator, moskito net and enought power outlets available. Hot water was available, too. We also made use of the laundry service which was very practical and fairly priced.
- Robert (10/5): Wonderful stay! ❤️ - - incredibly warm, helpful and professional owner that took care of us as if we were her children 😉
- great location just few minutes away from 9 Arches Bridge and Little Adam's Peak. Ella City Centre can be reached on foot
- delicious homemade meals prepared by the Lady of the house
- comfortable room with veranda where we had breakfasts and dinners
- it's so quiet here 😉
Stay exceeded our expectations! 👍👍👍
- Alena (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location, excellent breakfast and dinner. Very attentive and helpful owner. I can only recommend this accommodation and a great family.
Thank you very much for everything
- Ishanka (10/5): Exceptional - Everything were perfect and exeed than expections. Owners are very kind and helpful. Food was very tasty and perfect. Nothing
- Sabrina (10/5): Exceptional - Super nice homestay with incredible host.
We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed every bit of it. Naranji is the most friendliest person, she invited us to a traditional New years dinner with her familiy. We also did a cooking class with her.
She helped us organise some Trips around ella and her husband drove us to our next stop in tangalle. 100!!
- Justyna (10/5): Ideally located and very friendly homestay with best food ever! - We absolutely loved our stay at Secret Nest. The room is simple but has everything you need - comfy bed with mosquito net, towel rack and shelf to unpack on, a fan and, most importantly in cooler Ella - shower with properly hot water! The location is ideal to discover on food Nine Arch Bridge and Little Adam’s peak, as Secret Nest is literally between these two attractions. It’s also located outside of busy centre, which to us was a big plus! Also, right next to the patio there ate tea bushes growing, so no need to search for tea plantation :)
Finally, the food was excellent! Breakfast was different each day and very local and delicious. We also ordered a dinner the first evening after arrival and after tasting it, we didn’t want to eat anywhere anymore! The food was excellent!
We alsolutely recommend everyone to stay at Secret Nest! Nothing, everything was perfect!
