- Moritz (4/5): Conclusion: Real Domus is not a tranquil escape by the sea but part of a noisy, overused beach zone - Disappointing – not what the photos promise. Pros: • Friendly and helpful hosts. • Spacious apartment. • Close proximity to the beach. Cons: Misleading advertising: The photos suggest an exclusive, peaceful retreat with a private beach. In reality, it’s the exact opposite: a crowded public beach with loud beach clubs and music, especially during evenings and weekends. If you enjoy busy beach scenes, this might be for you – otherwise, be warned. Noise and lack of privacy: • Loud music from nearby beach bars and event venues until late at night. • The apartment is located directly above another rental unit from the same host – extremely noisy and poorly insulated. Access and parking issues: • The access road is a narrow, winding path often blocked by beachgoers’ parked cars. • Multiple gates must be manually opened to reach the parking area. • The private parking is unpaved, muddy, and costs €20/day – completely disproportionate to what’s offered. Poor self-catering infrastructure: • The supermarket is not accessible on foot, and reaching it by car is difficult due to the road situation. • The only pedestrian path uphill (approx. 15 min) was closed during our stay. Beach hygiene concerns: • One morning, toilet paper and other debris were floating in the water. • The coffee machine at the beach bar was broken – we were given a lukewarm cappuccino without being informed. Reality vs. online images: • The apartment is not as refined or well-maintained as shown online. • This is not a luxurious, peaceful beachfront stay – it’s an overpriced and overstated listing.

- Lynne (9/5): Enjoyable stay at Real Domus - We stayed in Daisy apartment which had the living area on the ground floor and rest of property, including 2 bathrooms, upstairs. The owner and her team were extremely kind and helpful, kitchen was well equipped (and with a welcome pack that was much appreciated), property is less than a minute to a clean and sandy beach with sunbeds, food and drinks available - the beach was busy at the weekend but quieter in the week. The main town is a steep cobbled half mile walk up the hill but only takes 10 minutes or so and there is a frequent daytime shuttle bus as an alternative. We felt well served for grocery shopping/restaurants and cafés, including a restaurant on the beach which was open in the evening when we visited. It was convenient to be close to the train station for the Circumvesuviana service - easy transport to main sights and cities/ports. Overall, for a family holiday with mid-teens, we're really happy we chose to stay here. There were a couple of maintenance issues when we stayed - but each time were dealt with extremely quickly (within the hour).
- Rebecca (10/5): An amazing property right on the beach - After a disastrous couple of days in a property we had originally booked through booking.com we booked this property last minute without really researching the area. The Real Domus staff looked after us like family they really were amazing. The property is right on the beach, there is a shuttle bus that you can catch up and down to the town. The property has everything you need! The bed linen and towels were perfect. The accommodation was spotless. There were welcome goodies in the fridge, fresh fruit on the table and even toiletries in the bathroom.There is a nice outside area you can use to relax during the evening. We very nearly booked an early flight home but are so glad we found this little gem. The owners even arranged a transfer back to the airport at the end of our stay. We had a great trip. Very difficult to find a negative? Remember to book a sunbed on the beach during the weekend as it gets very busy!
