• Sarah (7/5): A good location, accommodation was rather tired overall, but value for what I paid for. - Location was good. Not right in the centre of the old town, but close enough for a walk or short taxi ride. There were plenty of places nearby to get breakfast and lunches. Furniture etc was simple but all we needed. Beds are hard, this seems to be standard in Vietnam and I was the only one who likes this! Location is down a small side alley, so it was really nice and quiet. There was a bit of mold here and there, probably because of the age and the fact that there were no windows that could open. Only two rolls of toilet paper across three toilets, with a family of five more would have been helpful. Also, whilst there is a washing machine/tumble dryer there was no washing powder provided. When I asked about this I was told that they had just run out and could I go buy some myself. Whilst cheap I don't really want to be buying items such as this that I am never going to take with me.

• Duhy (8/5): A good location if you want to discover old town and lake - The location is really perfect for a walk to the lake and old town. Lots of restaurants are only minutes walk. The host is very communicative and she answered very quickly all our requests.

• marie (7/5): Maison typique mais équipements sommaires - L'emplacement est parfait, non loin su lac et des commerces dans le vieux quartier Nous étions 5 avec nos enfants (3 jeunes adultes) et avons apprécié les 4 chambres. Les hôtes ont gardé nos valises entre nos 2 séjours car nous avons voyagé vers le centre et sommes revenus sur Hanoï, c'était très gentil de leur part. La maison est typique (maison tube) mais qui mériterait un rafraîchissement et sans luminosité. Les salles de bain sont très sommaires (sans cabine de douche) comme souvent en Asie. Et pévoyez de la monnaie pour le paiement car ils vous le demanderont dès votre arrivée.

• Bích Phương (10/5): - Mình vừa có dịp ở Toda House và trải nghiệm rất hài lòng. Homestay decor ấm cúng, nhiều góc chụp hình đẹp. Phòng sạch sẽ, đầy đủ tiện nghi, giường nệm êm nên ngủ rất thoải mái. Chủ nhà thân thiện, hỗ trợ khách nhiệt tình từ lúc check-in đến gợi ý chỗ ăn chơi quanh khu vực. Vị trí thuận tiện, yên tĩnh, thích hợp cho cả nghỉ dưỡng lẫn làm việc từ xa. Giá cả hợp lý so với chất lượng, chắc chắn sẽ quay lại khi có dịp.
• JIAQIANG (8/5): Quite good generally - No doubt, Toda house is really good for value, especially for family trip. We have six people, and my parents, sister and nephews all have good arrangement. Don’t eat sweet food at house, or will attract ants. And the sheets are a bit dirty.

• Gerli (7/5): Good - Good price, toilet on each floor. Owner let us put our bags in the room before check in time. The house needed some more cleaning, towels had big old stains on them (probably hard to remove by washing, but still).

Plenty of space for family of 4 Nothing. Maybe if really pushed- a washing machine. BUT at this price I would not see this as an issue. Plenty of laundries nearby
• Glaister (7/5): Great value for money but be prepared that the beds are fairly uncomfortable to sleep on - The location is fantastic, most things in the French quarter were nearby. after our stay, we took the G8 sleeper bus to Sa Pa, the bus stop was conveniently only a 5 minute walk away. The beds were fairly uncomfortable, they were pretty hard to sleep on. The showers are in an inconvenient spot (understanding there is limited space) you couldn’t bring in your change of clothes without it getting wet in some regard.
• Jill (9/5): Superb - This is a 4 storey, 4 bedroom charming old style shop house in the Banking/Embassy/French Quarter area of Ha Noi situated next to the American Ambassadors residence and down a quiet soi. Contact with the owner is quick via whats app or booking.com. If your looking for a place that makes you feel like your living in Ha Noi this is it. Its a short distance to the walking streets of the old quarter and a quick grab to everything else. Lots of food options nearby, kitchen set up so you can do a little cooking. It's a big house , great for travelling friends or couples. Maybe not so great for toddlers/elderly as the stairs might be a challenge. Water is supplied , linen and towels. This is not a hotel , so you need to clean up after yourself just like at home ,this might not suit everyone but it was fine with us.
• Phi (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and has all the amenities required. Location is a bit far from the tourist attractions.
