• Zimkhitha (3/5): The owner was so rude I can never recommend the property. - Very convenient ,close to most attractions I had a problem ,the gate of the property bumped into my car because the gate didn’t have sensor .I reported to the host she told me that the gate had never done that before and dropped the call while we were still talking. That was very rude .

• Cheryl (7/5): Spacious accommodation with a couple of issues... - Very clean, spacious accommodation. Warmly welcomed by a very gracious housekeeper. Mosquito mitigation measures are clearly needed in and around the property as we received numerous bites from mosquitoes overnight. Because of this we did not get much sleep and were exhausted during our long drive the next day. Additionally, our planned early morning departure was delayed by a malfunctioning security gate because we did not want to leave the property with the gate left open and unattended. The owner / host apologized profusely; however, they did not seem to be in the area to promptly resolve the issue.
• Nicola (9/5): - The location was very close to where we needed to be everyday. The flat was very clean when we arrived and was services adequately everyday. The walls in the kitchen area were damp so there was a musty smell in the cupboards and the kitchen area.

The staff were incredibly friendly and made my stay so comfortable. The location was great and i loved the peaceful atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and stay again Nothing

• Ntembeko (4/5): Convenient location, but access issues and unreliable Wi-Fi made it comfortable than nearby places. - The location was convenient. I had difficulty accessing the property because the intercom wasn’t working and there were no alternative entry instructions. I eventually found the owner’s number on Booking.com and called to be let in. The Wi-Fi was unreliable and buffered constantly, which affected the TV since it depends on the internet. I was advised to use my own DStv account, which was disappointing. My originally booked room had a window that banged in the wind, and I asked to be moved to a quieter room.

• Mauritz (9/5): Superb - We had car troubles and had to book a unexpected stay with us ending up getting there late. I called and was helped very friendly to arrange for the stay. Upon arriving everything was perfect for us and the lady was so helpful and friendly even though it was late already. The next morning again all smiles. I would recommend H cottages any time and we would definitely stay there again. Nothing was out of place, the room was clean and perfect.

• Mzondeleli (5/5): Passable - We felt very safe at the location and the welcoming was very nice, especially since it was a late booking at night. The bed was stiff for our liking. My partner woke up with a sore neck.

They have kettle, an iron & ironing board available which was nice Aesthetically everything is quiet old, the handwashing soap was weak, toilet paper roll they put in bathroom tears easily when you use it, the WiFi is very weak (practically non existent) used my own data, no shower caps.

• Melanie (9/5): Spacious, pretty, clean and safe apartment, perfect for a self-catering family trip! - The apartment was spacious and immaculately clean. The host and staff were friendly and helpful. For a family travelling for 5 days it allowed for easy self-catering and safe, comfortable nights' sleep for us all. The area was quiet & conveniently located (a very short drive to good shops, restaurants & the Joan Harrison Pool Complex). Would definitely stay here again if in the area. Bonus - the garden was filled with stunning flowers and fairy lights - a beautiful touch that really added an ambience to the stay. The ceiling fan was non-functional which would have been a problem as the weather during our stay was swelteringly hot however the host provided an excellent standing fan when we asked, which helped significantly.

A little hiccup with access to the main house where my room was, it took long to open cuz other guests had locked and left the property. Maybe the staff can consistently carry extra keys to the house to avoid this.
