On the day of my stay, I contacted the owner and was told he had SOLD the property and couldn’t host me. He claimed he had asked Booking.com to cancel all bookings, but I was never refunded, never stayed there, and he completely stopped answering my calls and messages after that. This was a total waste of time and money, and I believe he’s still scamming others by leaving the listing active and collecting payments for a property he doesn’t even own anymore. I’ve reported this to Booking.com and am still waiting for a refund. Just wanted to warn anyone thinking about booking — don’t risk it. - Mary-ann (1/5): Didn’t even get to stay because the booking was canceled because of a double booking - Nothing Host called to cancel straight away because he said I had to cancel the booking and that I would be refunded. Have not seen the refund yet 5 days later
- Mark (6/5): Great site, needs a polish - Great new accommodation with modern facilities. Location was excellent too and would have been perfect had the icing been on the cake. Arrived and discovered no hot water, had to figure out the gas needed turned on. TV had no signal. Only one bowl in cupboard so had to tag team breakfast. Rubbish in only rubbish drawer, coffee (found in bedroom) old and stale and no milk/soap. Fridge had leftovers in it - was this an AirBNB? Used the towel in the bathroom for wiping hands and discovered only 1 towel in the ensuite for showering. Another sharing moment. Would pay to plan ahead if you are coming but it is a lovely spot.
